In this episode Sean and JJ tackle the fantasy football potential of the AFC North.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson leads the Baltimore Ravens and looks to improve upon his 10th place finish among fantasy QBâs last year. JK Dobbins will be getting a bigger workload in his second year as the primary running back, but Lamar Jackson is a threat to his fantasy production. Marquise âHollywoodâ Brown is the only fantasy viable wide receiver for the Ravens, but even he will struggle in this run heavy offense. Mark Andrews will continue to be a top-tier tight end in fantasy as the second receiving option behind Brown.
The Cincinnati Bengals are led by Joe Burrow, who returns from a gruesome injury that derailed his phenomenal rookie season last year. He has a very talented wide receiver group, that includes Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and rookie JaâMarr Chase. Joe Mixon will be the unquestionable workhorse running back for the Bengals this year and is primed for a great season.
The Cleveland Browns and quarterback Baker âThe Muffin Manâ Mayfield look to improve upon their passing game with stellar wideouts Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry this year. But thereâs no need to press it when you have the best running back tandem in the NFL with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, a potent one two punch.
Big Ben Roethlisberger and the potent Pittsburgh Steelers offense have plenty of viable fantasy football starters. Rookie running back Najee Harris looks great in the running and passing game and can crack the top-10 this year. Then you have three extremely talented wide receivers who could all be in the top-25 by the end of the year, again. Juju Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and Chase Claypool all had over 100 targets and all had over 800 yards receiving last year.

In this episode Sean and JJ tackle the fantasy football potential of the AFC South.
The Houston Texans are still dealing with the Deshaun Watson saga heading into the season. Tyrod Taylor and rookie Davis Mills will be vying for the starting quarterback spot if Watson doesnât play. Wide receiver Brandin Cooks may regress without Deshaun. There are no other draftable WRâs and youâre avoiding tight end Jordan Akins. The Texans may have to lean on the running game, but the backfield is crowded with David Johnson, Philip Lindsay, and Mark Ingram.
The Indianapolis Colts are suddenly dealing with an injury to Carson Wentz, which opens the door for Jacob Eason. TY Hilton is still the leading wideout, but finished outside the top-40 of WRâs last year. Running back Jonathan Taylor looks to outperform his 6th overall finish from last year as a rookie, and Nyheim Hines is a fantastic flex draft as a receiving running back who finished in the top-20 last year. You should avoid drafting TEâs Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox due to their time share.
The highly touted rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be leading the Jacksonville Jaguars this year. Rookie running back Travis Etienne rejoins Lawrence from Clemson, but James Robinson is still the lead back after finishing 7th overall last year. Marvin Jones Jr joins the team as the number one wide receiver, and DJ Chark Jr looks to build rapport with Trevor as the number two. Tight end Tim Tebow, it was fun while it lasted, just got released by the Jags, which opens the door for Chris Manhertz to shine.
The Tennessee Titans are THE best team in the AFC South. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has proven to be an elite and reliable fantasy QB, finishing 9th overall last year. Running back Derrick Henry is a lock to be top-5 amongst RBâs. The Titans added wide receiver Julio Jones to the roster, who will have a great year as long as he avoids injury. AJ Brown looks to improve on his 14th overall finish from last year. TE Anthony Firkser is a fantasy sleeper this year with the departure of Jonnu Smith.

In this episode Sean and JJ discuss the fantasy football potential of the AFC East.
The Buffalo Bills enter the NFL season as THE team to beat in the AFC East. Josh Allen was THE best fantasy quarterback last year and tries to replicate that performance in 2021. Stefon Diggs was the 3rd overall WR last year and led the NFL in yards and receptions. Cole Beasley is the second receiving option for the Bills, finishing 27th last year. JJ says avoid drafting Devin Singletary and Zach Moss. Sean tries to make a case for them, compared drafting them to dating a pair of sisters just in case of an unfortunate death.
Tua Tagovailoa returns as the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. He needs to improve a lot from last year for this team to have any viable fantasy football contributors. Case in point, Davante Parker, the number one wide receiver for this team finished 40th last year. Do not draft any Dolphin WRâs this year. Tight end Mike Gesicki, the 7th overall TE last year in fantasy is the only draftable pass catcher on this team, and the only draftable TE in the AFC East. Running back Myles Gaskin was a bright spot last year and looks to improve from his 24th overall finish last year.
The New England Patriots players should be avoided like the plague with Cam Newton and Mac Jones competing for the starting QB job. The backfield, as always, is crowded in NE with Damien Harris, Sony Michel, and James White. James White will be the most sought after fantasy football producer on this team as a pass catching PPR beast. Nelson Agholor is New Englandâs top wideout, but will be lack luster with sub-par QB play. Newly added TEâs Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith are talented, but will be eating into each otherâs fantasy production too much to draft them on your team.
The New York Jets have a young and talented roster led by rookie QB Zach Wilson. They added veteran WR Corey Davis to be Zachâs number one target, draft him. Take a flyer on rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore as he looks to outperform veteran Jamison Crowder this year. And rookie running back Michael Carter will steal the starting job from Tevin Coleman by mid-season.

In this episode Sean and JJ head out to where the sun sets and mine the rich fantasy football hills of the AFC West.
The fellas discuss the Kansas City Chiefs and dive deep into Patrick Mahomes, THE best QB in the NFL, no prenup necessary. Tyreek Hill looks to dominate again this year as top-tier wide receiver. Travis Kelce is THE best tight end in the NFL and should be drafted ahead of Tyreek Hill, if given the option. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a smaller running back and should be drafted as a RB2 or flex, not as your RB1.
JJ plays marry/screw/kill with the Denver Broncos. They brought in Teddy Bridgewater to compete with the up and coming Drew Lock, who looks to build off last year. They have a young stud-filled WR group with Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy, two top-50 WRâs last year, and Courtland Sutton returns. Melvin Gordon returns as the lead running back, but rookie Javonte Williams looks to carve out a role for himself. Noah Fant is a fringe starting TE due to the competition for targets with the talented WR group around him.
The Las Vegas Raiders look to win in the city of sin. Sean hates on Derek Carr, who is a fringe starting QB in fantasy football, due to past experiences. Newly added John Brown looks to lead their wide receiver core, with Henry Ruggs and Hunter Renfrow lurking in the shadows. Darren Waller has proven himself to be an elite tight end, draft him as such. Josh Jacobs, the starting running back, may be pushed by Kenyan Drake for touches going forward.
Get yourself two scoops of the starting quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers Justin âSherbertâ Herbert. Keenan Allen is the only wide receiver youâre drafting in your fantasy football leagues this year from this team. Austin Ekeler is a clear RB1, proven by his ability to finish 26th overall last year, only playing in ten games. JJ tries his hardest to make a case for TE Jared Cook, who replaces the recently departed Hunter Henry. Can he do it?

In this episode Sean and JJ take you on a journey through the fantasy football implications of the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott look towards the future after signing a long-term deal. Ezekiel Elliot looks to bounce back after an awful finish to his 2020 campaign. Tony Pollard is THE best RB handcuff in the NFL. Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup look to repeat as one of the best wide receiver trio in the NFL. The New York football Giants are looking to improve this season with Daniel Jones still at the helm. Saquon Barkley looks to avoid the injury bug and reclaim his spot as the best running back in the NFL. Kenny Golladay joins the WR fray to try and improve the passing game. Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton will try to become fantasy relevant again. Can Kadarius Toney make a splash as a rookie? Evan Engram has unquestionable raw talent, but has struggled as a viable starting TE week in and week out. Jalen Hurts looks to soar with the Philadelphia Eagles in his second year. Rookie Heisman trophy winner Davonta Smith hopes to reconnect with Hurts as they did in Alabama. Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham are not fantasy relevant. Can Zach Ertz become an elite TE again with Dallas Goedert playing so well? Miles Sanders is a stud, youâd be lucky to get him as your RB2. Ryan Fitzpatrick looks to keep the magic going with the Washington Football Team, formerly known as the Redskins. He will be slinging the ball to the up and coming superstar Terry McLaurin. Curtis Samuel could be in for a decent year as the second option. Logan Thomas is a top-5 TE. Antonio Gibson was a beast last year as a rookie and looks to improve this year.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/spaft-channel/support

In this episode Sean and JJ tackle the NFC West. The fellas discuss the super sexiness of the Seattle Seahawksâ Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett. Then they talk about the creamy hamstrings of Gerald Everett, and Chris Carson is an RB2. The San Francisco 49ers still have Jimmy Garoppolo the glass menagerie, Sean is avoiding Brandon Aiyuk, but targeting Deebo Samuel for grandmas chain, and George Kittle is a TE1 obviously. Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr lead the crowded backfield in San Fran, but the rookie Trey Sermon looks to carve out a spot for himself. Trey Lance wonât start unless Jimmy G gets injured. The Arizona Cardinalsâ Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are an unstoppable connection, AJ Green joins the team, Christian Kirk is draft-able but not start-able. James Conner will be battling with Chase Edmonds for the starting RB position. The LA Rams added Matthew Stafford to throw to Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Tyler Higbee is the undisputed TE after Gerald Everett leaves. This episode was recorded before Cam Akers' unfortunate torn Achilles. This thrusts Darrell Henderson Jr to RB1 status, as of now.
