Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR visited Homestead for the second race of the Round of 8 where the playoff standings got shuffled a bit as Larson has a bad race where he now needs to have a good race at Martinsville this upcoming weekend to get himself into the Championship 4. Tyler Reddick took the win at Homestead to lock himself into the Championship 4.
Formula One went to Mexico City where Carlos Sainz won the Mexican GP as Max Verstappen entangles himself in some "controversy" that we discuss in detail. Ferrari moves ahead in the constructors championship to 2nd place surpassing Red Bull and is within a reach of 1st that McLaren currently holds.
The MX-5 Cup had its inaugural Martinsville race, an exhibition event, that saw Jared Thomas take home $25,000 and a Martinsville clock at the end of the 105-lap exhibition race. A very exciting ending too with everyone leaning on one another and using the bumpers effectively.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Martinsville, F1 is in Brazil, and WEC is at Bahrain for its season finale.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR went to sin city for its first race of three in the Round of 8 where the last driver to make it into this round ended up taking the win! Joey Logano has successfully locked himself into the championship four in a few weeks time. Three more spots are up for grabs with the two remaining races being Homestead (this weekend) and Martinsville (two weeks time).
F1 returned from its Fall break where they visited Austin, Texas for a Sprint Weekend too. After some great racing in both the Sprint and Grand Prix races, Verstappen ended up extending his points lead over Norris making his 4th title that much closer to a reality. Ferrari had themselves a stellar weekend! Sainz was an absolute machine during the Sprint race going from 5th to 2nd while putting on a great show! LeClerc took the win in the Grand Prix after driving past both Verstappen and Russel on lap 1. Sainz finished 2nd in the Grand Prix and Ferrari have put themselves very much so in reach of overtaking Red Bull in the constructors championship and if they continue like this could even have a chance at winning it!
ELMS had its season finale at Portimao where the finish in GT3 came down to a last lap pass as Iron Lynx Lamborghini dived it to the inside of the Iron Dames Porsche to snatch away first place!
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Homestead, F1 is in Mexico City, and MX5s are at Martinsville! Make sure to catch the MX5s on IMSA's Youtube channel.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR had it's final race of the Round of 12 where Larson took the win at the Charlotte Roval after a great move for the lead at the newly configured hairpin turn. We will note that for one great pass that was made it seemed that there were 3-4 terribly executed passes that resulted in one car taking out another one....rubbin is racing apparently.
IMSA capped its season off with Petit Le Mans which had a dramatic final two hours and even more so dramatic moment with 5 minutes to go where the leading Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac nearly completed an entire lap with NO headlights! The car was having an issue where its headlights were flickering on/off intermittently but luckily they stayed on long enough for the race stewards to give them the okay to continue. A pit stop that late in the race to fix the issue surely would have costed them the win. GTD Pro also had some championship drama as the Heart of Racing Aston Martin finished one place lower than they needed to in order to take the championship over the AO Racing Porsche which had a mechanical issue of it's own that set it back 5 laps down to the GTD Pro leaders.
Supercars had their Great Race! The Bathurst 1000! And a great race it was as there was only 3 cautions that happened during the entire race. Great job by everyone to get the cars to the finish.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Las Vegas for it's first race of three in the Round of 8. Formula One returns from it's Fall break with a race at COTA in Texas.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR took to the high banks of Talladega where THE Big One happened! 27 cars involved (everyone is ok!) which left us with a classic Green-White-Checkered Overtime finish to a NASCAR race. They go to Charlotte where they'll run the Roval configuration as the last race of the 2nd round. Four more drivers will be eliminated.
GT World Challenge capped its season off at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an 8 hour endurance race. 25 GT3s and wow it had some exciting action even from a pit strategy point of view too!
SCCA had it's biggest event of the year, the Run-Offs, at Road America this year! Three days of feature races for all the classes that took part this year and there were some great races that finished with some exciting side by side photo finishes as everyone was drafting off each other coming to the checkered flag.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Charlotte - Roval, IMSA has its season finale at Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans, Supercars is racing the Bathurst 1000, and Super Formula will have a double-header at Fuji.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR went to Kansas for it's 2nd round of the playoffs. Ross Chastain took the win in the end and celebrated by smashing a watermelon as usual.
The European Le Mans Series had a 4 hour race at Mugello where there was a big accident which brought out the red flag. Everyone was okay and they were able to continue on afterwards.
Red Bull had its red flag moment this past week as they announced Daniel Ricciardo would not be driving anymore races this season. An unfortunate end for someone with so much character in the paddock.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Talladega.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR wrapped up its first round of playoffs at Bristol which was duly dominated by Kyle Larson. They go to Kansas next weekend for the start of the next round of playoffs.
Formula 1 took on the giant lizard of Singapore where Lando Norris came out on top with Max Verstappen finishing 2nd and Oscar Piastri rounding out the podium in 3rd. Speculation of Ricciardo's situation has come up where questions are being asked if this was his last race in F1. There is also the questionable Swear-gate situation where the FIA is not pleased with Verstappen's use of the F word over the radio and gave him community service to which Verstappen had some comments about that.
IMSA had an exciting race that involved some wet weather for the 6 hour race at Indy. BMW walked away with a 1-2 finish in GTP which was a much needed and well deserved finish for them in the GTP era. After the race had finished, all GTP cars were impounded for inspection and also to be looked at for BoP to help for the final race at Petit Le Mans in a couple of weeks.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Kansas and MotoGP is in Indonesia.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR went bowling at the Glen this weekend as Turn 1 looked just like that for a lot of the restarts that happened during the races. Chris Buescher comes out on top as he capitalizes on a last lap mistake from SVG through the bus stop. NASCAR heads to Bristol for the last race of the first round of playoffs.
IndyCar had its season finale at Nashville Superspeedway and this race did not disappoint! Well it did a little bit in regards of the championship drama as Will Power has some bad luck and Alex Palou walks away with his 3rd IndyCar Championship. It was a tall order to begin with for Power but an issue with his lap belts unbuckling certainly put an end to his championship hopes rather quickly.
Formula 1 kicked off it's street race double header at Baku where 3 teams were nose to tail in the final laps of the race! These drivers were so close to each other that Sainz and Perez got into each other and very up close and personal with a wall that ended both of their races a lap short of the checkered flag. Piastri came out victorious with no controversy to spoil this win for him. LeClerc with a great 2nd finish (although tough to say after starting on pole). Norris had a bounceback finish of 4th after starting 17th. The struggles continue for Verstappen as he finishes 5th.
WEC raced at Fuji and what an entertaining race it was! Toyota got hit pretty hard with some BOP adjustments which meant we got a few new teams to see the podium for their first time in the Hypercar era - BMW finishes 2nd and Alpine finishes 3rd! The #6 Porsche Penske continues its successful run this season with their 2nd win of the season. This car has yet to finish outside of the top 10 with a 6th place finish as their worst result. Meanwhile in LMGT3, Manthey Porsche #92 officially clinches the GT3 class championship as they took 2nd place this weekend behind the #54 Vista AF Corsa Ferrari.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Bristol, F1 is in Singapore, and IMSA is at Indianapolis for a 6 hour race at the Brickyard.

NASCAR began it's playoffs at Atlanta where Joey Logano walked away with the win. Next round of the playoffs takes place this weekend at Watkins Glen.
IndyCar will wrap up its season this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway. Palou and Power will battle for the title as Palou enters the final race with a 33 point advantage. It will be a tough overhaul for Power but we're looking forward to a good race!
F1 takes to the streets of Baku in Azerbaijan. We'll see if McLaren can take control of the constructor's championship this weekend. They appear to have the most complete car at this point of the season but can they execute?
WEC races again this weekend in Fuji! We'll be watching out for the Circuit Safari in FP1!
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Watkins Glen, IndyCar is at Nashville for its season finale, F1 is in Baku, and WEC is in Fuji.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Ferrari is victorious once again for the 20th time at Monza! Charles LeClerc takes a win for Ferrari in Italy! FANTASTICO! McLaren's priorities come into question even more so as they fail to convert a front row lockout into a win along with the fact their leading driver in the driver's championship is not being prioritized for points to mount a comeback as Red Bull seems to be falling behind even further! There is a lot of signs pointing to a potentially exciting end to this season of F1.
NASCAR had it's last regular season race at Darlington as Chase Briscoe took the win to secure himself a playoff spot! Next week, the playoffs will begin at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
IndyCar had it's double header at Milwaukee and what an entertaining weekend it was! Race 1 was very exciting as Pato O'Ward got the win after putting himself in a great position for when the cautions came out. Race 2 was the more intriguing race as the championship could've been turned upside-down for Palou as he had troubles on the formation lap and Will Power looked poised to make up a lot of points. The points gap closed but Power did not get all that he could. The title is coming down to the last race of the season in Nashville in 2 weeks but Palou just needs a solid finish as he has this championship all but wrapped up at the moment.
Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Atlanta for the first race of the playoffs. Moto GP is in Italy for a round at Misano.

Harrison locks himself and the Wood Brothers team into the playoffs...without controversy too. Indycar had it's race at Portland where Will Power put in a dominant performance as Palou does his job and gets a good finish in 2nd to continue his way to securing another championship. IMSA had a successful GT weekend at VIR with some great races from the big guys through all of the support series.
Coming up this weekend: Indycar has a double header at Milwaukee, NASCAR is off to Darlington for the final round before the playoffs begin, WEC returns from it's break with their Lone Star Le Mans weekend at COTA, and F1 is in Italy at Monza.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
The summer break is here but before the racing world takes a small vacation or slight dip in the amount of racing on a weekend, Formula 1 concluded it's 14th round at Spa-Francorchamps. A very exciting, strategic race where it felt like it could've been one of 7-8 drivers that could've won had one driver/team made a mistake! George Russell took the win...wait...scratch that....Lewis Hamilton took the win after George was found to be UNDER the minimum legal weight by 1.5 kg (~3 lbs). After a brilliant one stop strategy, speculation is that he missed the legal weight due to his tires being worn by an equivalent amount of 1.5 kg....or they could've just under-fueled him by that much too.
Verstappen relinquished pole position after having to take a 10 place grid penalty due to an engine change. He was able to recover to 4th by the end of the race and was within 1 second of the podium which LeClerc was able to snag!
Formula 1 is now off for 3 weeks until the end of August where they return to Zandvoort! NASCAR is still on its summer break due to the Olympics and the TV coverage deal they have with NBC.
Coming up this weekend is IMSA at Road America. The WeatherTech series will be supported by the Michelin Pilot Series, Porsche Cup, and Mustang Challenge. Plenty of racing to watch! Also there's a race at the Nordschleife this weekend as VLN has one of its rounds. You can catch that race on YouTube.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
This past weekend, racecars tried to become planes as cars got airborne. Formula 1 continued its season at the Hungaroring where McLaren finished 1-2 but not without some controversy. Verstappen meanwhile finished 5th after bad strategy from the pit wall and a few overtakes that came from desperation on his end.
IndyCar went to the streets of Toronto where Andretti dominated as Colton Herta was 5 race laps short of a grand slam as he took the win ahead of his teammate Kyle Kirkwood. Two cars got airborne as well in this race with Santino Ferrucci most notably ending upside down. He was alright but that was the end of his race.
NASCAR returned to Indy but this time they returned to the rectangle for the Brickyard 400...and in typical NASCAR fashion the end of the race came down to an overtime finish but this one came with some extra spiciness as the officials seemed to make up some rules to get the race over with. Larson wins in the end but not very many people were happy otherwise about the decisions made from race control.
Coming up this weekend - Formula 1 goes to the infamous Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the last round before their summer break. NASCAR is on a two week summer break of their own as the Olympics are going on and NBC will be focusing their coverage to the events in Paris.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Indycar had its doubleheader at Iowa Speedway and it was a good heat test for the new hybrids as temperatures were high 80s to low 90s for both races. The repave changed the racing which the drivers had to navigate and pit stops had to be perfect as they played a more crucial role.
NASCAR was at Pocono where Ryan Blaney took the win. WEC returned to Interlagos for the first time in 10 years and what a show they put on! Fantastic battles throughout the race! Great return to a great facility for these cars. Hope they keep this track around in future seasons. IMSA had another round at Mosport with the LMP2s being the top class. Both GT classes were there as well so just the GTPs that took a round off.
Coming up this weekend: F1 is at Hungary, NASCAR returns to Indy for the Brickyard 400, and Indycar is on the streets of Toronto.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Formula One wraps up their triple header at the British GP and what a glorious and most prestigeous event it was as Britain conquered the motorsports world.....as non-British viewers of the race & also proud Americans, we were in full support of someone to spoil their party to "rob" a British driver of a win at their home race. But alas, Lewis Hamilton came out in victory and I have to say we were not disappointed with the race. It was actually very good!
Indycar has reached it's mid point of the season, however, now they are officially racing with the new hybrid systems onboard! O'Ward and Palou put on a great race as they were the class of the field that day! NASCAR raced in the streets of Chicago and it was wet. The European Le Mans Series also had a round at Imola which we cover as well.
Coming up this weekend: Indycar is at Iowa Speedway for a doubleheader (Saturday and Sunday race), NASCAR is at Pocono for 400 miles, and WEC returns to Interlagos in Brazil for another 6 hour race of their championship.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR had its typical crazy finish but this time everyone was running out of fuel on the later restarts of the race. Logano finds a way to come out of there victorious. F1 visited the Styrian Hillside at the Red Bull Ring where Max and Lando finally came together and a surprise victory for George Russel and Mercedes fell their way. Lastly, the 24 Hours of Spa took place as well with over 60 entries and what a crazy race with rain intervening and a jaw dropping final pit stop for one of the overall contenders to win!
Coming up this 4th of July weekend: F1 wraps up its triple header with the British Grand Prix, NASCAR heads to Chicago for the Street Course, and Indycar continues its season at Mid Ohio!

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR raced waited for hours to race in the rain at New Hampshire and reviews were mixed but was interesting for sure. Formula 1 kicked off it's triple header at Barcelona in Spain where Verstappen and Red Bull just keep on going but Norris and McLaren are inching closer and closer! Indycar visited Laguna Seca where it was one hell of a strategy race, however, Palou and Ganassi continue their dominance. Can Palou continue this momentum into the 2nd half of the season? Lastly, IMSA had it's Watkins Glen 6 Hours and we don't think that disappointed one bit! Some great racing with mixed conditions and a quick red flag had the race come down to a roughly 30 minute sprint race at the end where GTP saw the Porsche and Cadillac chase one another to the line and in GTD Pro we had a 6 way battle for the lead where the Heart of Racing Aston Martin came out on top!
Looking ahead to this weekend F1 is in the hills of Austria at the Red Bull Ring. Also the Spa 24 is taking place as well to cap off the 72 Hours of June for a few drivers that competed in the Nurburgring 24 and 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this month.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
The World Endurance Championship ran one of racing's triple crown's over the past weekend: The 24 Hours of Le Mans. What a fantastic race it was! Multiple manufacturers in the top class fighting for the win along with great battles in the LMP2 and GT3 classes. Ferrari walks away victorious for the 2nd year in a row and with a 1st and 3rd finish in the Hypercar class where double points were awarded at this race, their hopes for a WEC title have been reignited for sure with 4 more races to go in the season. Their next race will be in July at Interlagos in Brazil.
Looking ahead to this weekend, Formula 1 is back in action as they start a triple header beginning in Barcelona. Indycar is off to California where they'll be racing at Laguna Seca and NASCAR will be in New Hampshire where they will look to win a Lobster.

F1 returns to Montreal for another entertaining Canadian GP. We also discuss the driver market as more seats are confirmed for next year.
Indycar raced at Road America and it was an interesting strategy where the winner took it by using the overcut strategy! Some additional headlines from there was Linus Lundqvist takes his first pole as a rookie and Jamie Chadwick gets her first pole in Indy NXT and took the win as she led flag to flag!
NASCAR was at Sonoma where Larson locked himself into the playoffs once again for the 3rd time this season.
Coming up this weekend is the 24 Hours of Le Mans! 62 entries with 23 Hypercars, 16 LMP2s, and 23 GT3s. It is looking like a competitive race with the driver lineups from the entry list and some rain may come into play in the final hours of the race too!
