On the latest episode of the NCS Podcast we interviewed Julie White singer of the Long Island Band Pound For Pound. Julie lived in Buffalo for a bit before returning to Long Island a few years ago . Julie had played in such bands as Selective Aggression and the Elite while she was in Buffalo. We talked to Julie about her hardcore history and what shes been up top lately. On the latest episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack Podcast we have a Coretalk!!! We did a Sick Of It All song draft. What we mean by a draft is that we got a group of friends together and picked our favorite SOIA songs. Once someone picks a song that song is off the table. In addition to picking our favorite songs and talking about why we love them we talked about cool SOIA experiences that we have had. We were joined by Jeffers, Shanzig and Lone Star Larry. On the latest episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack Podcast Chris and Mark interviewed Liam @ Quinn from the band Autoignition. We had Liam on before but we brought him back with his brother Quinn to talk about what Autoignition has going on these days. Auto just put out a new release that we highly recommend called "Against The World" the record should have a physical release on Static Era records. Auto has done quite a bit of touring as well so check them out if they come to your area.

On the lastest episode of the Nickel City Soundtrack podcast we talked to Joe Affe of the band Maximum Penalty. MP is one of Chris' favorite bands so we had to have one of the bands founders on. We talked about the formation of Maximum Pentalty and alot of the lore surrounding them. We talked about the younger generation embracing them with Flatspot putting out music for them and End It covering them on their latest record. We talked to Jare about her beginning and coming to buffalo and her work with the Lavender Room. We also talked to Jare about her band All Main Points. We learned a lot about all of the great work she is doing to help queer youth and the disenfranchised in general and with us of straight Gen Xers it was cool to be educated on what she is doing and the ideas behind it. Was definitely an informative episode. We recommend supporting the Lavender room in any way that you can.
