Today we explore the topic of gender through the lens of engineering. We are joined by the incredible Lily Curtis, a sociologist and current PhD student, who shares her expertise on how our gender identities can have an influence on our daily lives and why this is important to understand as future engineers. We discuss how gender impacts the frameworks in which we live and work, the harm that comes from perpetuating stereotypes and the importance of having diverse and inclusive teams.
Through this discussion we aim to shed light on the intersection of gender and engineering and help to raise awareness and normalise discussions on these topics as we embark on our engineering careers. This episode is not one to miss!

This episode, we are thrilled to be joined with Alson, a representative from Rockwell Automation, as we discuss the future of engineering. Graduating with degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science, Alson speaks to the importance of communication skills in progressing in the workforce and why he prefers the work lifestyle over university lifestyle (it get's better??
