Walter Clayton scored 34 points with five 3-pointers, giving Florida the Final Four win over SEC rival Auburn 79-73 in the Final Four on Saturday night. Chad Baker-Mazara, with his left hand partially wrapped because of a thumb issue, led Auburn with 18 points and four 3-pointers. Johni Broome finished with 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting and had seven rebounds, with only three points after halftime. Broome was hunched over even before the final buzzer, and then was surrounded by cameras to capture his reaction. He eventually stood up to shake hands, then walked off the court with his eyes red from crying, pulling up his jersey to wipe his face as cameras continued to follow his exit. Truly a historic season for this Auburn program. Vince Wolfram and Jojo Cavanagh are in San Antonio to cover this team, this game, and the season Auburn basketball just put a bow on.

The Tigers, with a “miracle in Atlanta, defeated Tom Izzo and the two-seed Michigan State Spartans 70-64 on Sunday night behind a tournament-defying game from Johni Broome. With a dominant first half, a gruesome injury in the second half, and a return to the game that no Auburn fan will forget, Johni Broome helped lift his team to victory and to history. The Tigers take to San Antonio for the Final Four and will be competing against the 1-seed from the West region, the Florida Gators. An SEC Final Four with championship aspirations on the line! Auburn advances to play Michigan State with a berth in the Final Four on the line. Johni Broome finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds, Tahaad Pettiford hit a couple of crazy shots while Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara were on the bench in foul trouble, and Denver Jones came up huge with three straight baskets midway through the second half, helping Auburn regain the lead and never look back. Auburn East represented in a major way in Atlanta, as were Vince Wolfram and Jojo Cavanagh.

In the second round of the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the overall number one seed Auburn Tigers defeated the nine seed Creighton Bluejays 82-70. Tahaad Pettiford was the difference off the bench for Auburn, along with the “Night-Night” celebration and dagger from Denver Jones in the second half. Chad Baker-Mazara was absolutely a large proponent of the offense, with those three guys each scoring in double-figures. Auburn moves on to the second weekend of the tournament, the Sweet 16, for the first time since its final four run in 2019. The Tigers are set to face 5-seed Michigan, and Vince Wolfram and Jojo Cavanagh are here to break it all down!

Auburn is sticking around this NCAA Tournament longer than last year, even if the Tigers didn't play with the energy coach Bruce Pearl wants to see. Miles Kelly made seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points, All-American Johni Broome added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 1 seed Auburn beat 16th-seeded Alabama State 83-63 on Thursday in the first round of the South Region. Vince Wolfram was at the game in Lexington at Rupp Arena and Jojo Cavanagh was tuned in from Auburn.

The weekend in Nashville didn’t quite go as expected for many Auburn fans. Auburn, the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, got bounced by the Tennessee Volunteers in the semifinals on Saturday. After a win over Ole Miss in a Johni Broome-led victory on Friday, the Tigers and Broome tried to rally on Saturday in a similar fashion but came up short. In his Neville Arena finale, All-American Johni Broome scored a career-high 34 points, but Mark Sears beat the buzzer with a jumper from the free-throw line to give No. 7 Alabama a 93-91 win Saturday on Senior Day at Neville Arena.Broome showed why he is a leading national player of the year candidate, adding eight rebounds, five blocked shots, three steals and three assists in 43 minutes. Next for Auburn, the SEC tournament in Nashville. The Tigers begin play on Friday at 1pm in the Quarterfinal.

Marching toward a championship, No. 1 Auburn erased decades of big blue disappointment, defeating No. 17 Kentucky 94-78 Saturday, the Tigers’ first win at Rupp Arena since 1988. Miles Kelly made nine 3-pointers and led Auburn with 30 points, helping the Tigers clinch the Southeastern Conference title while improving to 8-0 in SEC road games. Johni Broome scored 24 points, Chad Baker-Mazara added 22 and No. 1 Auburn beat Ole Miss, 106-76. After weeks of inconsistent shooting at home, Auburn sunk 11 of 21 attempts from 3-point range. The game started with a 3 from Baker-Mazara and was backed by plenty more from Miles Kelly and Denver Jones. Johni Broome scored a season-high 31 points and added 14 rebounds as No. 1 Auburn defeated Georgia 82-70 on Saturday. For the second straight game, Auburn (25-2, 13-1 SEC) found itself in a tight contest against an unranked opponent before pulling away in the final minutes. Broome took over in the second half, including a run of seven straight points for the Tigers. The double-double was his 17th of the season. Auburn hosts No. 24 Ole Miss on Wednesday.

Johni Broome logged a double-double and No. 1 Auburn ended the game on a 10-2 run to defeat Arkansas 67-60 Wednesday at Neville Arena. Coach John Calipari made his first appearance in Neville Arena as the Razorbacks head coach, but Bruce Pearl emerged victorious in the end. There was plenty of trash talk, tension in the air, and energy in the building for this one, and Vince Wolfram and Jojo Cavanagh had a front row perspective of it all!

No. 1 Auburn celebrated its latest history-making milestone—a 94-85 victory over No. 2 Alabama on Saturday at Coleman Coliseum—in a game the Tigers never trailed. Vince Wolfram was in Tuscaloosa covering the matchup, while Jojo Cavanagh was in the middle of the victorious scene in Auburn, and together, they brought it all!

No. 1 Auburn started fast but No. 6 Florida broke open a close game late in the first half and made 13 3-pointers to win 90-81 Saturday at Neville Arena, ending the Tigers’ 14-game winning streak. Miles Kelly led Auburn with 22 points and Johni Broome registered a double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and team-best six assists. Walter Clayton Jr. led five Gators in double figures, scoring 19 points while adding nine assists and six rebounds. Next for Auburn, a trip to Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Tuesday evening.
