Conversations about justice, faith, and action. Host, Laura Hunter, sees acting for social change as a spiritual practice. She talks to people who are working for justice, love, and peace in their neighbourhoods and around the world. Together they make sense and meaning of what we do in and through and around communities of faith. This podcast is created primarily for and with those interested in the Justice, Mission and Outreach networks of the Atlantic Regions of the United Church of Canada. But more importantly as a way for connecting people, community, good works, and good ideas. If these things are important to you join Laura and her guests as they reflect on the spiritual journey of Making Hope Visible.

What does it mean to truly find rest?
Jesus tells us that he "will give us rest." But what does that look like in a society marked by increasing rates of overcommitment and burnout? Too many of us have built unhealthy cycles of rest, striving and straining against God's intent for our lives.
In Finding Soul Rest, Curtis Zackery provides a practical guide to finding the deep soul rest that Jesus promises. And it all centers around renewing and restoring our relationship with Christ. This thoughtful devotional on rest calls us to the intentional work of self-examination, helping us move toward a purposeful and sustainable life with Jesus. -

The River is a weekly, mid-week worship night. The purpose of The River is to provide an opportunity for people of all denominations, backgrounds, and age groups to have an all-out, powerful worship experience in the presence of the Holy Spirit and fellow believers.
What should you expect on a Tuesday night? The second you step into our venue, you'll be greeted by our Experience team. They'll help you find a seat or help you find anyone you're meeting. We typically do 8 to 9 modern worship songs with a full production. We have a Spotify playlist too in case you want to familiarize yourself with some of the songs! We also spend about 30 minutes in the Word of God.
The River is not meant to replace church. We believe you should get rooted in a strong Sunday community. If you don't have a home church, let us know! We'll get you connected.
Join us any Tuesday night at 7:30pm. There's a seat for you. And of course, things will get loud! -
