As the guard shift change approached, the quartet saw their chance. With Odessa’s sly tongue leading the way, they enticed the two Deep Gnome prisoners, Topsy and Turvy, into a loud, chaotic argument. The noise quickly drew the attention of the arrogant Prince Shorendil. Enraged by the noise, the elven prince stormed over and attacked the gnomes - exactly as planned. The guards simply watched, amused, offering no interference.
In the distraction, Bast smashed his empty rum bottle and fashioned a crude shiv. With a quick, clever twist, he sprang at the prince. The sound alerted the guards and the lock on their cell door was opened.
Freedom beckoned.

The fog in Barovia never really lifts.
It just waits - patient, thick, curling around lanterns like fingers that haven’t decided whether to grip or let go.
In the village square, under the crooked eaves of a tavern that has seen too many endings, a figure steps from shadow with a small chest. Ancient coins clink softly. A voice, quiet and almost human, says only, “For services rendered.” Another figure meets his gaze, fingers brushing a mark on his wrist. “I remember the Pact.” A single nod. A flicker of something that might have been warmth.
No time for breath.
High above Ravenloft’s broken spire, crimson wings still carve slow circles against the stars. The Sovereign hasn’t left. It waits.
The party marches back through woods that remember every scream. Resolve sits heavy in their chests like iron. At the castle’s shattered ramparts, one steps forward into the wind. His voice cuts clean: “Subjugation or death. Choose.”
Laughter rolls like distant thunder.
The answer comes in fire and claw.
The sky becomes a battlefield.
Arcane bolts crack across scales older than kingdoms.
Divine light streaks like holy comets, burning through wing and hide.
A dragonborn launches upward - wings beating, roar shaking stone - grappling the beast mid-flight.
Massive blows land.
Critical strikes ring like bells across the night.
The dragon twists, dives, plummets.
A rider clings, blade and fang driving deep.
Freefall.
Impact.
Dust and blood explode outward.
A single fang is torn free, held high against the moon, a roar of triumph splitting the silence.
The Crimson Sovereign crashes.
Wings fold.
Breath stops.
Ravenloft stands quiet - truly quiet - for the first time in centuries.
The party stands amid broken stone and cooling scales, chests heaving, adrenaline still singing in their veins.
The eternal night feels… lighter.
A curse broken.
A tyrant gone.
A dragon slain.
The land itself seems to exhale.
One plants the fang like a banner.
Another lets moonlight touch skin without flinching for the first time in too long.
Another smiles at a faithful steed that nuzzles close.
Whatever waits beyond - new roads, new shadows, new legends - their story is sealed in fire and blood and unbreakable will.
But the mists never truly clear.
And endings in Barovia are rarely clean.
Steel & Sorcery delivers its most thunderous, heart-pounding finale yet.
A dragon falls.
A pact is remembered.
A land begins to breathe again.
What new threats rise when the old ones fall?
Does a remembered debt ever truly stay paid?
Where do heroes go when the darkness they fought has been conquered?
This is the episode you’ve been waiting for.
The castle is silent.
The Sovereign is gone.
And the legend is only beginning.
Don’t miss the fall.
Grab your earbuds.
Turn up the volume.
The mists are listening… and they’re proud.

The sun sinks low, bleeding gold across rooftops that still remember fire and fear.
Vallaki breathes again - quiet streets, flickering lanterns, voices rising in tentative celebration - but the sky won’t let anyone forget.
High above, something massive circles a distant spire, wings carving slow, patient arcs through the clouds.
The Crimson Sovereign hasn’t left.
It waits.
In a temple’s dim glow, candle flames lean toward two relics pulled from a nightmare’s grasp.
Fabric that shimmers and shifts, making edges uncertain.
A blade that hums low, hungry, tasting of frost and finality.Fingers trace runes; a voice whispers warning.
“These will change the odds… but only if you survive what comes next.”
Boots crunch over leaves that sound too much like brittle memories.
The path winds toward a village that has seen too many endings - gates looming ahead, lanterns flickering like eyes peering through cracked shutters.
Something watches from within.
Something remembers.
This is no longer a flight for survival.
This is the slow, deliberate turn toward the final confrontation.
Two new treasures pulse with borrowed power - one that cheats sight, one that feeds on endings.
Old faces may wait in shadowed streets.
Old traps may wait in quiet alleys.
And far above, crimson wings beat in rhythm with every heartbeat below.
Steel & Sorcery edges toward its most primal reckoning.
What hides in the village that refuses to stay quiet?
How do a cloak that blurs reality and a blade that drinks life tip the scales against a creature born of sky and fire?
What last secrets still cling to the ruins of Ravenloft?
The spire calls.
The dragon waits.
The end of the road has teeth.
Don’t miss this one.
Light a lantern.
Turn up the sound.
The mists are thinning… and what comes next will burn.

The fog in Barovia never truly lifts - it just waits.
And sometimes, when you least expect it, it parts just enough to show you something you thought was buried forever.
The party descends into the castle’s oldest wounds: cold stone corridors where torchlight barely dares to reach. Dust hangs suspended, time feels thin, and every echo lands like a warning. One companion storms ahead, restless and ready, slamming fists against a wall that refuses to yield.
He names it.
He threatens it.
He glares at it like it personally owes him money.
The wall doesn’t blink.
Nearby, two others settle into the absurd normalcy of a card game - Piles - laughter cutting through the gloom like a blade. Bets are made. Tongues are stuck out. And then, in a heartbeat, one steps forward… and simply passes through the impossible barrier as if it were smoke.
On the other side: ruins of a place that shouldn’t exist. Two strangers. And one face from the past - someone thought long gone, now standing in the half-light of another world.
The moment that name is spoken, everything shifts. A snarl. A storm of footsteps retreating. The group fractures, drawn in different directions by old wounds and older loyalties.
They slip from the castle under cover of magic and shadow, a crimson shape wheeling high overhead, unseen but felt. The dragon’s wings carve silence from the sky.
Back in Vallaki, firelight dances on Dragonborn scales. A voice rises - loud, proud, carrying news that should end a nightmare. Cheers erupt.
But not everyone steps into the light. Some retreat to the edges, where the sun can’t reach.
Bellies growl. Plans are whispered. Eyes turn toward a distant spire where something ancient still circles, patient and hungry.
Steel & Sorcery returns to the quiet after the storm… but the storm isn’t finished. Old friends resurface. Old grudges stir. And something massive waits in the sky, watching, waiting for the next move.
What lies on the other side of that wall? Can past promises survive present pain? Will the survivors of Vallaki finally breathe free… or is the real fight only beginning?
This is the episode where everything you thought was settled starts to crack open again.
The fog is listening. The dragon is circling. And the story refuses to stay buried.
Don’t miss it. Light a candle. Turn up the sound. The mists are calling you back in.
