Such an honor to be joined by Leah McGhee, a sales legend who also experienced being laid off while out on maternity leave (and 6 weeks postpartum!). Although we could have chatted for hours, these 30 minutes focus on Leah's sales career (which is full of success), motherhood journey, and her layoff experience. Tune in today!

I'm very aware I've been lucky enough to work for tech companies in Corporate America during my two pregnancies. I'm grateful for having the ability to take time off while getting paid. That said, I had NO idea how to go about it and made a handful of (work) mistakes during my first pregnancy leading to many tears, missed opportunities, and more. As always, this is my personal experience & point of view, being shared not to blame anyone but instead to empower others!

**Trigger Warning** This episode covers suicide, if you are someone you know are struggling with depression, anxiety, and even thoughts are harming yourself/themself, please reach out to someone for help. The Suicide & Crisis Lifeline can be reached by dialing 988.
After Stephen "tWitch" Boss passed last week due to suicide I realized I wanted/needed to share my story. This episode covers my particular few & opinions on the tough but necessary topic, as well as my personal experience with a suicidal thought postpartum. Life is tough, no matter who you are and YES life is tougher for certain people. If you are feeling down, burnt out, etc and want someone to talk to, I'm here. Always.
I look forward to more conversations around this topic so we can get rid of the stigma and start truly focusing on mental health & suicide prevention.

In this episode I have the absolute pleasure of speaking with Suzana Oliveira, Brazil's Wonder Woman in my eyes. Su and I took on management roles at Twilio the same day and have, thankfully, become good friends. During our casual conversation we touch on what attracted her to the tech world, ups & downs of management, and what she's looking forward to about being a MOM! I hope you enjoy our chat AND if you speak Portuguese be sure to check out Suzana's podcast now streaming on Spotify and Youtube.

Friday's Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade stirred up past trauma from being sexually assaulted and I decided that it was time to share my story so others can understand sex assault, sadly, can happen to anyone, at anytime. From my point of view, so much needs to change in this country. For example, victims shouldn't be afraid of coming forward due to judgement from others especially law enforcement. Also, women should have the right to decide how they handle their own bodies especially when it comes to pregnancy as bringing a life into this (crazy) world is a very serious matter.
Finally I hope listeners take away from this that we should do our best to better understand other's situation before jumping to judgement. We need to start thinking of others and how our actions can impact the greater good. Also, get out and VOTE!

In this shorter episode I dive into the challenges I had/have with my Latina/Mexican identity and how during bath time recently I wondered if Manny realized that his mommy (me) had different colored skin than he did. This episode sparked some great conversation with my father, who was in town while I recorded it, and I look forward to feedback from the listeners on whether or not this topic sparked thoughts, they could relate, etc. Happy listening!

Well I finally did it! I've been putting this off for some time now out of fear for failing, being judge, anything and everything. But it's time to finally share why I started this video podcast adventure with those who listen in (or watch) and I look forward to growing through out this journey. Thanks in advance for joining me!
