We are delighted to share the production for Sound Of Scripts Monthly FREE SCENE competition. The winner for March 2023 was Kaitlin Gagnon and her film, NEIGHBORLY. Logline: Home, unemployed, and pregnant with hyperemesis, Julie grows obsessed with her neighbors' antics, determined to protect the life of her unborn child.Set up: We are nearing the script’s climax with this scene. For context, Julie has been locked in a communal basement and confronts the two neighbors she believes are to blame. Adam has just arrived home to find her outside, mid-argument and bleeding profusely (after smashing a window to escape). During this scene, Julie convinces Adam to move and agrees to stop spying on the neighbors as a compromise. Full of optimistic hope, just days before their anticipated move, Julie and the baby are violently attacked in the apartment. The cost is greater than anyone could have imagined. You can find more about Neighborly and Kaitlin here: https://writers.coverfly.com/projects...
