  • The pressure to conform and fit in with those around us is both immense and constant.

Because we’re social beings, we want to be part of the world. We want to belong. And the fear of being rejected or outcast can lead to us being controlled by what others may think, feel and expect from us.

So, in response to all this, do you ever feel that you are not being yourself when you are around others? Do find yourself holding back parts of yourself?

Do you even find yourself making decisions or following paths in life that you might take differently if you weren’t so worried how others might react?

In the final episode of Season 3 of the Origineurs podcast, we show you why it’s so important to stop simply fitting in and instead stand out from the crowd. We also share six great ideas for doing this in your original way.

We’ll be back with more great episodes on 10th September.

    Here are the highlights:

(01:54) Why refusing to fit in can lead to greater success

  • Have you ever been in a situation where you felt invisible?

This feeling can often come from not only feeling unseen but unheard.

Have you had people talk over you, ignore you, or minimise what you say?

Or, have their eyes glazed over, or glanced over your shoulder, or down to their phones while you’ve been talking?

Or have you simply got the impression that what you’re saying is just not sinking in, like they just don’t care?

In this episode of the Origineurs podcast, we’re going to be sharing some great tips for getting people to care about what you say so you can be truly heard.

    Here are the highlights:

    (01:26) Why your voice matters

  • The words you use matter.

Especially the ones you lean on regularly.

They don’t just convey what you mean, they convey who you are.

But, did you know, there are some simple words that many people use every day that can cause unintended problems. Using them could compromise your reputation, make you seem less capable than you are, less credible, and less trustworthy.

And, worse, every time you use them, without realising it, these words can affect the belief you have in yourself too.

In this episode of the Origineurs podcast, we’re going to reveal what these words are so you can ditch them from your vocabulary and shine with greatness.

  • There’s something magic about witnessing true talent. Like seeing a shooting star or stumbling across a rare gem. It’s special.
