Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âWith Us."
Key Verse:
Isaiah 7:.10-17 ESV: âAgain the Lord spoke to Ahaz: âAsk a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.â But Ahaz said, âI will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test.â And he said, âHear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. He shall eat curds and honey when he knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the boy knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land whose two kings you dread will be deserted. The Lord will bring upon you and upon your people and upon your fatherâs house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judahâthe king of Assyria!ââSermon Topics: Godâs Presence

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âBurden of the Blessing."
Key Verse:
Luke 1.26-38 ESV: âIn the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virginâs name was Mary. And he came to her and said, âGreetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!â But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, âDo not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.â And Mary said to the angel, âHow will this be, since I am a virgin?â And the angel answered her, âThe Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holyâthe Son of God. And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.â And Mary said, âBehold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.â And the angel departed from her.âSermon Topics: Burden, Blessing, Work

Special guest speaker Leah Rios brings this weekâs message, âPeace on Earth."
Key Verses:
Philippians 4.6-8 NKJV: âBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthyâmeditate on these things.âJohn 16.33 NKJV: âThese things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.ââJohn 14.27 NKJV: âPeace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.âIsaiah 26.3 NKJV: âYou will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.âSermon Topics: Peace, Worry

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âThe Word I Need."
Key Verse:
John 1.1-14 ESV: âIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.âMark 4.35-41 ESV: âOn that day, when evening had come, he said to them, âLet us go across to the other side.â And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, âTeacher, do you not care that we are perishing?â And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, âPeace! Be still!â And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, âWhy are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?â And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, âWho then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?ââSermon Topics: Word of God, Faith

ShemaKey Verses:
Deuteronomy 8.7-18 ESV: âFor the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing out in the valleys and hills, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey, a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. âTake care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today, lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end. Beware lest you say in your heart, âMy power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.â You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.âPsalm 78.1-8 ESV: âGive ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.âSermon Topics: Spiritual Blessing, Gratitude

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âGiving that Costs."
Key Verses:
2 Samuel 24:18-25 NLT: âThat day Gad came to David and said to him, âGo up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.â So David went up to do what the Lord had commanded him. When Araunah saw the king and his men coming toward him, he came and bowed before the king with his face to the ground. âWhy have you come, my Lord the king?â Araunah asked. David replied, âI have come to buy your threshing floor and to build an altar to the Lord there, so that he will stop the plague.â âTake it, my Lord the king, and use it as you wish,â Araunah said to David. âHere are oxen for the burnt offering, and you can use the threshing boards and ox yokes for wood to build a fire on the altar. I will give it all to you, Your Majesty, and may the Lord your God accept your sacrifice.â But the king replied to Araunah, âNo, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing.â So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen. David built an altar there to the Lord and sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings. And the Lord answered his prayer for the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.âSermon Topics: Giving, Sacrifice

Key Verse:
2 Kings 2.1-15 ESV: âNow when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. And Elijah said to Elisha, âPlease stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.â But Elisha said, âAs the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.â So they went down to Bethel. And the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, âDo you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?â And he said, âYes, I know it; keep quiet.â Elijah said to him, âElisha, please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.â But he said, âAs the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.â So they came to Jericho. The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him, âDo you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?â And he answered, âYes, I know it; keep quiet.â Then Elijah said to him, âPlease stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.â But he said, âAs the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.â So the two of them went on. Fifty men of the sons of the prophets also went and stood at some distance from them, as they both were standing by the Jordan. Then Elijah took his cloak and rolled it up and struck the water, and the water was parted to the one side and to the other, till the two of them could go over on dry ground. When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, âAsk what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.â And Elisha said, âPlease let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.â And he said, âYou have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if you do not see me, it shall not be so.â And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it and he cried, âMy father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!â And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. And he took up the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and struck the water, saying, âWhere is the Lord, the God of Elijah?â And when he had struck the water, the water was parted to the one side and to the other, and Elisha went over. Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said, âThe spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.â And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.âSermon Topics: Holiness, Anointing, Sacrifice

Key Verses:
1 Samuel 28.6 NLT: âHe asked the Lord what he should do, but the Lord refused to answer him, either by dreams or by sacred lots or by the prophets.â2 Chronicles 7.:13-14 ESV: âWhen I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.â2 Samuel 12.15-18 NLT: âAfter Nathan returned to his home, the Lord sent a deadly illness to the child of David and Uriahâs wife. David begged God to spare the child. He went without food and lay all night on the bare ground. The elders of his household pleaded with him to get up and eat with them, but he refused. Then on the seventh day the child died. Davidâs advisers were afraid to tell him. âHe wouldnât listen to reason while the child was ill,â they said. âWhat drastic thing will he do when we tell him the child is dead?ââ2 Corinthians 12.7-9 NLT: âeven though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, âMy grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.â So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.âSermon Topics: Prayer

Key Verses:
Revelation 3:.14-19 ESV: ââAnd to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: âThe words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of Godâs creation. ââI know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.âIsaiah 57.15 ESV: âFor thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: âI dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.âSermon Topics: Revival, Zeal

Key Verse:
Luke 4.1-13 NIV: âJesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, âIf you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.â Jesus answered, âIt is written: âMan shall not live on bread alone.ââ The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, âI will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.â Jesus answered, âIt is written: âWorship the Lord your God and serve him only.ââ The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. âIf you are the Son of God,â he said, âthrow yourself down from here. For it is written: â âHe will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.ââ Jesus answered, âIt is said: âDo not put the Lord your God to the test.ââ When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.âGenesis 3.1-6NLT: âThe serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, âDid God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?â âOf course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,â the woman replied. âItâs only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, âYou must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.ââ âYou wonât die!â the serpent replied to the woman. âGod knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.â The woman was convinced.âSermon Topics: Temptation, Scripture, Preparation

Key Verse:
Romans 6.12-13 ESV: âLet not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.â1 John 2.1 ESV: âMy little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.âPhilippians 4.8 ESV: âFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.âMatthew 26:36-41 ESV: âThen Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, âSit here, while I go over there and pray.â And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, âMy soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.â And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, âMy Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.â And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, âSo, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.ââSermon Topics: Sin, Redemption

Key Verse:
1 Samuel 18:1-9 ESV: âAs soon as he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day and would not let him return to his fatherâs house. Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt. And David went out and was successful wherever Saul sent him, so that Saul set him over the men of war. And this was good in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saulâs servants. As they were coming home, when David returned from striking down the Philistine, the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with songs of joy, and with musical instruments. And the women sang to one another as they celebrated, âSaul has struck down his thousands, and David his ten thousands.â And Saul was very angry, and this saying displeased him. He said, âThey have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed thousands, and what more can he have but the kingdom?â And Saul eyed David from that day on.âEphesians⏠â6âŹ:â12⏠âESVâŹâŹ: âFor we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.âSermon Topics: Influence, Humility, Maturity

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âPower to Build."
Key Verses:
1 Corinthians 14.1â5, 12â19, 26 ESV: âPursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church. Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my mind is unfruitful. What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also. Otherwise, if you give thanks with your spirit, how can anyone in the position of an outsider say âAmenâ to your thanksgiving when he does not know what you are saying? For you may be giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not being built up. I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue. What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.â1 Corinthians 12.7 ESV: âTo each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.âActs 2:.7-8 ESV: âAnd they were amazed and astonished, saying, âAre not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?âSermon Topics: Spiritual Gifts, Purpose, Unity

Key Verse:
Matthew 25.14-30 ESV: ââFor it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his masterâs money. Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, âMaster, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.â His master said to him, âWell done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.â And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, âMaster, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.â His master said to him, âWell done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.â He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, âMaster, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.â But his master answered him, âYou wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.ââSermon Topics: Faithfulness, Stewardship, Trust

NextGen Youth Pastor RenĂ© Sandoval brings this weekâs message, âSalt and Light."
Matthew 5:13-16 NASB1995: ââYou are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. âYou are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.âSermon Topics: Influence, Witness

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âIn Awe of God."
Key Verse:
1 Corinthians 2.1-16 NLT: âWhen I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didnât use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you Godâs secret plan. For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. I came to you in weaknessâtimid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of Godâhis plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, âNo eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.â But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us Godâs deep secrets. No one can know a personâs thoughts except that personâs own spirit, and no one can know Godâs thoughts except Godâs own Spirit. And we have received Godâs Spirit (not the worldâs spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spiritâs words to explain spiritual truths. But people who arenât spiritual canât receive these truths from Godâs Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they canât understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For, âWho can know the Lordâs thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?â But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.âSermon Topics: Awe, Authenticity, Mindset

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âAlone."
Key Verse:
1 Kings 19:3-4 NLT: âElijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there. Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. âI have had enough, Lord,â he said. âTake my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.ââ1 Kings 19:9-18 NLT: âThere he came to a cave, where he spent the night. But the Lord said to him, âWhat are you doing here, Elijah?â Elijah replied, âI have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.â âGo out and stand before me on the mountain,â the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And a voice said, âWhat are you doing here, Elijah?â He replied again, âI have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.â Then the Lord told him, âGo back the same way you came, and travel to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive there, anoint Hazael to be king of Aram. Then anoint Jehu grandson of Nimshi to be king of Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from the town of Abel-meholah to replace you as my prophet. Anyone who escapes from Hazael will be killed by Jehu, and those who escape Jehu will be killed by Elisha! Yet I will preserve 7,000 others in Israel who have never bowed down to Baal or kissed him!ââSermon Topics: Loneliness, Community, Support

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âGod is Love."
Key Verses:
John 3.16-17 ESV: ââFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.âPsalm 22.1-5 ESV: âMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.â1 John 4.9-10 ESV: âIn this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.âRomans 5.8 ESV: âbut God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.âRomans 8.38-39 ESV: âFor I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.â Sermon Topics: Love, Silence, Trouble, ShameIf you enjoyed the podcast, please subscribe and share it with your friends on social media. Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this weekâs message, âDivided We Stand."
Key Verses:
Matthew 10:34-39 ESV: ââDo not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a personâs enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.â
Matthew 12:25 ESV: âKnowing their thoughts, he said to them, âEvery kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.â
Matthew 10:5-7 ESV: âThese twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, âGo nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, âThe kingdom of heaven is at hand.ââSermon Topics: Unity, Commitment, Sacrifice
