He became the first person to run the full length of Africa—10,000 miles in 352 days—but just after day 100, Russ Cook, aka the Hardest Geezer, faced the toughest challenge of his life. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russ found himself running through chaos, dodging violence, and literally outrunning men armed with machetes. In this moment, the fasting and hormone expert, Dr Mindy Pelz discusses how your body can show your liver health.
Mindy says that there are simple ways that you can check how well your liver is function by looking at your eyes, feet and tongue.
She says that If the corner of your eye is yellow it can show liver stagnation, which means that the liver will struggle to metabolise toxins like alcohol. Equally, if the bottom of your feet are dry and cracking, it shows there is not proper circulation and your liver is struggling to detox.
Mindy says that some of the core reasons for this poor liver function is a lack of minerals and proper nutrients. However, this can be turned around with a mixture of fasting and getting in the right fruits and vegetables.

This includes assessing the tone and pitch of your voice to see if any changes could lead to gaining more respect. The same principle applies to self-assessments of your contributions in the workplace, as Evy emphasises that people who speak too much often lose respect in the workplace while those who provide meaningful insight gain in. Evy also recommends addressing signs of disrespect straight away rather than avoiding the situation. Although difficult conversations may be uncomfortable, they can ultimately strengthen relationships and improve future interactions.

In this moment, professor and neuroscientist, Wendy Suzuki outlines how to destroy your brain.
Many of the ways to wreck your brain health are obvious, such as poor sleep, smoking, eating a processed diet and no exercise. However, some brain damaging habit are more subtle, including not learning and using social media.
Wendy says that the increased use of social media is a massive concern for how it will impact the younger generation. This is because their brains aren’t getting the benefits of real social connection and can suffer from increases in depression and anxiety, leading to the release of stress hormones which damage the brains cells and connections.
