I had the honor of sitting down and having a wonderful conversation with the very talented Mary Lou Lackey!! Mary Lou is a singer song writer, she currently is living in Nashville working on making music that glorifies God. Mary's testimony of working through her struggle with OCD is very inspiring. Another great conversation on the pod today!! I sat down with Haddon and talked about how he came to know and follow Christ. Haddon is a talented singer and song writer! Today on the Running Through My Vanes Podcast I welcome Ray Ortega!! Ray played pro baseball for the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers during the inaugural USPBL season. He then went on to coach for the San Francisco Giants as a hitting coach for their development league. After that he went on to coach for the very popular Savannah Bananas as a hitting coach!! He is currently on a very important mission of saving the sport of baseball. Professional baseball has been on a steady decline in popularity over the years and Ray is exploring ways to make it great again.
More important than all of that, Ray is a Christ follower and has a passion to share his faith with the players he coaches and interacts with. Ray's passion for Christ and his boldness is quite inspiring and pushes people to strive for that as well. Enjoy this conversation as much as I did!!

James shares how he has recently just totally surrendered control of his life over to Christ after holding so tightly on thinking he could do things on his own. Today on the podcast we have Kendall Eugene! Kendall is a former pastor turned country music artist. Kendall was a contestant on Season 26 of The Voice!! He was the first contestant ever to receive the "Coaches Replay Button" from Reba McEntire. When I saw this audition and heard a little bit of Kendall's story I knew I needed to get him on the show! Kendall's story is not neat, clean or pristine, in fact it is quite messy. It is in that messiness that God still loves him and Kendall is using that love and forgiveness to keep moving forward. This was one of the most deep and introspective podcast I have recorded to date! I had a great time talking to Madalyn about life and music! Madalyn is an extremely talented singer and song writer. Her songs that she posts on instagram catch hold of people and really challenge them. She has established a pretty big "following" on instagram, we both dislike the term but the views that she has gotten on her reals are pretty incredible. I came across James by listening to him on The Rollercoaster Podcast. The story in which he shared broke my heart. James lost his wife unexpectedly last year. You will hear in this podcast episode this story and how James is moving forward in the grief and Love that Christ provides. To be honest this was one of the hardest yet most rewarding conversations I have had to date on the podcast. My prayer is that these conversations will direct you to Christ's love! I got to sit down and have an awesome conversation with Micah Christopher this past week. Micah's testimony is so cool and inspiring. From growing up watching his dad preach and lead on a Sunday morning to leading Sunday worship himself. Micah is now pursuing a dream of being and artist and song writer. Micah writes and sings songs that help others connect with Jesus and everything He has done for us. Micah is a devoted husband and father and he uses his family as inspiration. I encourage you to go and listen to Micah's songs as they have been very encouraging. He has a new single out now and in fact it's a Christmas song titled "Lift Your Voice" (Hallelujah). This weeks episode was such a cool one! I got to sit down and talk to Laura Williams! Laura was a contestant on the voice in season 24! She received a 4 turn chair during her audition! She ultimately chose Niall Horan as her coach and you can hear that story in during our conversation. Laura was able to tell her testimony of overcoming school bullying and eating disorder to finding her faith in Jesus! Now Laura is on a journey to sing praises and glory to the One who came to save her. We also discussed the everyday struggles that we face when we do have an Identity in Christ. Laura has her debut single out now called "Who Jesus Is". This song is a reflection of what Laura wants people to see when they look at her! This song has wrecked me because I want to reflect Christ in my life and my prayer is that I do that to the best of my abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and hope you do as well!!

Running Through My Vanes had the honor of having Carly Tefft on the podcast this week! Carly is a singer song writer who holds strong beliefs of who she is, a child of God! Carly has definitely been on a journey the last couple of years. She survived a horrible car accident, lost her mom to breast cancer, and was "cancelled" due to signing the National Anthem at a Trump rally.
