In my most recent interview, I was just joined by Dan Griffis, an industry veteran and the President of Global Partnerships at Oak View Group (OVG).
OVG's mission is to be a positive disruption to business as usual in the sports and live entertainment industry. Global Partnerships specifically thrives on connecting world-class sport and entertainment properties with world-class brands. The division has sold over $1B in venue naming rights over the past year spanning Seattle's New Climate Pledge Arena in partnership with Amazon and New York's UBS Arena, among others.
Dan and I chat about OVG's structure and capabilities, his experience working with Amazon to build Climate Pledge Arena, the recent trend of larger stadium districts, greater community access, and its impact on potential innovations in sponsorship. We end off with some advice concerning the sports & entertainment that you won't want to miss.
