"The more we can claim and own our wins, the more weâre able to create even more success. Itâs about shifting our mindset and letting ourselves celebrate, even the small ones." â Amy Ahlers
If youâre ready to step into 2025 with a clear mind and an open heart, let me introduce you to one of the most transformative exercises I do every year: The Year-End Completion Ritual.
I discovered this process over 10 years ago from the incredible Amy Ahlers, and it completely changed how I approach the end of the year. Back in 2019, I had the honor of interviewing Amy about this ritual, and Iâve been practicing it ever sinceâalways on the solstice.
Why the solstice? For me, itâs a powerful time to pause, reflect, and create space for whatâs next. This ritual shifts my mindset and helps me feel grounded as I ease into the slow, intentional planning for the year aheadâa process that unfolds over the next six weeks.
Hereâs a step-by-step guide to try it for yourself.
Step 1: Take Inventory of the Past YearStart by looking back on the year thatâs wrapping up. Use your calendar or journal to jog your memory and make two lists:
Wins, Accomplishments, and Completions: What are you proud of? What did you complete or accomplish? Even surviving a tough season can count as a win.Losses, Failures, and Incompletions: What didnât go as planned? What felt heavy or unfinished? Some things might show up in both lists, and thatâs okay. For example, a challenging life transition might feel like both a loss and an accomplishment.
Step 2: Celebrate Your WinsNow, take those wins and go deeper. Ask yourself:
What strengths or skills did I develop?Who have I become because of these experiences? This step is all about honoring your growth. As women, weâre often so quick to skip over our successes. But this is your chance to pause, reflect, and truly celebrate yourself.
Step 3: Process Losses and FailuresThis part can feel heavy, but itâs so freeing. Amy introduced me to the Perspective Scale, a tool to process emotions and reframe our mindset.
Hereâs how it works:
Rate each loss or failure on a scale from 1 (despair) to 11 (joy).Focus on moving up the scale one step at a time. If youâre at a 3 (anger), what thought or action could bring you to a 4 (worry)? The goal isnât to force positivityâitâs to create authentic shifts in perspective.
Step 4: Identify Your LessonsReflect on what this year taught you. Write down 3-5 lessons in a way that feels empowering.
Instead of: âI never trust my gut instinct and it gets me in trouble,â try:
âWhen I trust my gut instinct, I make better decisions.â
This small shift reframes your lesson as an opportunity for growth rather than self-criticism.
Step 5: Complete the YearThe final step is a simple but powerful ritual to close out the year:
I release⊠(What are you letting go of?)I celebrate⊠(What are you proud of?)I will remember⊠(What lessons will guide you into the new year?)Write it down, read it out loud, and feel the weight of unfinished business lift off your shoulders.
Why This Ritual MattersEvery year, I walk into this process feeling a little overwhelmed and walk out with a sense of clarity, peace, and readiness for whatâs next.
This isnât about rushing to set resolutions or forcing yourself into the ânew year, new youâ mindset by January 1. Itâs about honoring where youâve been so you can step into the future with intention.

âEverything that you want is just outside of your comfort zone.â
âJen Mazer
Weâre all dreaming up our lives ⊠and those dreams can be reality. Iâm so excited to have Jen Mazer, the Queen of Manifesting, back in conversation about dreaming and manifesting.
When we believe what we see in our dreams, itâs more of a direct line to it happening. Instead of âtrying,â we act from a place of trust and expectation. Itâs time to stop pushing away the ideas that come and trusting them.
We need to get out of our comfort zone and get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Everything we need is outside of our comfort zone â and if we step out of that zone, we can get what we want.
We talk about:
Overcoming resistance and trusting yourself so that you can trust the universe to support youGratitude practices and paying attention to synchronicitiesMaking time to focus on your big dream3 questions to ask: What do I want? How will I feel when I have that thing that I want? How can I feel that way now? Every woman in FLOW365 has a unique story.
Some are building businesses, others are caregiving for elders. Some are raising littles, while others are launching young adults into the world.
But one thing they all have in common? Theyâre committed to prioritizing their wellness and well-being while creating lives of meaning.
In our latest podcast episode, I sat down with four incredible FLOW365ersâKelly, Eve, Susan, and Kiyomiâto share their journeys, what theyâre balancing, and how theyâve transformed through FLOW365.
Hereâs a glimpse of their stories:
Kelly moved across the country while launching her first group program, majorly decluttering her life, and navigating the joys and challenges of single motherhood with a tween.Eve shifted from chaos to calm, transitioning from teaching to launching her own book and course, supported by FLOWâs planning and accountability system.Susan left corporate life to build her own business, embracing a more feminine, aligned approach to planning while rediscovering her creativity.Kiyomi is rebalancing her life after a decade of caregiving and stepping fully into her identity as an artist, creating works that bring peace and beauty to the world. Each of these women shows whatâs possible when you have the tools, structure, and community to follow through on what matters most.
If youâre curious about how FLOW365 could help you balance business, life, and wellness, this conversation is a must-listen.

RECOGNIZE THE DEMANDS OF THIS SEASON. This doesnât mean throwing up our hands and saying, I guess I canât do __ right now. It means looking at what is important right now and what it calls for. It might mean not letting go of something, but letting go of what you think it looks like.BEGIN TO CONNECT WITH THE LAND. You can do this wherever you are. Start by noticing the land around you. Choose a place, maybe a tree. Spend some time being in and with that space. Put your feet on the earth. Touch, lie on, touch the tree. Open to the energetics of the space.ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR INTUITIVE SEVERANCE. In time you will want to heal your intuitive severance to open yourself up to your intuition and magic. Start by acknowledging that your intuition was severed at some point, but itâs there.

Instead of letting the seasonâs busyness take over, letâs talk about how to stay focused, aligned, and energized as you pursue your most important goals. With the unique timing of both a new month and a New Moon on November 1st, thereâs no better moment to set clear intentions and take action.

Spirituality and wellness arenât extras â but as women they often become that way. What happens when we give them a place at the table? We do that here at PlanSimple, and Iâm so excited to talk with Jennifer Urezzio, about weaving spirituality into business.
Iâm really comfortable with the word soul. Itâs one I use a lot, but not everyone does. Hereâs how Jennifer is using it this episode: the soul is everything that this energetic being has ever experienced.
