SET YOUR MIND UP RIGHT FOR PERMANENT CHANGE!
In can be difficult to find the motivation to make a change in your life, especially when it comes to big things like exercise and diet. After all, starting a new workout plan or overhauling your diet is a big deal! It takes weeks of planning, mistakes, and fine tuning before a regular exercise routine or new diet becomes a habit.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by what to do and where to start, it can be easier to look at big lifestyle changes as a cycle of behavior. This way you can see what stage you are in and where you should to next. Let's take a closer look at each stage of behavior change and how to reach the final phase - maintenance.
FIVE STAGES OF BEHAVIOR CHANGE
1. Precontemplation - In this first stage you are moving in and out (very non-dramatically) of making a change, but are certainly not passionate about it, or really even considering it full-heartedly.
2. Contemplation - This is the stage where you are starting to make small changes and taking small actions toward bringing about change in your life. You may be reaching out to a personal trainer for help and advice. Just testing the waters.
3. Preparation - You are in more preparation mode to begin to make a desired change in your life. You have cleared out your pantry and refridgerator of unhealthy foods and replaced them with healthier food choices and begun a walking regimen three times per week.
4. Action - You have fully committed yourself to change and you are on a roll of changing your negative habits by replacing them with healthier habits.
5. Maintenance - This is where all of your hard work from the previous stages have become habits and you have turned your lifestyle around for the better. This is where you need to really work hard at maintaining your momentum in order to make the change permanent.
Unfortunately, we are human and we will be faced with challenges and our bodies and minds will want to take us back to what is comfortable and familiar - this is where you really need to push! I strongly recommend getting involved with an accountability group online or get an accountability partner or a workout buddy. Begin to IMMERSE yourself into the lifestyle of what you want, and begin to hang out with those people that fuel you to be the best version of you!

Welcome Everyone!
So happy to be introducing my new podcast show!
This is simply the welcome episode, where I am introducing a bit about myself, and a little about what to look forward to in future episodes.
Really appreciate you all being here, showing up, and supporting this show..but, more importantly, supporting yourself!
I am a Certified Whole-Life Health Coach with an MBA and extensive life experience and education in both the fitness/health/wellness industry, and the entrepreneurial/small business industry as well.
My goal is to help transform the lives of at least 500 people by the year 2020, and hope that they go on to do the same. We are social creatures, who need love, acceptance, approval, and appreciation, and my goal is to help people find get to that passion that burns inside, so that they can live their best life, pursue and live their dreams, and help others to do the same.
