The wonderful Pippa Taylor Tarrant joins us in this episode to talk about her role as Exec Producer of the Chris Moyles breakfast show on Radio X, telling us how she started out in radio and how she gradually worked her way up from Unit Assistant to Greg James' producer at BBC Radio 1, before making the move over to commercial radio. We find out why the producer's attitude and behaviour can set the pace of a show, why it's important to create the right atmosphere and how she adjusted to commercial radio - and we also hear about some very stressful show stunts!

We work at Scala Radio so we thought it'd be a good idea to chat to someone in our team at Bauer's classical music station. Lissie Day has been a Producer at Scala since 2020 and she tells us about the range of shows she's produced in that time, working with different types of presenters and getting nominated for Best Music Special at the 2023 ARIA Awards for a brilliant series called Access All Areas hosted by Dame Evelyn Glennie. Plus, her advice for aspiring producers and why she's a huge fan of Craig Charles!

The lovely Grace Hopper is this episode's guest, and she tells us how she became a Producer at Radio 1, working with the likes of Greg James and Scott Mills, before moving over to Kiss and co-producing the Breakfast show with Jordan and Perri. She takes us through a typical day at Kiss and shares her excitement at her new job role at Executive Producer at independent production company TBI Media. She'll give her advice for aspiring producers and share her OMG story involving a national treasure!
