On this energetic episode we talk about the impact of a skate park on a small Cornish community and how crowdfunding started a chain of events that raised over a staggering £300k and brought the whole community together. We reckon there are some potential Olympians already hard at work trying it out - alongside their 'old man's sessions'.

On this heartwarming and astonishing episode we hear from Hari Budha, an amazing fundraiser who, in May 2023, became the world’s first double above-knee amputee to summit Mount Everest, powered by the funds he raised on Crowdfunder.
Host Philippa Forrester is blown away as Hari tells the story of how a barefoot boy from Nepal, succeeded in joining the Gurkhas, but then had his life virtually destroyed after, whilst serving in Afghanistan, he stepped on a homemade bomb.
Hari describes how he rebuilt his life and how, supported by the power of the crowd, he triumphed over almost unimaginable physical and mental challenges to summit not only Mount Everest but the seven highest peaks in the world. He is now an ambassador for disabled people across the world.
Listen in - we dare you not to be inspired by Hari!

Crowdfunder and the National Benevolent Charity have launched a collaborative campaign called 'Home is where the harm is' to address this domestic abuse head-on. Working alongside Ren Yi Hooi at Lightning Reach and Gareth Evans at Cash Perks, they are utilizing crowdfunding to provide immediate financial support to victims of domestic abuse. Since the Euros, a domestic violence flashpoint, they have raised over c £20,000 through the crowd and distributed it discretely via 95 micro grants through local ATMs to women in desperate circumstances, making a tangible difference in their lives.
Ali Russell from the National Benevolent Society explains how the idea came about and how crowdfunding is helping her charity raise the funds they need.
