The ongoing conflict between the Israeli government and Hamas is a very challenging discussion under any circumstances; Add the latest violent attacks on both sides to the (already heated) discussion, and you have a recipe for an impossible conversation steeped in emotional trauma. We made it to the third and final night of my ceremony with Mother Ayahuasca. This night started off like the other two ceremonies, at first... until it got worse. Much worse. My second night in ceremony with Ayahuasca was very different from night one. Since I resisted a lot of the experience on my first night, I decided to completely let go during my second ceremony. I wanted to let myself experience whatever I needed to experience in order to heal. I was ready to see whatever Mother Ayahuasca wanted me to see. My first night with Mother Ayahuasca was a disappointing experience, at first. I had to sit in all kinds of ugly feelings: disappointment, self-hate, jealousy, resentment, ALL of the negative emotions. Naturally, I thought about quitting several times throughout the ceremony. However, I soon realized that this plant medicine journey was unlike anything else I'd ever experienced. I'm hopeful that the lessons I learned will be able to help you in your own healing journey.
