Lily yarns about her journey to become a Law student at ANU and how they have helped shape the person she is today with an overwhelming amount of support from Aboriginal elders within ANU. Lily and I yarn about her interpretations of the Constitution in modern day society and how so - called Australia is still being colonised. Lily yarns about the amount of strength that is held by our people and how Lily has hopes to make a change and help our people in the justice system. In Lily's words, with the First peoples of the continent being amongst the most incarcerated in the world (proportionally), the more of our people that aren't stuck in the justice system ,the more of our people you have out there that know how to care for country.

We delve into Danâs own personal experiences and how that has shaped his passion for working in the inclusion space. Micheal (ALLY) yarns about the pride they have as VACCA now has a Rainbow tick!!! This week we are joined by Yorta Yorta/ Bunurong women Corina, Owner of Amber Days the Label. AmberDays is a GOTS - Certified, ethical and sustainable clothes brand aimed to empower women and share our culture in a way that is kind to country. Corina is a super driven, and passionate mother who began the brand as a way of making change in different spaces. Corina talks about life as a single mother, whilst creating a label that represents her values - the highs, and the lows. Corina yarns about how she aims to create social change, as well as change within the fashion industry to be better and kinder to our country. it was so humbling for myself to chat to the face behind the label who really is authentic in every way. This week on Mob Talk we are joined by TV Presenter and Kamilaroi man Matty Mills. Matty yarns about his journey to being in the job of his dreams, whilst acknowledging it hasn't been an easy path. Matty opens up about his childhood in the system, going in and out of foster care, being split from his brothers, to then be reunited with his dad, whom he thought had passed.
Matty shares his story with such openness and strength, showing forgiveness and love to his family members, understanding that his parents also had their own trauma.
Matty yarns about defying the odds and backing yourself in, and how this has helped him navigate his way throughout his older years.

My sis Brooke is a proud Ballardong/Whadjuk Noogar women from WA, who I was privileged enough to work with on a project in Mparntwe. Brooke yarns about her award-winning short doco â Aboriginal warrior â which Brooke wrote and produced. Along with Aboriginal warrior, Brooke is working on the video game âBroken Headsâ and her own web series called Yokai about a first Nations Cosplayer, which stems from Brookes love for Cosplay.

This week on MobTalk Talia is joined by Key facilitator of Heaps Decent Adam Bozzettoo. Heaps Decent is a non-for profit organisation which empowers young people to express their creativity through music and multi-media. Adam and Talia yarn about the importance of empowering young people through the music and arts. We often use music in our own way to connect with how we feel. Heaps decent gives young people from all walks of life a tool to help express what lies within them. Listen in to hear some incredible stories of young people and there musical talents, all the way from juvenile centres to pre-school kids.
Everyone has a story, the sooner we start investing in our young people, the more change we will see in the world. Adam yarns about seeing Kobie Dee as a young fella in Redfern grow into the strong Aboriginal musician he is today, with the help of youth centres and works to guide and support him.

PGZ is known for his love in the music scene having done mixes with Bizarro, Triple J - Mix Up, Butter Sessions and has just released his Apple Music session, which is truly a good time if you love the techno scene. He is also part of a BLK DUO Bad Kind of Good throwing a new party here in Naarm called BLK ICE which centres Black DJs and experimental performers and artists, while also programming at Rising Festival in the Music Program team.

This week Ben Long jumps on MobTalk to yarn about his journey from being a young Anmatyerre/muk muk maranungu man kicking the footy and fishing with cousins to then fast forward years later, being flown to Melbourne Grammar on a sports scholarship only to then be drafted to the Saints. With Cyril Rioli being Long's older cousin, it was only natural for Ben to be a mad hawks supporter; however Ben now discusses his love for the Saints, proudly bleeding the colours of red, white and black. Long discusses the importance the club holds on mental health and how the saints have often looked to Long in regards to trips up north back on country. Although Long is deadly on the field, he discusses his life off the football field where his love for fishing and family come into play.

Bad Apples Music artist Alice Skye jumps on Mob Talk to yarn with Talia about her new single Party Tricks. Alice talks about her experience as a young artist and what music means to her. We yarn about the songwriting process and the imposter syndrome Alice battles with when she steps on stage amongst some of the greats, such as Paul Kelly and Midnight Oil. Alice and Talia laugh about early teenage years and how it has inspired her music writing process.
