PICTISH TRAIL is out on the road, and LAURA is away on a holiday trip abroad. But does that mean there'll be no podcast this month? Well, it probably should mean that, but theyâve gone and recorded an episode anyway. Pictish answers a load of fan questions, Laura gives us the PostMap Club spiel, and we also have a featured interview with Will Greenham from BLIND YEO about the making of their compilation album, Echoes / Anam Cara. Thereâs also new music from FELL and a brand new signing, a Berlin-based trio called PAINTING.

Despite the fact theyâve been milking it since January, LOST MAP actually turns 10 years old THIS MONTH, August 2023. To commemorate, LAURA has been canvassing artists and pals of the label for their cherished thoughts and recollections. Meanwhile, PICTISH TRAIL is trying to forget the taste of warm strawberry milk.
We hear from CLĂMENTINE MARCH, photographer STEPHANIE GIBSON, SERAFINA from BAS JAN, CALLUM + GLORIA of MARANTA, EIMEAR of HAPPY SPENDY, SUSAN BEAR, label manager KATE CANAVERAL, our in-house designer DAVID GALLETLY, NEIL + LAURA from FIRESTATIONS, and MONOGANON. Thereâs also brand new music from AMY MAY ELLIS and ALEXIA AVINA.
Throughout the episode there are clips of our guest's favourite songs, many of which feature on a limited edition 44-track double-disc CD compilation entitled TEN YEARS OF LOST MAP. You can receive a free copy of this album with any spend over ÂŁ20 on our webshop or Bandcamp, throughout August.

Hooray. Itâs another episode of the Lost Map Podcast! LAURA opens todayâs show with some light mastication, before indulging into full-on manifestation. What does that mean? Who knows, but PICTISH TRAIL is near by to mop up the juice with his super-dry chat about tax thresholds.
Thankfully thereâs also some music. Weâve got tunes from MARTHA FFION, MARANTA plus the exclusive first play of the debut single from new collective band LOST MAP presents WEIRD WAVE.
This monthâs featured interview is with Walthamstowâs shoegaze âunhappy slowcoreâ merchants, FIRESTATIONS. Mike, Laura and Martin talks us through the birth of the band, the songwriting process, and the making of their new album, Thick Terrain - which is out 14th July on limited edition vinyl.

Itâs April Fools Day, and PICTISH TRAIL and LAURA are really struggling to make important Lost Map announcements convincingly. Will there actually be a Howlinâ Fling this year? Thankfully thereâs new music from MARTHA FFION, FIRESTATIONS, plus tracks from L.T. LEIF and AMY MAY ELLIS, to break up the tedium.
This monthâs interview is with Emma, Simone and Rowan of HAIRBAND, who chat to us from Rowanâs living room in Glasgow - with fellow bandmate Rachel sending messages from Berlin. They talk us through the making of their fantastic new album, Under The Plow - which is out on 21st April on very limited edition cassette.
