On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will sweep across North America, affecting Mexico, the US, and Canada. This phenomenon occurs when the Moon fully blocks the Sun, creating twilight-like darkness. Visible along its path are states including Texas, Oklahoma, and New York. Observers should use special solar filters to safely watch the eclipse. The next similar events in Hawaii are a partial solar eclipse on October 2, 2024, and a total lunar eclipse on March 13, 2025
