As our party wakes up to shouting...they need to find a way to escape the invaded town...FULL RECAP:Last we met, our party landed their balloon on the sands of Das Kihoj, land of the elephant folk, the Loxodon. Rushing unconscious Eve into the library for help, they unexpectedly reunited with their long lost friend, Ebb, who encouraged them to lie about who they were to each other. Pretending to be a troupe of writers and actors researching a new play, they met Eyta, a young Loxodon who had been helping Ebb search for what he needed over the past few days. But they sensed that Eyta had more than a mere working relationship to EbbâŚThrough books, they discovered more about Shekinester and the community of Yuan-ti who transformed Eve. And when they rushed upstairs to share that information, they were told by Doctor Jana to retrieve ingredients for a concoction that may help her. Thibault, Eyta, and Vibrant headed toward the fields to grab yellow root, where Thibault met the first worshiper of Taro he had ever met.Maple-Jean and Ebb rushed to the beach for some seaweed, where they discussed privately about the intricacies of Ebbâs situation.After retrieving what they needed and returning to the infirmary, Eve awoke with a start. She came face to face with her new serpentine body. After some support and calming from her party, she heard a noise. Click, click, click. And from behind a curtain, a figure appeared in snakeskin clothing that only Eve seemed to see. Eve shouted at her to leave her alone, and after a short exchange, she did.After tensions settled, the party made their way to the beach and for the first time in 2 years, they sat together, fully together, and began to make a plan. Ebb revealed he had heard tell of a way to revive Mother Essi, which he believes will put an end to the fighting on Sanctuary. But in order to do that, they needed more research, hidden away in the Collection on the second floor of the library. They decided tomorrow they would find what they needed. But in the middle of the night Eyta carried out her plan. She broke into The Collection, finding a strange book about âThe Sanctuary Songâ and more information on Taro, Thibaults goddess. She slid both of these things underneath Ebbâs door and took off into the night in a balloon.Later that night, the party hears a noise, yelling from outside in the courtyard. Reuniting with their long lost friend, the party must now reckon with who they are to each other as they attempt to revive Eve
RECAP:Last we met, our adventurers faced off against a cult of transformed Yuan-ti snake folk in an enormous underground lair. They watched Eve transform before their eyes, growing green scaly skin as her outer flesh flaked off. They managed to kill all but one Yuan-ti, Asana, who begged them to keep her daughter safe during the fight. They ignored her request, forcing her to cut her losses and escape through the mouth of an enormous snake built into the building. After checking on Eve-- still unconscious, but alive-- they followed Asanaâs path, leading back up onto the Sapphire Sand floor while the cavern collapsed around them. After searching the grounds for Asana, who was nowhere to be seen, they boarded their balloon and continued their journey the city of Das Kihoj on to the tip of Ter Koth, watching the sun start to fall as they floated north. Immediately upon landing they were greeted by Oola, who, seeing the state of Eve, rushed them inside the large circular building to get her to help. Last we met, our adventurers:
Heard a scream. Vibrant lost the use of her limbs. Thibault discovered a secret hatch. They went underground. Maple-Jean did a backflip. They chose the path of Rana, the path of intelligence. It frustrated them. Maple-Jean eventually cracked it. They went deeper. They saw their greatest insecurities manifest hatching out of eggs. They completely explored a maze. They found tufts of Eveâs hair on their way. And made their way even further down into the ground. Down, into a sticky pool of blood.-Saw shrines to âshedding the past.âFacing a long hallway, they see several things in the next room. First, a giant snake, large as a building, looming. Secondly, a large Yuanti, their hands outstretched. The party delves underground to discover the mysteries that lie beneath the sand...
RECAP: Last we met, our party made their way out of Port Koth and onto the Saffron Sands, where they saw guards from Mount Koth drifting over the sands on curious wind-powered contraptions. Asana, the Yuan-ti snake woman they had been traveling with departed, following a snake as it slithered over the dunes and stealing one of the guards' sand boards as they entered into a small hut in the sand. In the hut, they overheard the feline guards looking for a small grung who had passed through the area, and the Yuan-ti behind the counter told them the truth: He had taken a balloon to Das Kihoj, the land of the Loxodon to the north. When the guards left, the party attempted to convince him to give them a balloon for free, which didnât quite work. Instead, they put him to sleep, broke his glass case of swords, moved a basket inside, decided not to tie him up, and then pretended like nothing happened- iconic. After successfully getting him on their side and settling on a rental price of one stone per day, they got into their balloon and drifted off, promising they would bring it back in two days' time.On their journey, Thibault saw visions in the sand, the Sanctuary Saints, the three fox goddesses that created this world, laughing and playing with something- something that seemed eerily similar to the item they were carrying in their suitcase, on its way to be delivered to Das Kihoj.In the sky, they met with a strange and effervescent merchant, Bubu, a tortle from Bo selling wares out of his balloon. Vibrant attempted to make a deal- royalty rights to her new hit single for his wares, but he seemed set on earning everstone. After revealing they were carrying Centrapoint technology with them, he warned them to be careful or get rid of it. Soon after the balloons parted, they got that chance. Attacked by flying sand birds from below, their balloon tore and fell, landing in the sand close to a Yuan-ti encampment. There, they met Teti, Asanaâs daughter, who had choice words to say about her mother. Vibrant enjoyed a cup of tea from the campâs infirmary and Thibault sold a Centraband in exchange for heavy armor. Meanwhile, Teti offered to show Eve the large tent in campâŚwhere she came face to face with a dark truth. The party hopes to fly across the Saffron Sands in search for their missing friend. But what they find there might be more than they were hoping for.
RECAP: Yesterday night our party boarded the Blissful Bunny, an illegal drug ship off the coast of Port Koth. They met its' ragtag crew - a Yuanti named Asana, Harengon triplets, a bass-playing satyr, and, of course, the leader of the Blissful Bunny and the man they came to see - an excitable harengon named Johnny Flops. Securing an appointment with Johnny took time, and they filled it by performing in the Entertainment Hall and witnessing mediocre impressions by a Tabaxi who Vibrant noticed had a suspicious weapon at his side during the performance. Later, in Johnny's office they made a deal. In exchange for information on their missing friend Ebb, they would help Johnny by delivering a mysterious package to someone named Oola in Das Kihoj, the land of the loxodon. Johnny told them that recently Ebb had snuck onto the Blissful Bunny in the middle of the night with demands to meet with Johnny immediately, persuading him with the intrigue of having his brother Jonah Flopsâ necklace in hand. He said Jonah was in trouble, and he needed to get to Das Kihoj as fast as possible. He needed a ship. But Johnny told Ebb the same thing he told the party- that travel by ship was a death wish, it brings you too close to the southern tip of Ter Rana. Better to go by balloon, over the Saffron Sands, a mysterious sprawling desert to the North. Johnny offered to write both Ebb and the party notes to a friend named Scarda who owned a balloon business at Port Kothâs main gate. During the meeting, a shout erupted from the main deck, BOATS! BOATS! And the Blissful Bunny went silent, as several smaller vessels sailed dangerously close to the invisible Bunny. The figures on the boats wore uniforms, half red half brown. Scouting ships from Mount Koth, a fierce-looking Leonin at the front of one of them. After the coast was clear, everyone went to bed below deck. In the middle of the night, however, Eve awoke to serpentine eyes staring at her from her doorway. She stormed out of the room and confronted the culprit: Asana, who claimed she reminded her of her daughter Teti and asked âDoes she speak to you?â Morning came and, by the request of Johnny Flops, Asana escorted the party across the water, through town, and to the front gate of Port Koth where, to the partyâs surprise, the guards were not checking identification paperwork. As a mysterious gangplank welcomes the party aboard an invisible ship in the middle of the sea, they come face to face with the figure who may have the answers they seek...RECAP: Last we met, our party found themselves on the mysterious island of Sanctuary on a rooftop overlooking a port town full of animal-folk- but they werenât alone. Snapping Branch, a tabaxi, divulged why they had been brought here. Ebb, the friend that the party had been looking for for the past two years, has been living here, and is on the run with an important artifact. They need the party to bring him back. She explained Sanctuaryâs history as an island built by three animal-kin goddesses from the ethereal plane, Mother Essi, Rana, and Koth, each who took a section of the island. But when it came time to leave, Rana and Koth betrayed their mother, staying and attempting to claim their mothersâ island in the center- the Burrow, for themselves. While most residents of the Burrow scattered, a loyal group called the Alliance, dedicated to the practices of Mother Essi stayed, protecting the Kanjara, an artifact that allows Everstone to grow abundant in itâs presence. Ebb, fearing that keeping the Kanjara in the Burrow was endangering itâs residents more than helping them, stole the Kanjara and fled.Snap gave the party a map, on-trend clothing, and headed to unite with the last member of the search party, an old acquaintance, a centaur named Maple Jean Riverstride. Despite stumbling upon a fight between her and her new beau Maple-Jean was convinced to join and snap sent them out with one lead:Rumor has it the last known person to speak with Ebb was someone named Johnny Flops.The party gathered clues about Johnny Flops, smoked some Stonedust, went to a line dancing club, walked across water, and eventually found their way to a small dingey in the middle of the water. After giving the secret password âbunny Who? Bunny, you! I want a piece of Bunny Too.â a mysterious gangplank appeared out of thin air, landing on the dingy, and a Yuan-ti, snake woman slithered out on it. As our party orients themselves from being transported to the mysterious island of Sanctuary....they are about to find out exactly what they are in for...RECAP: Thibault Von Fig, a Loxodon obsessed with root veggies, Vibrant Jewel, a tabaxi trying to become a star in the big city, and Eve Merrick, a paladin of Mystra hoping to impress her goddess, finally got their break. For 2 years they have searched for the missing grung frog-folk Ebb, a friend, a family member, and a lover to different members of the party. Yesterday, their search took a turn, when a mysterious note told them to Win the Centrapoint Games, a competition held in Watereeep funded by the technology company Centrapoint Mechanics. They did do so, flying above the city to the Font of Knowledge and competing in the Elite Prayer Triples- securing them an invitation to the Victorâs Ball. There, they explored the centrapoint facilities, met a strange harengon a rabbit folk who handed Vibrant a mysterious green stone, and discovered a receipt for a delivery, to the Argenium, TerRana. As the founder of Centrapoint, a human named Anton Sepharin, stepped onto a platform to make a speech, a giant cake was wheeled out onto the showroom floor. Suddenly, the lights turned off. And with a passionate scream of âLibertas Bestia!â an ambush began. Leading it, a figure who looked almost exactly like their missing friend, who revealed themselves to be Ebbâs brother. While fighting off Centrapoint guards, the grung and the harengon manage to get the party set up on one of the Centrapoint devices, which unexpectedly transported them to a strange new worldâŚHere, facing out to a sunlit plaza, they see animal-folk arriving on ships at docks, and a town made up of animal-kin of all kinds.
