The Kings after picking up a win Utah, embarked on one of the weirdest road trips ever. First they headed to Atlanta where they were able to eek out a close game after leading huge for much of the game.
They then had to head across the US border to get to Toronto to play the Raptors the next night. And that weird travel arrangement clearly affected them as they lose a game where they turned the ball over a bunch and couldn't hit their shots from 3.
They'll now head back across the US border to go to Miami to play the Heat on Monday and hopefully they aren't as affected by the brutal travel schedule this time around.

After dropping their 1st two games of the season against tough opponents, it was imperative that they bounce back in their next 2 games against projected lesser opponents.
And the Kings did just that, by first beating the Blazers on the 1st night of a back to back at home. The game was a mud fight in the 1st half with a slow pace and tons of fouls. But the Kings were able to break out of the Blazer's shackles in the 2nd half as their shots began to drop and the pace sped up to King's liking. It was good to see them able to figure out their opponent in real time and force them to play the King's style of basketball.
On the 2nd night of the back to back in Utah, the Kings took care of business as they simply overwhelmed the Jazz with their high paced offense and active defense. Last year these games were terrifying for Kings fans as the Kings seemed to always play down to the level of their opponents, so it was good to see them take care of business.

The Kings lose another close one to drop to 0-2 to start the season. The Kings were getting the better of the Lakers for 3 quarters, but Lebron went absolutely nuclear to start the 4th quarter to give the Lakers a huge double digit lead and the Kings were shell shocked.
But they stayed in it, they fought back and made it a one possession game late in crunch time but Anthony Davis drilled a dagger 3 to end his vaunted losing streak against Sabonis.
Of course, starting out 0-2 isn't the most ideal result but the Kings again even in a loss have a lot of positives to look at and it should be a matter of time before things begin to click and they'll be a formidable unit.

A new year, a new Kings team, but they still lose their home opener. The Wolves came into the G1C and in what feels like deja vu all too often when teams come here, they don't miss from 3. The Wolves hit 20 threes in the game and that was the big stat that propelled them to win the game and hold off the Kings.
The Kings on the other hand weren't shabby in their debut, they played really good for the most part but a bad stretch in the 3rd allowed the Wolves to get back in the game when they had a chance to blow the game open.
Despite the loss, there are many encouraging signs as the new look Kings begin to gel, and once they do, they could be dangerous.

Welp, another ugly game from the Kings in the preseason. With Fox and Monk sitting out, the Kings really struggled to get any consistent offense throughout the game. And on the other side of the ball, there were moments but the same problems still exist with the other team dropping 3s on the Kings and getting into the paint way too easily.
This is the 1st time since 1991 that the Kings have gone winless in the preseason. Is it a bad omen? Or is it nothing to worry about since it is just preseason. We'll have to wait until opening night to find out.

Another preseason game and another loss for the Kings. While it is still preseason, some worrying signs are showing for the team as they continue to struggle to defend and score from beyond the arc.
They still have time to iron things out before the start of the regular season and this could ultimately mean nothing.
In news before the game, the Kings traded Jalen McDaniels to the Spurs along with cash and a 2nd round pick to clear up some money for what is speculated to be a move before the season starts.

Well that was an ugly watch, the King lose in confounding fashion to the Trailblazers at home. Their offense was out of wack, they couldn't hit their 3s, and they couldn't stop turning the ball over. On the other side, they kept fouling, kept giving up open 3s and drives to the rim. Bad recipe if you're going to win basketball games.
It's a showcase for the absolute worst version of the Kings, and you just hope they can learn from this so it doesn't carry over into the regular season.
In a lighter note, something that was very enjoyable to watch was AEW's PPV on Saturday so Owen and Fong review it and give their thoughts.

Kings basketball is back ... well preseason basketball anyways. And it's been a fun start in their first 2 games against the Warriors, as they usually are.
The starters have been amazing in their stints, and their big free agent this summer Demar DeRozan has taken to the team like Moo Deng has to water. The bench on the other hand, let's just say needs a lot of work.
Reinforcements will be coming as Huerter, Lyles and McLaughlin will be returning from injury at some point but so far things go south when the starters sit.

Training camp is near, and with it the NBA season. And boy did we get started with a bang as the Wolves trade Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks for Julius Randle and Donte Divincenzo. A shocking development and what a start to the season.
While all this is happening, the Kings make some signing of players from the G-League and then waiving them, and then signing more. And it also came out that Jordan McLaughlin and Trey Lyles suffered injuries and will miss the start of training camp.

News from King's Land! Well, kind of. As part of the Curry brand, Fox will soon be releasing his first signature shoe later this year. It will likely be revealed later this week on their tour of China. Keon was on Deuce and Mo and he talked about his journey and path to the NBA.
And in the wrestling world, AEW All Out took place and it was polarizing show to say the least. Some were off put by the extreme violence and visuals in the show while some argue that it's establishing its identity more. You be the judge.

Last we left off, Team 7 and Kabuto found themselves trapped in a genjutsu. The casters reveal themselves to be part of Rain village and they do battle to fight each other's scroll so they may advance to the next phase of the exam.
Team 7 and Kabuto ultimately come out on top and they enter the tower to qualify for phase 3. But, because so many genin made it to the tower, preliminary matches have to be held to narrow down the pool of participants to include only the very best.
And so it begins, the first 2 matches are Sasuke vs Hiroi and Shino vs Zaku. Both matches are filled to the brim with intrigue and it begins a phase in the show where it begins to build the many characters in the series, giving the show life.
