This week meet Reiki! She's a super cute 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix who came to CHS from local animal control. She's a shy girl, but once she warms up to you she's super playful and cuddly. It'll be important for her new family to be nice and patient with her.
Here are some more specifics about the type of home she should go to:
~ I have not had much experience with children but am willing to consider sharing my home with kids who can be gentle and respectful of pets.
~ I have not had much experience with cats or dogs but am willing to consider sharing my home with a furry friend.
~ I am a quiet and reserved kitty. I would prefer a peaceful home.

Every Thursday Connecticut Humane Society joins the show to tell us about another pet that needs a home.
This week meet Kai, the adorable 6-month-old domestic shorthair kitten who’s ready to find her forever family. This little black beauty may be a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.
Kai came to Connecticut Humane Society from another local rescue and is now on the lookout for a special home where she can feel safe, loved, and cared for. She’ll thrive best in an adult-only household, where she can take things at her own pace and build trust in her own time.
One of Kai’s biggest needs is having another confident cat in the home to help her adjust and show her the ropes. With a feline friend by her side, she’ll feel more comfortable and start to open up faster. And once Kai feels at home, she’s going to be the most affectionate, cuddly kitten you could ask for!
Are you the one who can give Kai the quiet, loving home she deserves? If so, get in touch with us today to meet this sweet girl. We promise you, once she warms up to you, she’s going to be an amazing companion! -
