Live from the QuayCentre weâre joined by the versatile and deadly 3pt shooter Emma Clarke, recovering from injury. Despite being one of several starting players sidelined in a testing season for the embattled Sydney Flames who are playing their home game Semi Finals against minor premiers the Bendigo Spirit.
In this pre-game live pod Emma gives us a look into the critical role injured players have in training and giving support as the remaining squad members take the floor - play by play, quarter by quarter with only one goalâŠto fight back and win.
Hailing from Perth, Emma highlights the mindset at the core of the Flames.
Enjoy!
Result: The Bendigo Spirit defeated the Sydney Flames 91-74, in a close contest till the 4th Qtr, Spirit Coach Kennedy Kereama in the post game presser was relieved for the win, â I donât think we could have asked for a more spirited & resilient group to play againstâŠâ

In this podcast weâre joined by dual para-athlete Hannah Dodd, beginning her elite para career at age 12 and eventually competing in two sports, Equestrian and Wheelchair Basketball.
In a two decade career at the elite level Hannah realised her childhood dream in Equestrian and then went on to compete for the Gliders in Wheelchair basketball. She opens up on the inevitable struggles and experiences that has forged her steely determination as well as the richness in travelling for her sport.
As part of the historic silver medal winning Wombats squad in the first ever 3x3 Wheelchair event at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Hannah tells us about the truly rewarding experience travelling alongside the able-bodied Gangurrus (winning Bronze) âone of the awesome things about the Comm Games is that the para and the able-bodied runs concurrently.â
Listen in for the profound sentiment Hannah shares on resilience, a skill she's finely tuned as a para-athlete that has experienced and adapted to multiple re-classifications as well as the disappointment of missing a shot at the Paris Paralympics.
Itâs been a full and enriching career as a para-athlete with retirement earmarked in coming years, but not before Hannah embarks on some amazing opportunities in Europe and with the Gliders.
Enjoy!

Texas native Paige Bradley loves playing international hoops. A seasoned player who's spent her career on the international hoops circuit, including Europe, talks about the evolving Tauihi NZ League where she's played back-to-back seasons with the Southern Hoiho. Returning as guest co-host is NZ hoops expert & AUT PhD candidate Linden Moore.
We cover Paige's time playing in the Southern Hemisphere, and how itâs shaped her game and life - from the professionalism of the WNBL to the growing opportunities that both Tauihi and NBL1 provide hoopers.
While the Hoiho didn't make the final four, Paige was a standout player who consistently featured on the leader boards and MVP rankings across the regular season. We talk about the fierce competitiveness of the league this season with more imports and where literally any team can win on any given day.
