  • It's Friday afternoon and that means Oilersnation Radio is back with a fresh episode of the podcast full of Oilers talk to carry you through the weekend. This week, we recapped Game 5 from Edmonton vs. L.A., looked ahead at what's to come in Round 2, and welcomed former Oiler Brendan Perlini to the show to talk playoffs, positivity, and whatever else is going on in his life.

Kicking off the Friday podcast, we started ONR with a delicious debate about who was the Oilers' MVP and unsung hero during the first round of the playoffs before diving into a recap from Game 5, where the Oilers wrapped up Round 1 and sent the Kings to book tee times. We also touched on the players we thought played well and which guys we think need to step in Round 2.

From there, we welcome Brendan Perlini to the podcast to talk a little bit about his time in Edmonton, the Lamborghini Perlini nickname, what it meant to him to play in Arizona now that they're leaving for Utah, and what he's got planned for his upcoming YouTube channel.

Finally, we wrapped up the podcast with a look around the NHL, including the Bruins' inability to close out Leafs and tonight's Game 6 between the Canucks/Preds before wrapping up with another round of Hot and Cold performers.

  • Oilersnation Radio, your favourite twice-weekly podcast, is back with a fresh episode to spice up your week and talk all. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates. This week, we discussed the Oilers' two big wins in L.A., how fantastic Stuart Skinner has been, and looked around the early days of the NHL playoffs.

Kicking off this week's show, the guys started with a delicious debate about which Oiler has been the most surprising through the first four games of the playoffs so far. Whether it's Vinny Desharnais' progression on the blue line or Dylan Holloway playing incredibly well, there are plenty of players stepping up for the post-season, and it's been fun to watch the depth players have some success.

Changing gears, we looked around the NHL at what's going on in the other playoff series. From the Leafs and Jets being on the brink of elimination to a potential matchup between the Oilers and Kings, it's been an electric first round so far. Needless to say, there were plenty of storylines to cover, and the results from tonight's matchups will start to set the table for what happens in round two.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 5 against the Kings. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a lot of fun to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • We're in Los Angeles to cover the Oilers' matchup with the Kings, and that meant pushing the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio back a day so that we could discuss the first game at Crypto.com Arena.

Kicking off the Game 3 recap edition of the podcast, we started with a delicious debate about whether or not we think the Oilers will be able to finish the Kings off in five games. As you'll hear, the boys are drinking the Kool-Aid and feel like last night's dominant win is only the beginning. That said, the job is not done, and while we believe the series won't last long, the players can't have that same attitude.

Changing gears, we spent a little bit of time talking about all of the amazing Oilers fans who came down to Los Angeles for the games and how it's always incredible to see how well this fanbase travels. There are no better people on earth than fans of the Edmonton Oilers, and it was incredible to celebrate such a dominant win together.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Saturday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings. After a big playoff win, this

hungover episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • Oilersnation Radio, your go-to twice-weekly podcast, is back with a brand new episode to spice up your week. Get ready for some riveting Oilers discussions and debates. This week, we discussed the Oilers' Game 1 win, how annoying the LA Kings are, and looked around the early days of the NHL playoffs.

To kick off the Tuesday podcast, we had a delicious debate about what was the most impressive aspect of that Game 1 win. From the way they opened the scoring quickly to the way they ignored the Kings' nonsense after the whistles, the Oilers were so much better than LA that the score almost didn't do the game justice.

We also talked about the Kings' being outmatched in terms of skill and how the only way they can compete is to try and steer the game into the ditch. Every chance they had, LA was sticking/punching/hacking Edmonton's players to try and get them off their game, but the good news is that our boys navigated the challenge quite well.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's Game 2 against the Kings. • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is set, edited, and ready to break down all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we discussed the first round matchup against LA, the Arizona Coyotes' last game, and reviewed our pre-season predictions to see how close we got.

Kicking off the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio, the boys looked at the Oilers' first-round matchup against the Kings and whether we're concerned about a third consecutive dance with LA. Seeing as Edmonton's first round opponent took until the very last game of the season. Oilers fans had plenty of opinions on who they wanted to face, but it took until the very last minute for LA to end up as that team.

Changing gears, we looked at the Coyotes' last game from Arizona, which happened on Wednesday and whether the boys were sad to see them go. For a few of the fellas, it's about time that the Coyotes get out of the desert, given that the sideshow has gone on for over two decades. The other guys, however, were a little bit disappointed that the story was finally ending after so many battles to keep them there.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of Game 1 against the Los Angeles Kings. • Oilersnation Radio is your favourite twice-weekly podcast, and that makes today a great day because we've got a fresh episode of the show wrapped up and ready to get you through the week.

Kicking off the Tuesday podcast, we started the podcast with a delicious debate about whether or not we would play Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl over the last couple of games, given that there's not a whole lot left to play for in the regular season. Seeing as the Oilers are unlikely to kick off their playoff run until Monday, would you want the Dynamic Duo on the shelf for that much time?

Changing gears, we looked at Warren Foegele's time with the Oilers and whether or not this run will come to an end after he put up a hell of a season in his contract year. After putting up career bests in goals, assists, and points, is it realistic for Foegele to stick around Edmonton, or is it more likely that he chases the bag somewhere else? While Baggedmilk thinks Foegele is as good as gone, Rick thinks McLovin will be back with the Oilers when all is said and done.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's matchup with the Coyotes. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is all set and ready to carry you into the weekend.

Kicking off the Friday podcast, we got started with a delicious debate about why the Oilers are better suited to win the Stanley Cup this year over last year. From the increased levels of experience to the way they had to fight through adversity early in the season to their improved forward depth, there are plenty of reasons to believe the Oilers can legitimately make a go of it.

Changing gears, we looked ahead at tonight's matchup versus the Arizona Coyotes only to have the conversation derailed in minutes because of the Utah relocation news. After Frank Seravalli broke the news that the Coyotes will be moving to Salt Lake City for next season, it's almost a relief that this neverending story is finally reaching a conclusion.

Turning our attention to what's left on the Oilers' schedule, we looked at this week's games against the Coyotes and Canucks and debated whether or not it makes sense for McDavid to sit out the whole weekend. Seeing as the Oilers still have the chance to win the Pacific Division, picking up wins is incredibly important, but do the points matter more than Connor being healthy for the playoffs?

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of the games against the Coyotes and Canucks. As always, the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • The guys are back with a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio on a beautiful Tuesday in Edmonton. They kicked off today's pod by looking back at the Oilers two big wins on the weekend. The team smoked the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and followed it up with a very impressive victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night, which prompted Tyler to ask the crew what the most impressive part of that six period stretch was. From there, they gave some love to a few individual players with Who Delivered for DoorDash. That eventually led to some talk about the news that they got today from Oilers practice. Connor McDavid is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and is questionable for tomorrow's game vs the Vegas Golden Knights. Should the team rest #97? Or is tomorrow nights game big enough that the Captain should play even if he's not at 100%? They debated it.

In the back half of the show, they played a little 3v3 centred around tomorrow's game against Vegas and Woz swung by with 'Can you clear that up for me?' where he asked just how important winning the division title actually is.

  • There's nothing better than spending your Friday afternoon with a fresh dose of Oilersnation Radio, the podcast dedicated to giving you a weekly hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we're discussing Wednesday's loss to the Stars, new line combinations, the Oilers' record vs. playoff teams, and more.

Kicking off the podcast, we started with a delicious debate about Wednesday's loss in Dallas and whether we should be concerned about the way things went against a legitimate Stanley Cup favourite. Seeing as losing 5-0 is a tough pill to swallow at the best of times, but having the boys look so disorganized against a team as good as Dallas was endlessly frustrating.

Changing gears, we looked at the new line combinations that Kris Knoblauch put down at practice today and wondered how the bottom line would fare with McDavid and Draisaitl together on the first line. With the nuclear deterrent now available at the top of the order, it will be hugely important for the rest of the roster to find ways to contribute.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a handful of Ask the Idiots questions submitted by listeners, some betting talk for Bet99, and another round of Hot and Cold Performers before winding things down with some score predictions ahead of tonight's matchup with the Colorado Avalanche.

  • Oilersnation Radio is your favourite twice-weekly podcast, and that makes today a great day because we've got a fresh episode of the show wrapped up and ready to get you through the week.

Kicking off the Tuesday podcast, we started the podcast with a very strange conversation about Liam's fashion sense after he confessed that he doesn't like wearing t-shirts. Coupled with a Nation Gear staff gift question, Liam's wardrobe turned into a fantastic opening segment that no one saw coming.

Getting back to the actual podcast, we got going with a delicious debate about what is the greatest X-factor for the Oilers down the stretch. Whether it's defencemen stepping up or players finding ways to score when it matters most, there are plenty of potential options to choose from. As you'll hear, there were plenty of interesting choices that ranged across the board.

We also spent a few minutes talking about goaltending after the Oilers signed Olivier Rodrique to a one-year contract extension. The guys also discussed former friend, Mikko Koskinen, announcing his retirement upon the completion of the Swiss season. In hindsight, were we too hard on Mikko?

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's matchup with the Jets. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • Just because we're heading into the long weekend doesn't mean that we're not offering up our usual dose of Friday afternoon Oilers talk. This week, we're recapping the Oilers' big win over LA, Connor McDavid's Art Ross Trophy hunt, depth scoring, and more.

Kicking off the podcast, we started with a delicious debate about how Kris Knoblauch should dole out playing time down the stretch. Even though there's still plenty to play for right now, that may not necessarily be the case after the Oilers clinch a playoff spot. Would it make sense to sit some of the stars for a game or two if the team can lock in a second-place finish?

We also looked back at last night's win over the Los Angeles Kings and how that performance was one of the Oilers' best defensive efforts that we've seen in quite some time. Despite the Kings playing the trap, it was the Oilers that really didn't give up much of anything. Outside of their lone goal in the third period, the Kings struggled to get much done despite firing a ton of shots from the perimeter.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a handful of Ask the Idiots questions submitted by listeners, some betting talk for Bet99, and another round of Hot and Cold Performers before winding things down with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's matchup with the Anaheim Ducks.

  • It's the Tuesday after the NHL trade deadline, and that means we've got a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set and ready to discuss all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we're talking about Evander Kane being out against the Senators, Zach Hyman's 50th goal, and offered a quick preview for tonight's game against the Jets.

Kicking off the podcast, we started with a delicious debate about Evander Kane's maintenance day in Ottawa and whether or not it was actually a day to recover or if there was more to it than that. If you read into Kane's pre-game comments ahead of Tuesday's game against the Jets, it certainly seems like there was more to the story than a sitting out for lack of goal-scoring.

Changing gears, we looked at Zach Hyman cashing in his 50th goal against the Ottawa Senators and how that goal spawned all kinds of interesting reactions from other fanbases. If you dig into the Internet deep enough, you can find all kinds of hilarious reactions to Hyman's 50-goal season, and we broke down some of the best of the bunch.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me with our boy Woz before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tonight's matchup with the Jets. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all hope you had just as much fun listening as we did making it.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and the Oilers are coming off a pair of big wins, which meant there was plenty to talk about on the latest episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we're looking at the Oilers' current win streak, Mattias Ekholm's big night, and a whole lot more.

Kicking off the new episode of ONR, the podcast started with a delicious debate about whether or not Troy Stecher has done enough to become an everyday player over someone like Ceci or Desharnais. In last night's game against Buffalo, Stecher played very well while Ceci struggled a little bit, and that has Oilers fans wondering if it's time for a switch on defensive pairings.

Continuing with our coverage of last night's win, we keyed in on a handful of fantastic performances that contributed to the win. From Mattias Ekholm's three-point night to Connor McDavid's four-point night to Darnell Nurse's game winner, there were plenty of fantastic stories from last night's win that were worth celebrating.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a handful of Ask the Idiots questions, some betting talk for Bet99, and another round of Hot and Cold Performers before winding things down with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

  • It's the Tuesday after the NHL trade deadline, and that means we've got a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set and ready to discuss all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we're talking about Vinny Desharnais' hand injury, Saturday's loss vs. the Avalanche, and we learned why Liam thinks we should stop talking about the trade deadline.

Starting off the podcast, we started the show with a delicious debate about which team we would prefer the Oilers to face in round one. Given that three or four teams could realistically line up as the Oilers' opponents in round one, the answers we gave for who we'd like to see them face in round one were quite varied.

Looking at what's happening on the ice, we dissected Saturday's loss to the Colorado Avalanche and spoke about whether or not Edmonton was outclassed by the opposition. Some folks on social media wondered whether or not that loss meant the Oilers couldn't keep up with the Avs in a seven-game series, but none of us were buying that logic in the slightest.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me with Woz before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions ahead of tonight's matchup with the Habs. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all of hope you had just as much fun listening to this nonsense.

  • There's nothing better than a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to cap off your week, am I right? Of course, I am. This week, we're talking about Connor Brown's first goal of the season, tomorrow's matchup versus the Colorado Avalanche, and a whole lot more.

To kick off the podcast, we had a delicious debate about how Adam Henrique has performed through his first four games with the Edmonton Oilers. Given that he has only a single assist in his first few games, some Oilers fans are getting impatient with his lack of production, but is it fair to be concerned so early?

Changing gears, we looked back at Wednesday's game against the Washington Capitals and how it was a huge night for a few reasons, including Connor Brown's first goal of the season. Even though it was only his first marker of the season, the way Oilers fans reacted to his goal was a fantastic moment at Rogers Place. It goes without saying that the win over the Caps could be the greatest mid-March game any of the fellas had ever experienced.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a handful of Ask the Idiots questions, some betting talk for Bet99, and another round of Hot and Cold Performers before winding things down with some score predictions ahead of tomorrow's matchup with the Colorado Avalanche.

  • It's the Tuesday after the NHL trade deadline, and that means we've got a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set and ready to make sense of all things Edmonton Oilers. This week, we're talking about an uneven weekend on the ice, first impressions of Edmonton's new players, and offering our takes on everything else that's going on around the NHL.

Starting off the podcast, we didn't just discuss, but we engaged in a heated debate about the three most formidable threats to the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference. With the West boasting some of the league's strongest teams, the journey to the Stanley Cup will be a fierce battle for the Oilers. We delved into which potential opponents would pose the most daunting challenges to overcome.

Changing gears, we looked back at the Oilers' last couple of games and picked out our favourite elements/players from them. Given that the Oilers were both up and down this past weekend, we all offered very different answers as to who or what was the most impressive aspect of those games. We then played another round of Dan's 3v3 drafting game, and while the rules were initially confusing, we had an absolute blast with this round of the game.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up for Me with Woz before wrapping up the podcast with some score predictions from a light week in the schedule. As always, the Tuesday episode of Oilersnation Radio was a blast to record, and we all of hope you had just as much fun listening to the chaos.

  • It's NHL Trade Deadline Day, and that means there is a lot to talk about even though the Edmonton Oilers didn't do much.

Kicking off the Friday episode of ONR, we got started with a delicious debate about the trade deadline and, specifically, whether the Oilers did enough to keep up with the rest of the Western Conference. Given that the Golden Knights and Jets made some big adds before the deadline, it's fair to wonder if Adam Henrique, Sam Carrick, and Troy Stecher are enough to put the Oilers over the hump.

We then looked around the NHL at what everyone else got done at the deadline, and we picked some winners and losers from the league's annual swap and shop. From LA not picking up a goaltender to some of the sellers maintaining players that could have brought in assets, there are a handful of teams that had a poor day overall. On the flip side, we also gave some love to Vegas, Carolina, and Nashville for putting in the work and improving their clubs for a stretch drive.

Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, we broke down the last handful of days in Oilers land, including a big win over the Boston Bruins and a tough loss to Columbus on Thursday. Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio with a handful of Ask the Idiots questions, some betting talk for Bet99, and another round of Hot and Cold Performers.

  • Tuesday afternoon means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is here and ready to massage your eardrums with all of the delicious information you've been hoping for regarding our beloved Edmonton Oilers.

Kicking off this week's podcast, we jumped in with a debate about whether or not the Oilers missed out on the Chris Tanev trade given that the Flames seemingly refused a better offer from Edmonton over what they got from the Dallas Stars. Seeing as the Oilers allegedly offered their first round pick along with Cody Ceci to get Chris Tanev, we discussed whether or not we'd have been happy if that deal went through.

From there, we looked back at what was a successful weekend for the Oilers as they won both of their games and moved themselves into second place in the Pacific Division. Seeing as they were 20 points behind the Golden Knights back on December 20th, it's mind blowing to see how much ground the Oilers have gained in just over two months.

Lastly, we wrapped up the Tuesday episode of ONR with another round of Can You Clear That Up For Me to help teach Woz about the NHL. We then wrapped up the podcast with another round of Dan's 3v3 game ahead of tonight's matchup with the Bruins. Who drafted the best team of players that played for both clubs? You'll have to listen to find out.

  • It's Friday afternoon, and that means a fresh episode of ONR is set and ready to massage your ear holes. This week, we're looking ahead at the back-to-back weekend for the Oilers, who might be available at the trade deadline, and a whole lot more.

Kicking off the podcast, Baggedmilk got started with a quick thank you to everyone who has been reading and listening to his content over the last decade after discovering that March 1st is his 10-year anniversary at the company. As you'll hear, the road hasn't always been smooth within the company, but the reward for sticking it through has been immense.

Getting back to the Oilers, the guys looked ahead to the trade deadline and whether or not the team should be feeling any pressure to make a move, even though the available crop of players isn't necessarily the best. Seeing as the trade options are limited, does that increase the pressure on Ken Holland to make something happen? Are we worrying about this too much?

Lastly, we wrapped up this week's episode of ONR with a look at what's to come this weekend, as the Oilers have a pair of very important games against the Kraken and Penguins. Seeing as the Pacific Division is incredibly tight right now, the Oilers need to find a way to keep picking up wins, and that fact becomes all the more important when you have a back-to-back weekend like this one.

  • It's Tuesday afternoon, and that means it's time for a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to break down everything that's happening with the Edmonton Oilers.

Kicking off the Tuesday episode of ONR, we got the podcast started with a delicious debate about the Oilers' deadline plans and whether or not our preferences for what Ken Holland does have changed, given the Oilers' recent struggles. Would the team be better off to get defensive depth over trying to find additional scoring up front?

Changing gears, we looked back at the last handful of games and discussed how important it was that the Oilers found a way to beat the Kings last night at Rogers Place to halt their three-game losing streak. While it wasn't necessarily the perfect game, you have to appreciate the way the Oilers kept grinding until eventually wrestling the lead away in the third period to complete the four-point swing.

Next up, we played Dan's ONR 3v3 game as a preview to tomorrow's clash with the St. Louis Blues where we all had to pick the best possible starting lineup we could with players that have played on both clubs. What we learned from this exercise is that none of us are all that familiar with the St. Louis Blues' history, which made this draft even more entertaining than initially expected.
