I keep having to remind myself that two things can be true at once. I can be terrified of my future and be so excited for this new adventure. Both are valid and both are SO real.
Iām someone who loves breaking the social norms, but that doesnāt mean itās been easy. Iāve learned that when I trust myself, things always work out. My inner voice has been speaking to me a lot lately and itās time I listen to that voice.
This doesnāt mean itās going to be easy. Change isnāt easy. But change can be so necessary to not only live life, but to love life.
We have to stop letting other peoplesā opinions be outspoken by our inner voice. Give that voice a platform! Listen to yourself, trust yourself. Join me while I navigate for myself what that looks like.

Often when we hear the word ātraumaā we think the worst of the worst, and rightfully so. But what if I told you that it isnāt always the obvious that affects us day-to-day? Despite how great or bad our childhood is, itās likely we all carry some wounds into our adult life. These wounds are a big part of why we are the way we are. Sometimes we don't even recognize these wounds because weāve held them for so long.
Now, as an adult, itās your job to reach back to little you, and guide them through those wounds. Start by asking yourself, āWhere does this [adult] behavior of mine stem from?ā
Join me this week in the beginning steps of identifying our wounds as we start to heal that little part of us.

This week, I am joined by my long-time friend and fellow therapist, Kate from Soulful Space Coaching. Kate and I talk about the concept of spring cleaning and how the spring is often a time of renewal and growth, but we can be taking inventory on the areas of our life that may need a bit of a decluttering year-round.
Letting go of the things that no longer align, no longer serve you, and no longer add value to your lives will help you take those steps forward and break out of the physical, and emotional , clutter holding you back.

You never realize how much stuff you have until youāre faced with getting rid of it all. Let me introduce you toā¦ The Swedish Death Cleanse.
Itās not as scary as it soundsā¦ well, it sorta is..
From when we move out on our own to our later adult years, we go through the stages of accumulating newer and nicer things. Now Iām learning how to part ways with those things that I grew a huge attachment to. I definitely didnāt realize that my stuff held so much of my happiness. But what Iāve learned is, none of these things come with us.
So Iām on the path of decluttering my life and my soul. The Swedish Death Cleanse isnāt just for the people getting rid of everything. Weāre all on our individual paths and we have to find what works for us.
This is me and this is happening now. Follow along with all the ups and downs of this new path, as I keep figuring it out along the way.

Every vacation seems to feel a little life-changing. But let me tell you, this one did not fall short...
We decided to take a trip somewhere we had never been. And now... weāre ready to call that place home.
I talked last week about not being ready to die. And Iām not! But I needed to figure out what 'living' meant for me now. If we feel like we arenāt living to our potential where we are, why do why stay there? Seriously, think about this, figuratively and literally.
Sometimes life speaks to you so clearly that you canāt ignore the message.
This is a new beginning for me. Iām starting a journey of letting go of āthingsā that feel like they hold me back.
So if you're feeling like maybe itās time for you to let go of something too.. I invite you to join me for this new adventure š¤

Soā¦ as we wrap up Season One here on the Soul via Sole podcast, I wanted to take a moment to be open, raw, and give you a bit of insight to whatās to come in Season Two.

We all know the things we should be doing in order to ābeā healthierā¦right? Eat better, move our bodies, take some time to rest, etc. But what Iāve found in my years as a medical and mental health professional, is the common underlying cause of āwhyā we struggle and the one thing that continues to stand in the wayā¦ our worth.
Seems simple right? Love yourself first, and the rest will fall into place. But truly loving yourself, and valuing your worth often comes with itās fair share of inner child work, removing limiting beliefs, and spending time reconnecting to your inner you and your deepest desires.
Join me this week as we chat a bit more about how the way you view yourself can get in the way of every health and wellness goal you are trying to achieve.

Loving ourselves is the cornerstone for cultivating and attracting healthy love in our lives.
I, personally, took the the long-way around to get to this point in my life. And while Iām grateful for the lessons learned, so much of what I teach today is stuff I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to save her from years of having to undo layers of self-doubt, limiting beliefs, self-sabotaging behaviors and feelings of unworthiness.
Join me this Valentineās Day as we chat about the importance of self-love in cultivating healthy relationships.

We donāt often talk about self-love and wellness in the same breath. Why is that?
Why do we often focus more on the exterior signs of āhealthyā and āwellā while overlooking the check-engine lights going off inside our bodies?
Self love is, in my opinion, the root of establishing true health and wellness.
Join me this week as we chat about the connection between health, wellness, and self-love.
