He was raised to be an Olympic ski jumper in France. Years later, on the other side of the world, he's a BMX rider, a commercial pilot, and a head chef, all at once. Lulu Bejot sits down with Jason and Mark on ShedLife NZ to tell the full story.He started ski jumping at 5 years old on tiny 5 metre jumps in a small village in eastern France, working his way up to 100 metre jumps before injuries broke his wrist, his back, and his season one too many times. He walked away from it all at 16.Two years later he moved alone to New Caledonia with zero English and picked up a BMX bike for the first time. After watching Jed Mildon land the first ever triple backflip, he messaged fellow rider Jayden Leeming on Facebook and moved to New Zealand to ride with him. MC Mike wasn't always behind the mic. He grew up loving fighting, training in combat sports, and living the lifestyle from the inside. But somewhere along the way he realised his voice and his passion for the game could take him somewhere and he backed himself.
Since 2023 he has announced nearly 100 fight nights across New Zealand, working his way up through King of the Ring and events all over the country, getting up close to some of the biggest names in the NZ fight game including Israel Adesanya, Carlos Ulberg, Lani Daniels, Titus Proctor and Francis Waitai.
