On the 18th of July 2017, my Dad passed away quite suddenly. It was very unexpected and I've come to realise that I wasn't very well equipped to deal with loss.
I'm still on the journey of processing my grief, but one thing that's been really helpful is talking to people. I didn't quite know this, but most of us have lost someone or something that we love. It might be a person, a career, a dream, a prized possession, or something else.
On this podcast I talk to people about their experience of loss because maybe someone might hear the conversation, and be able to relate to it. It might not make the pain go away, but it's pretty cool to know we're not alone.

Being a mom is hard work. It's messy and imperfect - a constant guessing game to "get it all right" to ensure you're not totally messing up your kids. Then throw in growing a business, working full time, and making sure your health is taken care of so you can actually ENJOY those children. It's exhausting sometimes. But God has bigger plans for us moms, and in this podcast, Nickilee (The Healthy Happy Mommy) takes you through her struggles in her own health and how she healed herself, work life, mompreneurship, and figuring out how to flourish as a mother and wife all while honoring God by putting Him at the center of it.
Tune in weekly for solo and interview based episodes for encouragement, laughs, tips, and real life stuff that is biblically and scripturally centered. -
