One of many prominent guest of this year's Light Leaks Festival in Luxembourg was Richard Kalvar, an American photographer known for his street photography and unique artistic style. Based in New York City, Kalvar has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1977. His work often features humorous and thought-provoking moments captured in everyday life, showcasing his keen observational skills and ability to find beauty in the ordinary. Pour l'introduction: NĂ© au Luxembourg en 1976, Marc Wilwert est un photographe dont les Ćuvres sont imprĂ©gnĂ©es du concept de lumiĂšre, explorant ses effets physiques, son symbolisme, ainsi que ses implications culturelles et mĂ©taphotographiques. AprĂšs avoir dĂ©crochĂ© son diplĂŽme en photographie Ă l'Institut SupĂ©rieur des Beaux-Arts Saint-Luc LiĂšge, il a approfondi ses compĂ©tences lors d'une formation professionnelle d'un an au London College of Printing. Ses sĂ©ries majeures telles que "Nuit Blanche", "Chemins de Fraude", "Etre e(s)t paraĂźtre", "Anges", "Illuminances", "Twilight", "Zero Sun" et "Memento" ont Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ©es dans diverses galeries et institutions, notamment la Galerie Clairefontaine, la Galerie d'Art Armand Gaasch et le Cercle CitĂ© au Luxembourg, ainsi que la Biennale internationale de la photographie et des arts visuels BIP 2010 en Belgique. Certaines de ses Ćuvres sont Ă©galement conservĂ©es dans les archives du CNA (Centre National de l'Audiovisuel) au Luxembourg. Samuel Lintaro Hopf is a freelance photographer and filmmaker from Hamburg, Germany.
Born in 1988 in Kamakura, Japan, he discovered his love of photography at the age of thirteen, when he started experimenting with his parents' VHS camcorder and film camera. After graduating from the Hamburg Academy of Design with a degree in communication design in 2012, he pursued a career as a freelance photojournalist and cinematographer, working with advertising agencies and eventually founding his own video production company in 2017.
He is being represented by Germany's prestigious photo agency VISUM.International Member of GRist Family
