  • With interest rates rising 9 times in the last 12 months, we have seen a significant pullback in demand and property values dropping in response to lower borrowing capacity. But how much further will the RBA go in trying to smash the inflation rate down? The impact on borrowers is likely to be felt most severely in the next couple of months as many borrowers come off fixed rates. As interest rates reach their peak - is now a time when the property market will also bottom out?

It is a perplexing question and many economists have divergent views about whether we will have a hard or soft landing for the property market.

To help unpack this question and many more around the direction of the property market we are privileged to be joined by Head of Research - CoreLogic Tim Lawless.
