Episode 40 is HERE — and Eurovision 2027 is officially in motion.
This week we have everything. The official numbers from Vienna 2026 are in and we discuss everything about the 70th Eurovision Song Contest figures.
And then there is Bulgaria. The EBU's own Director said it — there is no other case like it in the history of the contest. In the space of three days, the host city bidding process officially launched with Sofia and Burgas emerging as the favourites, Martin Green visited Bulgaria and handed over the official Welcome Pack, and the government organising committee held its first meeting. Bulgaria means business.
We also look at Sanremo 2027 — dates confirmed, new host confirmed, and rumours of a dedicated Eurovision selection night. Azerbaijan's fans have launched a petition with over 1,300 signatures demanding a complete reform of the country's Eurovision selection process after four consecutive semi-final eliminations. And South Korea — an official announcement suggests the winner of the Asia Eurovision Song Contest could participate in Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria. We discuss what that actually means and how excited we are about it.

Vienna may be over, but the Eurovision 2027 story is already moving at full speed. This week we have a packed post-contest news roundup — and the theme is clear: more countries want in, and everyone has opinions.
Kosovo has issued its strongest case yet for EBU membership, with RTK's Acting Director General writing directly to the EBU ahead of the Prague General Assembly on June 25 and 26 — where new membership categories could finally open the door. Slovakia was spotted in the Vienna press centre and their Director-General has confirmed publicly: they will return to Eurovision, sooner or later. The Netherlands situation is getting complicated — AVROTROS is still waiting for the EBU evaluation, but Omroep Max has now stepped forward and said: if AVROTROS won't go, we will.
DARA has publicly invited Turkey to return to Eurovision — in neighbouring Bulgaria, where the cultural ties run deep and the timing could not be more perfect. Boy George has announced he wants to write the UK's entry for 2027 — and we have a lot of thoughts about that. And Bangaranga? Still conquering the world — number one in Germany for the first time since Euphoria in 2012, top five on Spotify Global, and over 20 million streams in its first week after the Grand Final.

Vienna may be done, but the drama? Absolutely not. This week we dive into everything that has happened since Saturday night — and there is a lot.
First — the controversy that has been dominating the post-contest conversation. Videos emerged online of Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov claiming his team was involved in preparing DARA's winning stage production. Everyone directly involved has denied it. But the story is not going away — and we have thoughts.
Then — Moldova. The Director General of TRM resigned following a massive public backlash over the Moldovan jury's decision to award only three points to Romania and zero points to Ukraine — while the Moldovan public gave Romania the maximum 12. One of the most striking jury vs televote splits we have ever seen, and it cost someone their job.
We also look ahead to Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria — the host city race is already underway, with Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas all in the running. Which city should get it?

Azerbaijan's Jiva has dropped "Just Go" — and it is exactly the kind of polished, confident pop that the country does so well. Czechia's Daniel Žižka brings us "Crossroads," the indie-pop gem that has been stuck in our heads since the second it dropped. Switzerland's Veronica Fusaro — 500 concerts, Glastonbury, opened for Mark Knopfler — is taking the beautifully intimate "Alice" to Semi-Final 2. And Armenia? Armenia have sent us "Paloma Rumba" by Simón, co-written by Rosa Linn herself, and it is the most fun we have had this entire season. Georgia's Bzikebi — Junior Eurovision 2008 WINNERS — have gone full circle and are taking "On Replay" to the senior Eurovision stage. The glow-up is REAL.
We also cover Ukraine's LELÉKA dropping a revamped "Ridnym" that leans even harder into the bandura and the emotion, and Moldova's turning up the fire on "Viva Moldova."

Episode 24 is HERE — and it is an absolute BANGER of a week for Eurovision 2026. We are talking eleven countries, elevenstories, and more drama than a Eurovision Grand Final interval act. Strap in.
Sweden has spoken — and they spoke LOUDLY. FELICIA wins Melodifestivalen 2026 with "My System" in a unanimous result, topping both the jury and the public vote. France has selected 17-year-old Monroe with "Regarde!" — and the bookmakers have already made them second favourites to win the whole contest. THE WHOLE CONTEST. Romania is bringing "Choke Me" to Vienna. Yes, really. And it'sdeeper than you think.
San Marino has done something truly iconic - they're sending SENHIT BACK. The queen of Rotterdam 2021 is returning with"Superstar," and we are not calm about it. Poland has given Alicja Szemplińska her long-overdue Eurovision moment after COVID cancelled her 2020 dream. Portugal is going full folk soul with Bandidos do Cante and "Rosa".
And the UK? The UK released LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER's song which is called "Eins, Zwei, Drei" and has PROMISED us the wildest performance in Eurovision history. We are obsessed. We also cover Israel's Noam Bettan releasing "Michelle," Montenegro's Tamara Živković dropping a revamped "Nova Zora", Azerbaijan announcing Jiva as their representative, and Czechia confirming Daniel Žižka for Vienna.
