How to cope with the kids leaving home! - Not Another Couples Podcast Episode 2 Wow, how crazy is it that weāve gone from childbirth to having a 19-year-old at uni?! Seriously, where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday we were up all night with a newborn, and now theyāre off living their own life. Time really does fly! Parenting has definitely been an adventure, hasnāt it? Mark and I have our different ways of doing things, which sometimes makes things interesting, to say the least. Iāve always been a bit more organised, while Markās approach is [the opposite], so weāve had our fair share of āmomentsā figuring it out along the way. Then thereās the stuff that freaks us outāthose little phobias that pop up once you become a parent. I swear, I never used to worry about half the things I do now. Whether itās them getting hurt, catching something, or even just the general anxiety of letting go, those fears always seem to linger! And speaking of Mark, Iāll never forget his proposal. It was so him. He had this unique plan, and of course, something hilarious happenedābecause what could possibly go smoothly, right? Itās one of those stories we still laugh about today. Looking back, itās wild to see how far weāve come. From the chaos of raising a little one to now sending them off to uniā¦ what a journey itās been!
