James is joined by Clayton on the Gameweek Review Podcast to discuss the events of the midweek of Gameweek 27 where somehow, those who gambled on Cole Palmer with the captaincy were not rewarded... but it didn't matter that much anyway.
So Palmer again in 28 with an insipid Leicester next? Maybe not with Mo Salah facing Southampton, or could The Reds rotate with the fixture falling in between their Champions League games with PSG?
All the games covered including Arsenal drawing blanks again at Forest and Man City seeing off Tottenham in a game of two halves at White Hart Lane where Erling Haaland registered the only goal.
Is there a case to take Salah on with the big Norweigian from Gameweek 29 onwards? Perhaps so, and there is plenty of discussion around the Blank of Gameweek 29 and how to manage players subject to chosen strategy, with key assets from the likes of City, Bournemouth, Palace and Wolves all covered in detail.

Ahead of today's GW27 Deadline James is joined on Clash of the Correspondents by Manchester United fan Gary Robinson and Ipswich Town fan Paul Gaught-Allen to discuss current matters at their clubs ahead of Wednesday's meeting at Old Trafford.
Can Ipswich yet pull off an escape from the relegation zone? They find themselves five points adrift of Wolves and with no one else within sight.
Ipswich's plight means Manchester United can feel safe. Yes, really it has looked that bad at times recently. Ruben Amorim still hasn't won more points than Erik Ten Hag in this campaign and there are several cost cutting measures taking place behind the scenes and PSR is likely to restrict them in the transfer market in the summer.
So where do United go from here? Investing in someone like Ipswich's Liam Delap doesn't even seem like a realistic prospect currently.
And should there be interest in these two clubs for Fantasy managers? Ipswich have Delap and some enablers that could prove useful, Whilst United head into this encounter and also face fellow strugglers Leicester in the Blank of Gameweek 29. But can they be trusted?

Suj and James review all the football from Gameweek 26 with Liverpool now huge favourites for the title, as victory at Manchester City followed Arsenal's defeat to West Ham, and Wolves too a huge step to safety with victory at ten man Bournemouth. Whilst there was FPL controversy before the football even began with FPL missing their own deadline, meaning they've now missed more deadlines this season than Suj!
There was more success for many who chased bonus with the Assistant Manager Chip, there's discussion on what next for those who still have the Chip active and this midweek's captaincy dilemma of Cole Palmer, who has hapless Southampton, or Mo Salah, who now has more points in away games than any other player has in all games, following yet another double digit return.
There's coverage of transfer plans with decisions made and differentials targeted, plus analysis of all the games as usual, including Brentford cruising to victory at Leicester, healing Tottenham winning again and the 7 goal thriller between Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Fulham fan Lewis James and Crystal Palace fan Ruaidhri McLoughlin-Dowd to discuss the latest at their clubs and some very important FPL assets ahead of Saturday's meeting at Craven Cottage.
And by assets that doesn't just mean the players as Eagles boss Oliver Glasner is likely to be popular for Assistant Manager bonus point hunters and for those yet to deploy the Chip again he'll no doubt attract interest around GW32 when Palace double.
But he's not been the best performing manager over the last couple of weeks as that honour goes to Saturday's opponent Marco Silva, as Fulham produced outstanding victories against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest that truly has them in contention for European qualification.
Plus, those key FPL assets covered including Antonee Robinson, Kenny Tete's longer-term threat to Timothy Castagne; forwards Raul Jimenez and Jean-Phillipe Mateta, Dean Henderson, Ebe Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Daniel Munoz might not be the only Palace wing-back of interest in the weeks to come.

On today's Ask James' stream those on the Assistant Manager Chip are looking to move from Arne Slot or Unai Emery, but should they bother?
There's interest in Matheus Cunha and Bournemouth midfielders as expected and there's lot more chat on strategy including understanding 'when we will know' key dates for what's ahead and how those withthe majority of chips left may want to play what remains.
And that includes considering an unusual strategy for when to Wuildcard, and it's one under genuine consideration for James, who is very short on chips.

Suj and James revisit a Podcast from 4 weeks ago deliberating which week would be best to Free Hit from the potential Blank Gameweeks of 29 and 34.
There's discussion on considering the template, including the importance of Erling Haaland, and the fixtures before after GW29 when making a decision on whether to activate the Free Hit or run through the Gameweek, and that decision will need to be made without the picture for the Doubles of 33 and the Blanks of 34.
There's a look at potential Free Hit Drafts for 29, 33 and 34 and James reiterates the script for the current projections and has warnings about how the weeks around the FA Cup Semi Finals may not be exactly what we think and how that can have big implications for Wildcarders looking to Bench Boost. And the consequence of the Newcastle v Crystal Palace arrangement for GW32 might not be as obvious for GW33 as it appears now.

On the Gameweek 25 Review Podcast Suj and James discuss all the key FPL relevant info from the weekend which featured disappointment for many owning Aston Villa assets as they were held by ten man Ipswich, Manchester City's demolition of Newcastle featured a hat-trick from Omar Marmoush and Arsenal found someone who could play up front in an unlikely source as sub Mikel Merino.
There's also reaction to Tottenham's victory against Manchester United in the battle of the underachievers, there was another limp display from Chelsea at Brighton which included a stunning goal for the hosts by Kaoru Mitoma, and Wolves made Liverpool sweat at Anfield.
Plus, there's discussion on solutions next for those on the Assistant Manager Chip and some of the consequences from the announcement of Newcastle and Crystal Palace being arranged for Gameweek 32, James contemplates switching Salah to Haaland in GW29, but will the Egyptian King still get the armband when the two clubs meet in GW26?

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Leicester City fan Sam Martin and Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard to discuss the altest at their clubs - and they include some major concerns - ahead of Saturday's meeting at The King Power Stadium.
It looks like it's down to a 4 team race to survive at the bottom of the table and hopes Leicester may have had of a resurgence after victory at Tottenham were dampen by a chastening 4-0 defeat at Everton. Do they have what it takes to survive?
And can Arsenal chase down Liverpool's lead at the top? The task looks tougher now with Kai Havertz confirmed likely to miss the rest of the season and Arsenal's attack now looks stretched to the limit for availability.
Plus there's FPL discussion with Arsenal's Ethna Nwaneri likely to catch attention at a bottom price of 4.5, could the Gunners defence suffer as a consequence of their injury problems and there is one Leicester asset likely to catch the attention of some Fantasy managers for Gameweek 26.

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle and Newcastle fan Simon Bibby to discuss the latest at their clubs and the FPL assets within them ahead of Saturday's meeting at The Etihad.
City assets will be popular once we get to Blank Gameweek 29 and they have great fixtures then until the end of the season. There's discussion on Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Oscar Marmoush, Josko Gavrdiol and others.
While for Newcastle the opposite is true, a tough run of fixtures begins now and they will almost certainly blank in Gameweek 29. Could Alexander Isak be a sacrifice on route? Could those that keep even consider benching this week!? There's also chat on Lewis Hall and with Anthony Gordon, yellow flagged, should be sold by Fantasy managers. And he's not the only Newcastle player flagged.
Plus, thoughts on City's Champions League tie with Real Madrid, if the reigning League Champions can rediscover their best and Newcastle have a Carabao Cup Final to look forward to against Liverpool.

On the second installment of Suj and James' Chip Strategy Podcasts there is analysis on how the outlook is projected to look moving forward for Blank and Double Gameweeeks following the weekend's FA Cup ties. With discussion on options and opportunities for usage of all the chips between now and the end of the season.
The Pod begins with discussion on the FA Cup weekend with Tottenham and Ange Postecoglu now perhaps teetering on the brink after defeat at Aston Villa, but the big shock came at Home Park as Plymouth Argyle defeated a heavily rotated Liverpool - and by consequence the landscape for FPL managers has changed again.
There's discussion on activating a Chip now, with Aston Villa and Liverpool about to Double, the importance of mainpulating Gameweeks 33 and 34 with many 33 doublers then likely to blank in 34 - but has it become easier to manage following Liverpool's elimination from the Cup!?
Plus, the impact that the FA Cup and Europa League finals could still have, why GW36 could have doubles before GW37 blanks, but may also not have any doubles at all. There's a warning about Wildcarding following Blank Gameweek 29, the crazy potentail Assistant Manager big bonus opportunity available now, and consideration is given to preparing for the unexepected, particulary as the upcoming doubles in GW25 caught many by surprise.

Clayton and James have an overview discussion of the January Transfer Window with an analysis of and details on the newest additions to the Premier League.
Manchester City and Aston Villa have been particularly busy but have they done enough to remedy concerns within the squad?
There's an intro to some of the players listeners may be less familiar with such as new Manchester United Patrick Dorgu, debate on whether movers like Ben Chilwell will get into the Crystal Palace line-up and discussion on some of the clubs who were quieter who may not have expected to be, such as Arsenal. And James gives his thoughts on Tottenham's new additions including the exciting Mathys Tel

A very different Clash of the Correspondents this week, as rather than discussing an upcoming fixture James is joined by Wolves fan Bradley Parker and Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson to discuss their clubs following Wolves' 2-0 victory against Villa at Molineux at the weekend. It was a big win for Wolves, particularly following defeats earlier in the day for Ipswich and Leicester; but for Villa it was another disappointing result after a Champions League games which dents their hopes of trying to qualify again foe Europe's top competition. There's also Fantasy discussion with Wolves looking at a brilliant fixture swing in the near future en route to Blank Gameweek 29 and Villa could have a Double Gameweek in the forthcoming Gameweek 25. There's discussion on defensive assets and the likes of Matheus Cunha, Morean Rogers and Ollie Watkins. And there's also coverage of a busy transfer window for both clubs which included Villa making some high profile signings such as Marcus Rashford and Wolves strengthening their backline.Follow Bradley on Twitter/x: https://x.com/parker_bradleyFollow Lee on Twitter/x: https://x.com/Lee_Jackson_92Tomorrow on on Planet FPL: The Clayton & James ShowToday on Patreon: Carabao Cup Semi Finals Quiz (IT+) & Slack Stories on Chelsea 2-1 West HamFor the full Planet FPL schedule this week, including our offering on Patreon view this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/content-schedule-120868390Want to become a member of our FPL community and support the Podcast? Suj and James review the weekend of Double Gameweek 24 that rewarded many that invested in doublers from Everton and Liverpool, which included those activating the Assistant Manager Chip on Arne Slot or David Moyes, but also those who held their nerve and activated the Triple Captaincy on Mohamed Salah who scored both in The Reds 2-0 victory at Bournemouth.
Friday's announcement of at least one Double in Gameweek 25 has changed the landscape for FPL managers again and there's discussion on each of the 6 teams who could Double in 26 and the players that may well be sought under different permutations.
But with the transfer window closing today and important Cup fixtures to be played before Gameweek 25 now is a good time for FPL managers to take stock and seek further information before acting.
As usual all the games are reviewed, featuring Nottingham Forest's brilliant 7-0 victory against Brighton which included a Chris Wood hat-trick, Arsenal's humbling of Manchester City by five goals to one, and Tottenham not only won a game, but kept a clean sheet in the process too at Brentford.
