On this episode, we finish up the tragic story of Bree Larson Tanner. We also talk about Steph's apparent interest in Buffy and Fred's stinky sphere. Tangents include: tiktok, JoJo "Sawa" (Siwa), smells, Michael Scott quotes, and some great FMKs.

On this episode, we read the first half of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (in the standard paperback, that's pages 1-89). Bree was a newborn vampire from Eclipse that Stephenie Meyer just couldn't get out of her head. We like her, too!
We talk cave romance, Steph's stereotypes, "the dregs" of society, and more. Join us next time as we finish Bree's story.

In this episode, we read chapters 1-7 of Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book in the original Twilight saga. A lot happens in the first part of the book: a new car, a bachelor party, baby dreams, THE wedding, a terse reception, a steamy honeymoon (goodbye, Edge-ward Cullen), various broken bed frames, some casual racism, some casual Mormon ideology, and a shocking cliffhanger ending!
We also talk about: Pokemon, Charlie's marathon, Mary's new pup, Caitlin's colonoscopy, R-Patz' upcoming baby, Mary's wedding, Texas Roadhouse, and lots of nonsense. Thank you for submitting questions!
-
On this episode, we cover the Eclipse movie. We talk BATTLE SHCARS, Chadley (Riley), the Victoria recast, and the infamous Renee whale tail, among other moments and adaptations. Caitlin brings Twilight Thrift Corner back with a holy grail item, and Mary and Charlie once again go head to head in their assessment of the movies.

In this episode, we round out the Eclipse (EEEEEclipse) book. Edward and Victoria have their showdown (alongside Seth and Riley), the other vamps and the werewolves battle the newborns, and Bella contributes by squeezing a rock. Also Leah messes everything up, Jacob gets his bone(r)s smashed, and wedding planning is well under way.
Thank you for the fun questions! Join us in a few weeks as we cover the Eclipse movie.
-
In this episode, we review chapters 17-22 of Eclipse (EEEEEclipse). The vampires and werewolves train together to fight the newborns, the crew devises a strategy for the coming battle, Edward and Bella spend a weekend alone together (oh my), Edward went to Jared (for a fugly ring), Alice is promised wedding planning powers, Bella is c-c-c-c-cold, and we get some pre-battle snuggling.
Join us next time as we finish up the Eclipse book. Thanks, as always, for the questions and kind reviews!
-
In this episode, we read chapters 8-16 of Eclipse. Caitlin tries out some scripted jokes, and they land SO well! Newborns are on the loose in Seattle, Bella learns some Quileute lore, Jasper explains his past, Jacob assaults Bella, and the gang has a graduation rave. We think about a recast, we do some FMKs, and we look at Twilight Barbies on eBay. Thanks so much for the questions!

In this episode, we read chapters 1-8 of Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight saga. Bella and Edward visit Renee in Florida, Victoria is back on the hunt, Bella bucks against Edward's wishes to see Jacob, we learn about imprinting, and typically-icy Rosalie has a heart-to-heart with Bella about her vampire origin.
As for us hosts, Charlie (our Charlie, not Charlie Swan) introduces us to his new character: frat boy Tedward Mullen, go whales. All three of us have concerns about imprinting, and we examine the generally complex relationship dynamics within the series. Professional podcast DUPE!
-
On this episode, we cover the movie version of New Moon. It's iconic for many reasons, but specifically for, "Bella, where the hell have you been, loca?" Charlie and Mary take sides, and Caitlin acts as their mediator. One thing we can all agree on: Taylor Lautner is a treasure.
Join us next time as we begin Eclipse; we'll read the preface through chapter seven.
-
We finish up New Moon with some high action: grand theft auto, flights to Europe, a race against the clock, powerful vampires, emotional conversations, and, scariest of all, getting grounded by dad. We cover these chapters with our usual grace* and accuracy**. Join us next time as we cover the New Moon (the movie version from 2009).
*crass humor
**exaggerated summaries

The wolf action ramps up in chapters 13-18! Bella enages in one of her mosat reckless acts to date, and she doesn't realize just how close she is to true danger. She gets a welcome and overwhelming surprise, only to be followed by earth-shattering news. Join us next time as we finish up the New Moon book.
-
Bella gets intentionally reckless in these chapters. Her situationship with Jacob gets complicated, she does anything she can to hear Edward's voice, and good ol' Incel Mike makes another attempt to woo her. She also sees a vampire from her past, but not the one she so desperately wants. Join us next time for chapters 13-18.
-
New Moon, same Bella! On this episode, we begin book two of the Twilight saga: New Moon. Something unthinkable turns Bella's world upside down, and her loved ones attempt to deal with the fallout. We have fun with the material, even if it features a very morose Bella. Join us next time for chapters 7-12.
