Hello and welcome to the second episode of The Conversation. My name is Kim, and in this podcast, I interview fascinating people from the Age of Sigmar community. In this first season, I want to explore the rich but sometimes fractured narrative scene. Together, we can learn more about the community and the people within it.
In this episode, I'm interviewing Andreas Nyström—a lifelong Warhammer player and a PhD in English literature. We discuss gaming in the gaps, Age of Sigmar as a post-apocalyptic setting, and the Ravage Coast narrative book as a perfect way to conclude your story. We also explore kitbashing and naming your characters as great ways to start your own narrative, as well as the tedious yet rewarding process of learning to write.
All this and much more—so join us as we explore the Age of Sigmar together!

Jesper Melander and Anders "Böbben" Larsson sit down to discuss the stark differences between playing at the top tables versus the bottom tables in a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar tournament. They explore how mindset, strategy, and even their approach to the rules shift depending on their position in the rankings. At the top tables, precision, deep knowledge of the meta, and calculated risks define the game, while at the bottom tables, the atmosphere can be more relaxed—sometimes unpredictable, sometimes just as intense in its own way.
But before diving into tactics and tournament dynamics, let’s get to know them as players and hobbyists. What drew them into Age of Sigmar? What armies do they favor, and how do they prepare for competitive play? From their earliest games to their biggest tournament moments, this introduction sets the stage for an insightful and entertaining discussion.
Whether you're aiming for the top or embracing the chaos of the bottom tables, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss!
