Welcome back to SMARTcast!
Today we're investigating one of the most health-beneficial, fascinating, and frankly most overlooked aspects of how we design and inhabit our spaces: circadian lighting...the kind of light that doesn't just illuminate a room, but works in harmony with your biology.
Joining us for the first time is Chris Ramsbottom, the newest member of our SMART Technology Advisers team. Chris is a lighting design and control specialist with over 25 years in the industry, a background in electrical engineering, and a career spanning some of the most technically complex yacht and high-end residential projects around.
Our special guest is Michael Meeneghan, founder of MP Tech, who brings a remarkable journey to the conversation: from the Royal Navy to prime residential systems integration, and on into the world of superyachts. Michael's company is doing something genuinely important - bringing science-backed, health and wellbeing lighting design to both the marine and residential worlds, for owners, guests, and crew alike.
With Chris's technical rigour and Michael's hands-on experience at sea and ashore, it's a brilliant conversation.
Enjoy!

Daniel leads Crestron's global marine division, overseeing what he calls their "floating projects" - ensuring every yacht installation lives up to the brand's promise of simplicity, reliability, and elegance. But his role goes beyond delivery. He's also the eyes and ears of the yachting world for Crestron's R&D and product teams, translating what superyacht owners and crews will need tomorrow into the innovations Crestron builds today. Enjoy.
