Let's talk about relationships and intimacy during a surrogacy journey. There is a time in a journey when abstinence is usually required and it could last longer if you are carrying multiples or put on bed rest.
While we surrogates may be the ones going through the process and taking a lot on with being pregnant and still trying to do all the super mom things of cleaning, laundry, etc. There may come a time when we need to ask for help. OH MY WORD WHAT!? I know that is something the majority of us have a hard time acknowledging and accepting, but it's okay to ask.
We all hope never to have to ask, but a journey is a mystery and we never know what will happen. We dive into talking about how it feels to release some of our duties to our partners and how our partners feel watching us go through the highs, the lows, and the in-between on these journeys.
This is definitely a great podcast for partners to listen in on to get some information, especially if this is their first journey.

This week is a bit different. My two close friends and I have been on a 2 year journey, which isn’t the norm for surrogates.
We were all talking and thought maybe we should address what it’s really like to be on such a long, emotionally tiring journey. Each of us has a different reason/path as to why it is taking so long and we talk about how the emotional rollercoaster has been.
We all address some stigmas that we can say with 100% certainty are not true!
Please know if you’re a first time surrogate this is not the norm, but it is possible to take this long. 2 years of all our lives have been put on hold and yet we still are pushing forward wanting so much to help someone have a baby. 💕

Meet Alex a 2x surrogate. She shares her journeys and how much she loved her first journey, that she wanted to start her second journey almost immediately! However, she didn’t expect her second journey to be so wildly different than her first.
Alex also explains how she handled the ups and downs and ultimately came to accept that journey #2 was her final journey.
If you are feeling alone or struggling to cope with things you have encountered in your journey, first please know that you are not alone! So many of us surrogates go through things in the dark and we shouldn’t have to. Please feel free to reach out to us or any surrogate you know, I guarantee you that one of us knows someone going through something similar that can help. Secondly, don’t be afraid to reach out to your agency or the psychologist you interviewed with for this journey. These people are in place to help you. 💕

SEAM is a surrogacy escrow company and the owner is nowhere to be found, possibly along with all the money IPs have invested.
Anna Marie is just one of hundreds of people affected by this tragic event. The whereabouts of Intended Parent’s money is the biggest question of all! Surrogate’s compensations have come to a screeching halt.
Agencies are not at fault, and lawyers are doing all they can to help.
