In the final chapter of our conversation with Rosie from Gloriavale, we delve into the reconciling of her faith outside of the abusive cult. Rosie details her intense emotional struggles, including daily panic attacks, and the liberating feeling of finally being free, a year after leaving Gloriavale. Rosie and Christa discuss the problematic teachings of Gloriavale, such as the stigmatization of grace and liberty, the unrealistic expectation of sinlessness, and the controversial belief that having fewer children is equivalent to killing future children.
The episode concludes with a message from Rosie to the New Zealand Christian community, a call to prayer and a look into how Rosie is currently living her faith outside of Sunday.

Are hot cross buns, and chocolate easter eggs, a pagan distraction? Or - are they a harmless tradition and something that adds to our Christian, Easter festivities? We’ll find out on this episode of the OOSP.
For some reason, many of the traditions surrounding Christian holidays are labelled as being pagan in origin. Whether it’s Christmas trees at Christmas time (check out our Christmas series for a look at that one) or hot cross buns and easter eggs at Easter time - everything is slapped with the pagan label. Is there any substance or foundation for these claims?

Welcome back to the podcast. Today I'm going to share with you 3 unique family-friendly ways that you can celebrate Easter.
I’ve always felt that Easter for Christians should be the biggest celebration on the Christian calendar - even bigger than Christmas. Like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15 if Christ has not been raised then our faith is in vain, we are still in our sins and we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has been raised, our faith is not in vain, if we have repented and trusted in Christ our sins have been forgiven and that is why Christians celebrate Easter.
So in my home, with my family, I’ve aimed to make Easter an extra special and memorable time of year. Don’t leave it for your church’s Easter service, don’t leave up to the Sunday school, let’s celebrate/remember what Christ did for us, at Easter, outside of Sunday.
I would love to know your traditions and the ways that you celebrate Easter too - so please let me know in the comments!
