When life feels confusing, disappointing, or hard, it’s easy to let fear fill in the blanks. One comment, one setback, one hard moment, and suddenly we’re assuming the worst, replaying the negative, and letting one challenge color the entire story.
In this episode, we’re talking about the power of perspective and why a winning mindset matters so much in the middle of real-life challenges. Kristin shares how shifting your thoughts can help you stop spiraling, start looking for what’s still good, and face unwanted situations with truth, grit, and a God-led perspective.
This isn’t about pretending the hard thing isn’t hard. It’s about learning how to stop giving fear the microphone, stop letting one bad moment take over the whole day, and start asking better questions in the middle of the challenge.
If you’ve been feeling stuck in negative thought patterns, overwhelmed by uncertainty, or tempted to assume the worst, this episode will help you reset your perspective and anchor your mind in truth.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why our minds are quick to fill in the blanks with fear and worst-case scenariosHow one hard moment can start coloring the entire day, season, or storyWhat it looks like to stop rehearsing the negative and start intentionally looking for the goodHow to ask, “What else could be true here?” when your thoughts start spiralingWhy focusing on the positive isn’t denial—it’s disciplineHow God’s truth helps us face challenges with resilience, steadiness, and hopePractical questions to ask yourself when fear, frustration, or offense start taking overThrough one-on-one coaching, we'll work together to identify what's stealing your peace, develop practical faith-centered strategies for growth, and help you move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

In this episode of Redefine Success, we're putting on our goggles and diving into a relay race.
Using the imagery of an endurance relay race, we'll explore what it means to keep swimming when life feels long, the water gets choppy, and you're tempted to give up. Along the way, "Coach Paul" offers encouragement through Scripture, reminding us that God isn't calling us to be the fastest. He's calling us to be faithful.
Whether you're feeling weary, discouraged, or simply wondering if you're making any progress, this episode will encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, lean on your teammates, and press on toward the prize God has prepared for you.
In this episode, you'll learn:Why success should be measured by endurance instead of speed. How God uses life's "sore muscles" to build character and hope. What to do when someone else's "wake" spills into your lane. Why God designed us to run—and swim—this race together. How to keep pressing on when the finish line still feels far away.Through one-on-one coaching, we'll work together to identify what's stealing your peace, develop practical faith-centered strategies for growth, and help you move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

Have you ever looked at your already overflowing schedule and thought, "You know what I need? Another commitment?"
If so, you're not alone.
In this episode of Redefine Success, we're tackling a challenge that quietly steals our motivation, clouds our thinking, and makes it nearly impossible to maintain a winning mindset: burnout.
I'll share about my attempt to learn sign language while juggling an already packed schedule and my ambitious return to the keyboard after more than thirty years away from it. While both were worthy pursuits, they revealed an important truth: burnout isn't always the result of making bad choices. Sometimes it's the result of trying to do every good thing that comes our way.
In this episode, you'll discover:
• Why burnout destroys your ability to maintain a winning mindset
• Why intentionality is essential for protecting your time and energy
• Practical ways to identify what's most important in your current season of life
If you've been feeling stretched thin, unmotivated, or like your to-do list resembles a CVS receipt, this episode will encourage you to pause, realign your priorities, and create space for what matters most.
Key ScripturesIsaiah 58:11"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame."
Ecclesiastes 3:1"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
Through one-on-one coaching, we'll work together to identify what's stealing your peace, develop practical faith-centered strategies for growth, and help you move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

Do you know what's harder to control than a four-year-old in a bounce house after cake, ice cream, and a candy buffet?
Your emotions.
In this episode, we're talking about emotional resilience—the ability to adapt, recover, and keep moving forward when life doesn't go according to plan. Whether you're navigating disappointment, waiting on answered prayers, raising children, balancing work and family, facing setbacks, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, emotional resilience plays a critical role in your peace, confidence, and God-led success.
Using Philippians 4:8 as our anchor scripture, we'll explore why our thoughts and emotions are so closely connected and how what occupies our minds ultimately influences our perspective, our decisions, and the direction of our lives.
This conversation isn't about pretending everything is okay when it isn't. It's about learning how to acknowledge difficult emotions without allowing them to dictate your future. It's about choosing faith over fear, hope over discouragement, and God's truth over temporary feelings.
In This Episode, You'll Learn:What emotional resilience really is—and what it isn'tWhy controlling your thoughts is often more important than controlling your circumstancesHow Philippians 4:8 provides a practical roadmap for finding peaceWhy disappointment, setbacks, and delays don't have to define your storyHow emotional resilience impacts your faith, relationships, confidence, and successThe role of grace, self-awareness, and perseverance in building resilienceEmotional resilience isn't about avoiding difficult emotions. It's about developing the ability to keep moving forward without allowing those emotions to determine your direction.
If this episode resonated with you and you're ready to strengthen your confidence, develop healthier thought patterns, and build greater emotional resilience, I'd love to help.
Through one-on-one coaching, we'll work together to identify what's stealing your peace, develop practical faith-centered strategies for growth, and help you move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

Have you ever noticed how comfortable we are when we feel like we're in control?
In this episode, I share a simple but powerful lesson from a recent swim lesson. My student is perfectly fine in one area of the pool—even though she can't touch the bottom. But the moment she thinks she's entering the deep end, fear takes over.
Whether it's starting a business, pursuing a dream, having a difficult conversation, stepping into leadership, or following a calling God keeps placing on our hearts, we often find ourselves hesitating—not because God has changed, but because we're being asked to leave what's familiar.
This episode uncovers
Why our desire for control often keeps us stuckThe difference between faith and certaintyWhy confidence usually comes after action—not before itHow to recognize when God may be stirring something in your heartWhat it means to trust God when you can't see the entire path aheadAnd..I include a faith-filled twist on today's overly popular acronym.
Faith isn't having all the answers before you move. Faith is trusting God enough to take the next step and discovering His faithfulness along the way.
If you've been waiting until you feel ready, certain, or confident before moving forward, this episode is your reminder that sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in the planning—it's found in the stepping.
Hebrews 11:8"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
Remember: The same God who has been faithful in the shallow end will be faithful in the deep end.
Step off the ledge and start swimming

Have you ever accomplished something, only to immediately focus on what could have been better? Maybe you've found yourself comparing your life to someone else's, chasing impossible standards, or feeling like your best efforts somehow never quite measure up.
In this episode, we're tackling the hidden burden of perfectionism and how comparison can keep us from ever feeling successful. We'll explore why the finish line keeps moving, why it's so difficult to celebrate our wins, and how God's definition of success differs from the world's.
Through personal stories, biblical wisdom from James 1:4 and Philippians 3:12, and a fresh perspective on what it means to live faithfully, you'll discover that success isn't about getting everything right—it's about growing, maturing, and becoming more like Christ along the way.
If you've ever been too hard on yourself, struggled to celebrate your accomplishments, or felt like nothing you do is quite good enough, this episode is for you.
It's time to stop chasing perfect, start celebrating progress, and redefine success through the lens of faithfulness.
It's time to celebrate!

Success is often portrayed as something deeply personal. But what if part of redefining success is recognizing that none of us were designed to walk through life alone?
In this episode, we talk about the importance of encouragement, fellowship, and surrounding ourselves with the right people. The truth is, there are moments in life when our own strength feels weak. Moments when purpose feels heavy, discouragement creeps in, or we struggle to even take the first step. And in those moments, community matters.
Drawing from personal experiences, including the voices that helped carry me through a difficult race when exhaustion and pain told me to quit, we explore how encouragement can become the very thing that helps someone start, continue, or finish their journey to success.
We weren’t designed to carry burdens alone, and we weren’t designed to celebrate victories alone either. Look for strength in the people God places along the route.
So, who’s in your corner? And who are you encouraging to keep going?
You can do it!

To have drive and to be driven is a wonderful characteristic. It should be celebrated. We teach our kids to work hard, pursue excellence, improve their skills, and strive to succeed. There’s nothing wrong with having a fire in your belly, the desire to accomplish goals, and build something meaningful can be incredibly healthy.
What’s fueling the fire?
In this episode, we talk about the difference between healthy ambition and unhealthy motives. We explore how the same drive that can build businesses, ministries, teams, families, and influence can also become rooted in ego.
Through practical examples from leadership, parenting, coaching, teaching, and Scripture, we examine how motivation shapes the outcome of our success. Because the issue is rarely whether we have drive it’s whether that drive is rooted in purpose and service or in identity and self-promotion.
A healthy fire doesn’t consume peace, relationships, humility, or identity. Instead, it produces perseverance, discipline, generosity and meaningful impact in the lives of others.
The fire was never meant to consume you. It was meant to shine through you.

What if the version of success you’ve been chasing is actually the reason you feel exhausted, behind, or disconnected? In this episode of ReDefine Success, we unpack how comparison quietly shifts the finish line and why so many people feel pressure to chase a version of success they never intentionally chose.
Through personal reflections and faith this episode challenges the idea that success is only measured by visibility, money, achievement, or applause. This episode is a invitation to begin redefining success in a way that actually aligns with your values, your faith, and the life you truly want to live because success without alignment eventually becomes draining.
Have you been chasing a definition of success you never intentionally chose?

In this episode, we’re talking about manufactured momentum and the pressure to always be moving, producing, posting, hustling, and staying busy just to feel valuable. Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that constant activity equals success… but does it really?
We unpack how busyness can sometimes become a distraction from peace, purpose, and the life God is actually calling us to live. This conversation is about retraining our minds to stop glorifying exhaustion and start defining success through alignment, obedience, peace, and intentional living.
You’ll be encouraged to reflect on:
Why we tie our worth to productivityThe difference between purposeful momentum and performative busynessHow comparison and hustle culture distort our definition of successWhat it looks like to slow down and trust God’s paceCreating a life that reflects calling over constant chaosThis is a gentle reminder that you do not have to earn your value through nonstop motion. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause long enough to hear where God is actually leading you.
“Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:6

In this episode, we’re talking about the pressure so many people carry when they don’t feel successful enough and how quickly setbacks, disappointments, and unmet expectations can turn into self-doubt and feelings of failure.
But what if we stopped using the word failure altogether?
This conversation explores how comparison, fear, unrealistic expectations, criticism, and perfectionism can distort the way we view success, growth, and even ourselves. Together, we walk through five powerful questions designed to uncover what may actually be holding you back from feeling successful and confident in the direction God is leading you.
We also discuss the importance of reframing setbacks as setups for growth, wisdom, resilience, and redirection while recognizing that success is often less about perfection and more about perspective, faith, consistency, healing, and continuing to move forward.
Most importantly, this message reminds us that God never called us to live defeated, condemned, or stuck in shame. He calls us to renew our minds, shift our perspective, and stop attaching our identity to every unsuccessful moment.
Because maybe success isn’t about having life perfectly packaged with a nice little bow on top.
Maybe it’s simply about continuing to grow, trust God, and keep getting back up again.
