Tackling the most elite of monsters, indie giant Torfoot Entertainment Group enters the world of epic creatures like Kong and Godzilla in the footsteps of creative pioneers like Toho Studios.

Taking inspiration and influences from classic creature features, THE YETI is a pure genre film, delivering thrilling action with copious amounts of blood and gore. It harnesses the environmental ruggedness of the Arctic and the bloody carnage of a giant monster slaughtering its human prey. Shooting on anamorphic lenses, in full-color widescreen, laying bare the polar Arctic in all its beauty and terrifying rawness. Following a cinematic language that will feel like the crystalline bedrock of those majestic natural tableaus of films like THE REVENANT and INTO THE WILD.

THE YETI is co-written and co-directed by Emmy award winner Gene Gallerano (THE FIRST WAVE, AMERICAN SYMPHONY, National Geographic’s PHOTOGRAPHER), and William Pisciotta (THUNDER ROAD, BEAST BEAST). THE YETI Creature Design is spearhead by the innovative team of industry titans Wayne Anderson & Ali Gordon (THE PREDATOR, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, STRANGER THINGS, GHOSTBUSTERS, IT, THE NUN, HELLRAISER, THE TOMORROW WAR, AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER)

THE YETI is a Torfoot Entertainment Group production (repped by Brillstein), and the team is led by producers Johnathan Brownlee (STANDOFF AT SPARROW CREEK, PUPPETMASTER, DECODING ANNIE PARKER) and Ross Meyerson (DEXTER: RESURRECTION, FALLOUT, THE EQUALIZER) with SFX/Creature Design by Wayne Anderson and Ali Gordon (THE PREDATOR, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, STRANGER THINGS, THE NUN, HELLRAISER), Stunt Coordinator/Second Unit Director: Freddie Poole (BIKERIDERS, TULSA KING, THE SAMARITAN), Production Designer Frank Coppola (CABRINI, NIGHTMARE ALLEY, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, A QUIET PLACE II.)

Oil tycoon, Merriell Sunday Sr. and renowned adventurer, Hollis Bannister have disappeared without a trace. Their last known location is northern Alaska. Ellie Bannister and Merriell Sunday Jr., set out to search for their missing fathers and the truth behind what made them vanish! As the rescue team heads deeper into the heart of this frozen landscape, danger mounts. Something has taken notice of their trespassing expedition…and that prehistoric something is now stalking them... hunting them... THE YETI

This is one of the first projects for the newly formed Torfoot Entertainment Group, a privately financed production company whose model is based on culturing quality content and bringing together creators and financiers, smartly accessing local filming incentives and putting local production teams to work.

In the intriguing world of KAOS, it’s the pantheon of gods versus humans with Zeus at the top of the mythological food chain as the cruel and stylish ruler of the gods, a position he has enjoyed for some time. Then one day he discovers the unthinkable: a wrinkle on his forehead. Paranoia builds, leading the supreme deity down a dangerous and unstable path. All-powerful Zeus is convinced his fall is nigh and sees omens of doom everywhere.

Recently audiences saw Shila as Cinder Lumen Firetown’s resident matchmaker in Disney & Pixar ELEM ENTAL, utilizing her natural gift that allows her to smell true love in a Fire person’s smoke, whether they know it or not. She boasts numerous matches throughout her tenure—she’s proud of her track record—but this brusque, no-nonsense and traditional mom has yet to find a match for her daughter. Elsewhere audiences can see Shila Ommi on the Apple TV+ espionage thriller, “Tehran.” Shila Ommi is one of the returning co-stars of Apple TV+, espionage thriller, “Tehran,” now streaming season two now on Apple TV+. The heart-pounding “Tehran,” which has earned the comparison in the media already of “24” meets “The Americans,” is must-watch TV at its finest.

Shila Ommi is an American/ actress, born in Tehran, and has lived in Los Angeles since the onslaught of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Her mother was a poet and her father was a philanthropist, real estate mogul, and the founder and CEO of Iran’s largest construction company, Vima Co. At an early age, Ommi witnessed the wrath of the Islamic regime. Ommi’s father was also on their hit list, but her family had the chance to flee the country, leaving behind their wealth and all their belongings to begin a new life in the United States. Today, Shila Ommi is a prominent actress in the Iranian communities in diaspora. For over a decade, she toured the globe as the lead actress and co-artistic director of Workshop 79, a theatre company spearheaded by acclaimed Iranian playwright/director/actor Houshang Touzie (“A Simple Wedding,” “Argo”). The founder of the LA-based theater group, Turquoise Heart Productions, Ommi uses theater art as a form of healing and activism, writes, directs, and acts in theatre pieces that share the Iranian experience with American audiences, and the exile experience with Iranians abroad. She is recently directed a play commissioned by the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.

Ommi portrays the character Nahid, in the acclaimed espionage thriller, “Tehran,” with seasons 1 & 2 streaming now on Apple TV+ . She portrayed the character of Yasmin in the Apple TV+ anthology series “Little America” co-starring with Shaun Toub (who is also her screen husband in “Tehran”). Ommi is also a voice-over artist and performs regularly in animated films and web series. She is the voice of all the characters, male and female in a cartoon series called “NOPM: Special Forces” which was commissioned by the Boromand Foundation, a human rights organization focused on Iran’s human rights violations. HAPPY CAMPERS chronicles the final days of a working-class summer colony in a scrappy trailer park that just happens to hold the secret to a rich life.

In a waterfront campground off the coast of Virginia, residents spend their summers living spitting distance apart in rust-bitten RVs. They chuckle about the modest rent they pay for a million-dollar location, but what makes them the luckiest people in the world is more than just stunning sunsets, it’s the community they’ve created.

Beneath cliched trailer park stereotypes lies an unlikely utopia where all are welcome. Neighbors help each other out, and share everything from power tools to simple pleasures. Loneliness and isolation are inconceivable.

When their affordable paradise is sold to developers, the residents brace for eviction and the loss of friendships that span generations. They hold tight to their final days in the sun. The well-heeled crowd that takes their place will never be as wealthy.

  • DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

“For my first feature I wanted to make something interesting, funny, and heartfelt with a real independent film sensibility similar to films I loved growing up in the 80s and 90s. I see the film as an anti-rom com of sorts and wanted it to feel timeless.

The casting was crucial to create the tone of the film and the characters that drive the story. The entire cast was amazing to work with. It felt like a never-ending summer camp on set.

I hope that the audience is entertained, amused, touched and most of all enjoy the ride before it's over.”

  • Jim Poole says “The human race appears to be in a race to erase the human race.” And at a time when “many people seem to have lost control of their lives,” NuCalm is the perfect remedy, argues Poole, the visionary CEO behind the stress management technology.

“We have a tireless passion for helping people reclaim control of their lives,’ says Poole. “And we can do it with the world’s most powerful neuroscience. We have a culture of service. We don't serve for reciprocity or credit, we serve because we want to, we can, and we love to. It’s our mission and it’s our purpose and we will leave an indelible legacy on the human condition.”

NuCalm is a unique, patented technology that’s clinically proven to lower stress and improve sleep quality. It guides brain wave function reliably, safely, and effectively, with no drugs or side effects, using physics, mathematics, and algorithms in neuroacoustic software underneath music.

Poole, 55, is an accomplished business executive with extensive experience in the healthcare,

biotechnology, medical, financial services, market research, and IT industries. Since 2009 he has managed the strategic direction and ongoing operations of NuCalm, a neuroscience company with an expertise in evidence-based personalized wellness and performance.

NuCalm stands alone as a pioneer in neuroscience that provides humans with the power to change their mental state on demand, without drugs or side effects.

In July 2015, the U.S. Patent Office granted NuCalm the first and only patent for “Systems and Methods for Balancing and Maintaining the Health of the Human Autonomic Nervous System.”

In August 2021, the U.S. Patent Office granted NuCalm the first and only patent for “Methods and devices for applying dynamic, non-linear oscillations and vibrations to elicit a physiological state change in humans.”

Poole has successfully launched global products, managed growth strategies, and optimized business operations for both large and small organizations. Prior to joining NuCalm, he founded Focused Evolution, a global management strategy consulting firm.
