The New York Knicks just ended a 53-year championship drought. And Norense was in a Brooklyn bar watching strangers from every culture, background, and walk of life β hugging, crying, screaming, and celebrating together.
And God used an orange basketball to teach him something about isolation, community, and why the enemy's greatest weapon isn't your past. It's getting you alone.
This episode is a raw, unscripted download from Brooklyn β part testimony, part teaching, part real talk β about what happens when you stop hiding behind the pressure to have it all figured out and start actually doing life with people.
From church hurt after losing his sister, to being moved to tears by a stranger who saw him clearly, to watching Jalen Brunson silence every doubter β Norense weaves it all together into one central truth: you were never meant to do this alone.
In this episode:
Why the enemy's greatest strategy is isolation β and how shame, hurt, and "I'm good" keep you locked in itWhat the Knicks' championship run teaches about being counted out, staying the course, and proving doubters wrong without making it about themThe danger of pseudo-vulnerability β saying how you feel without the facts to face your fightWhy "feeling, feeling, feeling" without healing is just a cycle β and how to actually break itWhat church hurt looks like, why it's real, and how to not let it become a reason to isolate from community entirelyWhy being annoyingly curious about other people is one of the most powerful spiritual practices you haveA live testimony of being prayed over by a stranger who saw him β and breaking down in tears because God used her to say I see youKey Truth: "The enemy fights in isolation. There's no condemnation in Christ Jesus β so step in, show up, and stop letting shame keep you small."
Key Verse: Hebrews 10:25 β Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another.

In one single Sunday, Norense encountered four different people β at church, after service, and late that night β all wrestling with the same thing: negative thoughts, anxiety, suicidal ideation, betrayal, and the feeling that the enemy had the upper hand.
And then he hit record.
This is an emergency episode. Raw, unscripted, and delivered straight from a living room in Brooklyn β because the mind bully is real, it's active, and it doesn't take Sundays off.
Norense opens with a full prayer, walks through his own week β a broken camera, a gaslighting friendship, a heavy heart walking into church β and then unpacks the spiritual mechanics behind every intrusive thought, every wave of apathy, and every whisper that says it's over. He doesn't just offer comfort. He gives you the tools to fight back.
In this episode:
Why the enemy doesn't come with new tricks β just the same ones: self-doubt, shame, fear, and apathyThe honest duality of faith β how you can feel audacious and anxious, joyful and broken, at the exact same timeWhat gaslighting looks like in a friendship β and how to forgive without lowering your standard for who gets access to youWhy suicidal ideation is a lie from the pit of hell β and what God's Word actually says about who you areThe spiritual mechanics of resisting the devil β why he doesn't have to flee if you're not actively submitting to the WordWhy the Bible reads you β and how to let scripture speak before you run to commentary or ChatGPTA live account of being used by God to speak into a stranger's life β even while carrying a heavy heart of your ownKey Truth: "Healing happens when we walk into the room β because Mr. Healing himself lives on the inside of us."
Key Verse: James 4:7 β Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Three-story house. Professional basketball career. Six-figure income. Everything he chased from the time he was a kid getting picked on in Fort Worth, Texas.
And Norense still felt empty.
This episode is a full-circle testimony β recorded live from his first apartment in Brooklyn, New York, on the first Monday he's ever missed posting since launching the Mind Bully Podcast in 2021. Not because he quit. Because God finally answered.
From being bullied for his gap tooth and skin color, to being sexually assaulted between ages 6 and 8, to chasing validation through basketball, achievement, and women, to standing in a new city with less money than he's ever had β and more peace than he's ever felt β Norense delivers one of the most honest episodes of the entire show.
The message? Gratitude. Not the Instagram kind. The kind that only comes when you've been through enough to finally see God's hand clearly.
In this episode:
Why achieving everything you dreamed of can still leave you hollow β and what that emptiness is actually telling youHow placing your identity in performance, roles, and achievement is a form of idolatry β and how to break freeThe connection between childhood wounds, sexual assault, and the desperate search for worth through external validationWhy suicidal ideation is a lie from the pit of hell β and what God's Word says about who you are when the voice gets loudWhat it means to be led by the Spirit versus living by your vices β and why the two lives can look dangerously similar from the outsideWhy exposure leads to expansion β but only if you're consecrated and know who you are firstA live word on gratitude: how to pause in a new season and recognize God's hand before chasing the next thingKey Truth: "The desires God placed on your heart are a heavenly reality of your capacity."
Key Verse: Psalm 139:14 β I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Recorded live from a co-working space in New Jersey β couch surfing, sublet starting June 1st, figuring it out day by day β Norense opens this episode with a question that most people are too afraid to ask out loud:
What do you do when God doesn't come through the way you thought He would?
It started with an Instagram Live. A viewer kept asking the same question over and over: "How do I have more faith that God will get me and my girl back together?" And instead of answering on the surface, Norense went deeper β to the root of why we ask the questions we ask, and what we're really crying out for when we try to box God into the shape of our broken heart.
This episode is for anyone in a season of loss β a relationship, a role, an identity β who is still trying to control how God shows up instead of trusting who He already is.
In this episode:
Why the question you keep asking God reveals what you've placed your identity in β and how to find it againWhat it means to box God into the shape of your broken heart β and why it leaves Him no room to be who He isHow loss β of a relationship, a role, a season β is often God's protection disguised as painWhy God has already answered your prayer β and the real question is whether you're answering His callThe power of serving in your season of need β and how giving unlocks what asking never couldWhy you don't know God like this until life forces you into a situation you've never seen beforeA personal word on surrender: losing a sister to leukemia, losing cousins, navigating a new city alone β and still trusting the processFeatured: Chandler Moore's "What I Needed" β and why the lyric "it's foolish of me to box you in the shape of my broken heart" captures everything this episode is about.
Key Truth: "Deploy yourself. Don't just look for employment β deploy yourself. Because everything is working together for your good."
Key Verse: John 1:1 β In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God already said it's yours. But you still have to go take it.
That's the tension at the heart of Episode 244 β and it's one of the most convicting episodes Norense has recorded. Live from a 12th floor apartment overlooking the Hudson River in New York City, he unpacks the story of the 12 spies in Numbers 13 and delivers a message that will hit anyone who has ever talked themselves out of what God put in front of them.
The land was flowing with milk and honey. God had already shown up β through the Red Sea, through the wilderness, through fire by night and cloud by day. And ten of the twelve spies still came back and said: we were like grasshoppers in our own sight.
That's not just an Old Testament story. That's you every time you automatically reject an opportunity, shrink back from a God-given idea, or let someone else's failed experience become your ceiling.
In this episode:
The story of Caleb and Joshua β and what separated them from the ten spies who gave a bad reportWhy automatic rejection is the fruit of low self-esteem β and what's really at the rootHow spreading a bad report about your own life pulls other people down with youWhy staying in place is actually the irrational choice β not going forwardWhat it means to "possess the land" in your real, everyday life right nowWhy God makes His appeal to the world through you β which means sitting on the promise isn't an optionA live testimony: a PATH train conductor in New York who recognized Norense and reminded him that faith in action produces fruit β even when you can't see itKey Truth: "You are irrational for staying in place."
Key Verse: Numbers 13:30 β Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession of it, for we will certainly conquer it."

Eight hotels. Twenty-one days in New York. Sick throat. Camera cutting out. No sublet locked in.
And Norense is still recording β because that's what confidence in God looks like when it stops being a concept and starts being a lifestyle.
This episode is a raw, unfiltered thought dump from a hotel room in Manhattan β a real-time reminder that confidence isn't built in the comfortable moments. It's forged in the uncertain ones. Norense unpacks what it means to stay bold in who you are when everything around you is shifting, and why the moment you stop giving God thanks is the moment your confidence starts to collapse.
Drawing from Romans 1, Norense reveals the dangerous connection between ingratitude and a darkened mind β and why praise isn't optional. It's protective.
In this episode:
Why confidence is something you hold onto β not something you throw away when obstacles comeThe Romans 1 warning: what happens to your mind when you stop giving God thanks and gloryHow nitpicking yourself into the ground is actually lowering the standard God set for how you should see yourselfWhy you're not defined by every thought that comes into your head β and what to do with the ones that try to take you downThe difference between thinking too highly of yourself and thinking too lowly β and why both are dangerousWhy trying seasons don't break you β they reveal capacity you didn't know you hadA personal inventory: sexual assault, suicidal ideation, losing loved ones, losing in sport β and why none of it disqualifies youKey Truth: "I don't know where I'm going, but I know who's with me."
Key Verse: Romans 1:21 β Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

FIFTH hotel in two weeks. No sublet. No guaranteed next step.
And Norense is still recording.
This episode is one of the most honest things he's put out β a real-time documentary of what it looks like to trust God when the plan collapses, the friend falls through, and the enemy starts whispering that it's time to fold. Recorded live from Brooklyn, New York, this isn't a highlight reel. It's faith under pressure, documented.
Using the story of Abraham β a man who staggered not at the promise of God β Norense breaks down the enemy's three-step strategy against your purpose: doubt, disbelief, and disobedience. And then he dismantles all three with the Word.
In this episode:
Why the enemy doesn't attack you with obvious lies β he attacks you with distorted truth and seeds of doubtThe three-step strategy the enemy uses to take you out: doubt β disbelief β disobedienceWhat Abraham's rugged faith actually looked like β and what it demands from youWhy playing it safe is one of the most dangerous things you can do with your lifeHow to handle disappointment, betrayal, and obstacles without folding or holding grudgesWhy your dreams should make you feel the weight of needing God β and what it means if they don'tA live prayer for anyone in a season of doubt, fear, and uncertaintyA special word for Mental Health Awareness Month β why your feelings are real, valid, and not to be suppressed β but also not the final wordKey Truth: "Every punch is planned β because you've got greatness inside of you."
Key Verse: Romans 4:20 β Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.
If you're drowning in silence, questioning your next move, or on the verge of walking away from what God called you to β this episode is for you.

What does it actually look like to trust God when you have no roadmap, no guaranteed outcome, and no idea how it's all going to come together?
In this episode of the Mind Bully Podcast, Norense records live from a hotel room in New York City β one-way ticket, no lease, no plan β and breaks down what real faith costs and what it produces when you stop waiting for certainty before you move.
This isn't a theory episode. This is faith in action, documented in real time.
What You'll Learn:
Why faith never looks familiar β and why that's the whole pointHow to trust God's process during major life transitions even when the people closest to you don't understandThe difference between striving in your own strength and yielding to God's directionWhy low self-esteem and self-doubt are spiritual issues β not just mental onesHow to walk by faith and not by your feelings, your senses, or your circumstancesWhy God doesn't always show you the full plan β and what He's actually looking for from youIf you're in a season of transition, questioning your next move, or wrestling with fear and doubt β this episode is for you.
Hebrews 11:1 β Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

It's 5:46am in Dallas. The lens is broken. The Uber is coming. And Norense is hitting record anyway.
Because that's what faith looks like in real life β not perfectly packaged, not polished, not waiting until everything is in order. It's moving when God says move, even when the details aren't clear, even when the doubt is loud, and even when you're running on three hours of sleep catching a flight to New York with a vision you can't fully articulate yet.
In this episode, Norense gets raw about transition β what it feels like to shift directions after a life built around achievement, how to stop living for external validation, and what it actually means to walk by faith and not by sight when the finish line keeps moving.
In this episode:
Why living by doubt, fear, and anxiety means you are spiritually malfunctioning β and what God designed you for insteadHow chasing accolades and validation from naysayers can quietly hijack your real purposeWhat to do when God gives you a tug in a direction you can't fully explain yetWhy your content, your work, and your service are evergreen β even when it feels like no one is watchingThe power of protected time with God β and how it becomes the clearest compass in a season of transitionHow to move forward in faith without needing to have every answer firstWhy you don't have to understand the full assignment to take the first stepKey Truth: "The just shall live by faith." If your dominant thoughts are doubt β God says that's a malfunction. You were built for more.
Key Verse: Philippians 3:13-14 β Forgetting those things which are behind, I press forward toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

In this raw, unscripted episode, Norense unpacks what overwhelm is really trying to do to you β and why the small moments of frustration, the micro-triggers, the "what's the point" feelings are not random. They are targeted. The enemy knows that if he can render you emotionally powerless, your gift never reaches the marketplace.
Using the story of Joshua possessing the Promised Land, Norense breaks down the spiritual and practical framework for pushing through β even when you don't feel ready, even when the plan falls apart, and even when the shame of your past is still buried in the ground.
In this episode:
Why overwhelm is a spiritual strategy against your gift β not just a bad dayThe difference between emotions, feelings, and moods β and how to stop letting external triggers write your storyWhat it means to "possess the land" and why God can promise it but you still have to take itThe Joshua and Gibeonite story β and what happens when you make major decisions without consulting God firstWhy secret sin keeps you from stepping into your authority β and how to come cleanThe danger of living in a Christian bubble instead of being the light you were called to beHow to drop the seed in every marketplace β even when you don't control the soilKey Truth: Before the foundation of the world, the lamb was slain. He already saw your worst day β and He still made a way.
