When I was in the Philippines and would attend a Catholic church, I remember there were many saints that we had to honor and mention in our prayers. Holy Week was big event because houses near the church would represent a statue of a saint for the Holy Week procession night. During the procession, we would enjoy a display of statues of the Apostle dressed in fine clothing being carried or pulled by people. Though there was an atmosphere of religiosity at the event, the main thing I enjoyed was saying hi to my high school friends – that included teasing them.
Inside the Catholic church, even though there was the statue of the crucified Jesus, part of our doctrine was the worship inclusion of the 12 Apostles and Mary the mother of Jesus. I remember growing up believing that the handkerchief that I wiped on St. Peter’s statue would bring comfort on my grandmother’s aching body. I also remember that there were many requirements to be forgiven of sins. Jesus had the title, “the Savior,” yet we also had to confess our sins to the priest in a confession booth, pray our rosary walking on our knees in the church, and pray in the name of the St. Peter and Mary, the mother of Jesus. I even saw people flagellating themselves during Holy Week. Angels were also revered because we saw them as protector – kind of like a bodyguard.
On this message episode, I'd to share why I found Jesus than being in the former traditions of my catholic faith.

As I was studying the book of Hebrews, it reminded me of the time when 12 Coptic Christians and one Ghanic Christian kidnapped in the city of Sirte in Libya. Through chilling videos, the terrorists displayed their domination and instilled fear not only to the people of Libya, but also to the people around the world. On February 15, 2015, the terrorists marched the Christians martyrs on the beaches of Libya to be beheaded. Minutes before the beheading, the martyrs were given a chance to denounce Jesus. While kneeling waiting for their final hours, they chose the better One, Jesus and life eternal with Him. On today's episode, I want to share why life with is better than the passing pleasures of sin.

Have you even asked the question, “Where is the true burial site of Jesus?” Honesty, whenever I think about the question, I would get confused because there would be a lot of information to consider that would pop up in my head. Therefore, I would never really bother entertaining the question. However, I would feel disingenuous while believing that Jesus rose from the dead, I would, at the same, still a little unsure about the place where He rose. Therefore, I had to dive a little deeper into research about it. Therefore, on today’s episode, I hope to share my research and to encourage about it. For the truth of the resurrected Savior is our hope in this life and the life to come. A pastor once said, “the greatest tragedy that could ever happen in a man’s life is a life without hope.”

How can we know that the resurrection of Jesus is true? As Christians, our difference from other religion that the One that we follow has risen from the dead. It is not a myth nor a legend and it can be proven historically. When the Apostles had seen the risen Christ, they became bold with their faith. The teachings of these uneducated men were the foundations of the early Christian church and is now being studied by scholars. Because Christ rose on the third day, I, too, am hopeful and confident that one day, I will have an eternal resurrected body. For the promise of the resurrection stood, so as our future promise of heaven with Christ will. And this assurance is our motivation in this life to live a life like citizens of heaven already while here on earth, causing us to make wise use of time, money and energy. I know all us have asked, “how to we know that the resurrection is true? On top of that how do we know that the NT is even reliable where the the truth of resurrection is written?I would like to engage with arguments against NT reliability and provide answers that supports the NT its sufficiency and trustworthiness. For we if we can answers in the Scriptures, and teachings in agreement with the Scriptures it sharpens, not only mentally, but also spiritually. They bolster our faith in our walk with God.

But unbelievers also have the similar rejection towards evil; but what is their basis for moral oughts?

Temptations are not only about immoral sin, but also the tempation to doubt God and trust more on ourselves is also one of Satan’s way to seduce us.
