हनुमान चालीसा की सैंतीसवी चौपाई “जै जै जै हनुमान गोसाईं। कृपा करहु गुरुदेव की नाई।।” में तुलसीदास जी कहते है "हे स्वामी हनुमानजी। आपकी जय हो, जय हो, जय हो। आप मुझ पर कृपालु श्री गुरुजी के समान कृपा कीजिए। तुलसीदास जी यहाँ केहना चाहते है की जीवन में और कोई योग्य गुरु न मिले तो हनुमान जी को गुरु और हनुमान चालीसा को ही मंत्र बना लीजिए।

He is the current resident Swamiji at the Chinmaya Mission Tri-State Center. He is also also the president of Chinmaya Mission West and oversees the activities of over 60 Mission centers in the USA and Canada. The Vedas and the Sivagamas in Sanskrit and the Tirumurais and the Siddhanta Sastras in Tamil are the principal scriptures of Saiva Siddhanta. The four authors of the first eight of the Twelve Tirumurais are called the Samaya Acharyas. They are St. Tirugnana Sambandar, St. Tirunavkkarasar, St. Sundaramurthi, and St. Manikkavachakar. The hymns of the first three are generally known as Thevaram, and those of the last as Tiruvachakam.
