This episode comes straight from the heartābecause sometimes, life doesnāt just challenge us, it knocks the wind right out of our lungs. Motherhood is full of hard thingsāsome we expect (hello, birth and sleepless nights), and some that blindside us, leaving us breathless and broken. Maybe youāve faced something life-alteringāa diagnosis, a loss, a divorceāor maybe itās quieter than that: the slow burn of exhaustion, the ache of feeling unseen.
I share the story of someone whose world was torn apart in an instantāan unstoppable athlete, a real-life hero, who wasnāt supposed to make it, but did. After 40+ surgeries, five months in the hospital, and learning to live in a body he barely recognized.
His story is a fierce reminder: we donāt choose what breaks us, but we do get to choose how we rise from it.
