However, Jones obtained a pectoral injury in the leadup and will be out for 8 months. Thus, this card will instead see what was supposed to be the co-main event, Jiri Prochazka taking on Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight (205 pound) championship become the main event, and Sergei Pavlovich take on Tom Aspinall for the interim heavyweight championship in the co-main event.
Aidan also recaps UFC 294, which went down in Abu Dhabi last month (October) and ended disappointingly, with Alexander 'the great' Volkanovski getting TKO'd in the first round of his rematch with Islam Makhachev. Not only that but he recaps Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou, which finally went down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last month and shocked the MMA and combat sports world in general.
