When Anthony Razzano was 12 years old he found himself engulfed in a fire. Over 87% of his body was burnt, he was read his last rights three times and underwent numerous surgeries and blood transfusions. Life, as he knew it, was over.
Anthony's story is one of adaptation and fighting against the odds. Having been so close to death, today he stands as a licensed sports agent for the NFL as well as a certified accountant.

This week we're revisiting Daisy's interview with Tabby Chapman from April 2022.
Tabby Chapman is a survivor of the NXIVM cult, an American cult that has been exposed as engaging in trafficking, forced labour and racketeering. The cult advertised itself as a self-help development service whilst recruiting women for a secret society called "DOS" in which women were abused. In early 2018, NXIVM's founder, Keith Raniere, and his associate, actress Allison Mack, were arrested and indicted on federal charges.
Since escaping the cult, Tabby has now trained as a Professional Clinical Counsellor, specialising in Marriage and Family therapy as a way to turn her experiences into help for others. She is also the founder of the Freedom Train Project, an advocacy program for people wishing to leave cults or coercive relationships.
In this interview, Daisy and Tabby talk about the story of NXIVM, Tabby's experience in the cult and leaving.

This week we're revisiting Daisy's interview with Gabby Garcia from February 2022.
Gabby Garcia was born a conjoined twin; at 8 months old went under highly risky surgery to separate her from her twin, Kayla. 13 years later, the mesh that was used to separate them caused complications - resulting in Kayla's death, just one day after Gabby had been cleared to leave hospital herself.
Gabby now dedicates her time to sharing and educating others about the risk surgery she went under, and life as a former conjoined twin. She's gained over 230K followers on her @oneleggabby TikTok account.
In this interview, Daisy and Gabby talk about life after being conjoined, and how her sisters death changed her outlook on life.

This week we're revisiting Daisy's interview with Encina Revera from April 2022.
Encina Severa has lived with dissociative identity disorder (known as 'DID') for her entire life, with eleven alter personalities that were formed as a coping mechanism in response to childhood trauma.
DID (previously known as multiple personality disorder) is a complex medical disorder where a person presents multiple distinct personalities, which can display in their voice, physical body language as well as the name they identify as. The disorder is also accompanied by amnesia.
In this conversation, Encina tells Daisy about the background to her DID, talks through her alters and the challenges she faces living with DID.

On Boxing Day 2004, Ani Naqvi was woken up by a loud bang. As she sought to discover the root of this noise, she soon found herself underwater as water filled her hut and she became, in her own words, "like a grain of rice in a washing machine". It was what would become known as the Indian Ocean Tsunami - the most powerful earthquake every recorded in Asia, with a magnitude of 9.1-9.3. An estimated 227,898 in 14 countries died due to the tsunami and it is considered one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history.
As a survivor of this, Ani has had to face up to her own survivors guilt to find meaning in life. Now she dedicates her life to inspiring the same amount of people as those who perished in the disaster.
Daisy Maskell is joined by Ani Naqvi to hear her first-hand experience in the Indian Ocean Tsunami, and to find out how it has shaped her view of the world today.

When Stephen Gillen was dropped in the middle of Belfast at the height of The Troubles, he didn't yet know just how the war surrounding him would impact the rest of his life. What came next was a life in and out of prison, first being sentenced aged just 14 years. He spent 20 years in Category A prisons for serious crime, surrounded by some of the country's most notorious criminals, including Charles Bronson.

Nick Pope is a British journalist and former civil servant. From 1985 to 2006, he worked at the British Government's Ministry of Defence; from 1991 working in Secretariat (Air Staff) Sec (AS) 2a more commonly known as the "UFO desk", where his duties included investigating reports of UFO sightings, to see if they had any defence significance.
In 2016, upon leaving the Ministry of Defence, Nick Pope announced that the government had ceased its research into UFOs. He continues his research and investigation as a freelance journalist covering subjects that include the unexplained, conspiracy theories and space.
In this interview, Daisy and Nick talk about the possibility of life beyond Earth, and Nick's experiences investigating UFOs.

This week we're revisiting Daisy's interview with Chris Lemons from February 2022.
Chris Lemons has been a deep sea diver for over 14 years, but a freak accident in 2012 nearly cut things short. His umbilical cord providing him with breathing gas, light and heat being severed - leaving him on the dark sea bed alone with only 3 or 4 minutes of emergency gas to keep him alive. It took his heroic rescuers over 40 minutes to come back and fetch him and his miraculous survival story has baffled experts ever since.
Chris' story has since been made into the hit Netflix documentary Last Breath.
In this interview, Daisy and Chris walk through the near-tragic events and get an insight into how it changed his outlook on life.

Just days after his 18th birthday, Jesse Crosson was sentenced to 32 years - twice the maximum of sentencing guidelines - after having been convicted of robbery and unlawful wounding. He was released on a pardon in 2021 after having served 19 years behind bars, some of which were spent sharing a cell with a serial killer.
After his release, Jesse took to TikTok to share his story and to advocate for criminal justice reform and to help those who have also been recently released.
In this interview, Daisy asks Jesse about his experience behind bars, living with those who have committed heinous crimes and his feelings after behind pardoned.

On July 20th 2020, 18 year old Grant Solomon was tragically killed in an unexplained accident in Gallatin, Tennessee. Travis Frain is one of a few (although, sadly, a growing number of) people who can say that they have survived a terrorist attack. When he was 19 years old, on a university trip to London, he was attacked on Westminster Bridge in an attack which injured more than 50 people, killing four. The attacker mounted the pavement, driving his van into pedestrians before crashing his car into the fence of the Palace of Westminster and attacking a police officer.
Today, Travis works as the National Chair of the Counter Terrorism Police Advisory Group and campaigns on behalf of terrorism survivors.

February 14th 2018 is the day that everything changed for Aalayah Eastmond. Whilst in her Holocaust History class at High School (the now infamous Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida), what she first thought was a prank turned out to be her worst nightmare as a shooter had breached campus. Minutes after first hearing gunshots, her classroom became a target for the shooter. Within six minutes of hell, he had shot 34 people, killing 17.
Aalayah has turned her trauma into advocacy and activism, becoming a founding member of Team Enough, the youth-led gun violence prevention campaign, and she has testified multiple times to the US Congress on gun violence.

Hippos are amongst the deadliest animals in the world, and few know the risk better than Paul Templer. Whilst leading a safari along the Zambezi River in Africa, Paul was attacked multiple times by a hippo - including being swallowed, head first, up to his waist. His colleague, Evans Namasango, died during the attack.
The fact that Templer survived is remarkable in itself; that he later canoed the length of the Zambezi, from source to sea, including coming face-to-face with his attacker again, shows just how remarkably brave and heroic he is.
