In this episode I am sharing about why I turned my pain into podcasting, not because it was easy, but because it was necessary.
This journey was built through everyday struggles, quiet battles, and moments that often felt too heavy to carry. It was not something many could fully understand⊠except a mother who has walked through similar pain.
Motherhood has a way of testing you in ways nothing else can. It stretches you, breaks you, and slowly rebuilds you stronger, deeper, and more resilient.
This podcast is born from those real moments.
It is a space where pain finds purpose, where struggles are shared, and where mothers feel seen, heard, and understood." Sometimes, only a mother truly understands another Motherâs journey."

In this episode, we dive into the deliciously magical world of Bakery Boulevard: Tales from Yummville by Gold Shibi. This story turns baking into an exciting science adventure for children. Together with Ayo and Oma, we uncover the secrets behind what makes cakes rise, why cookies turn golden brown, and how the Maillard reaction brings magic to every bite.
But beyond the science, this episode celebrates something deeperâthe joy of cooking with children, the power of storytelling, and the beautiful bond between a mother and her child. If youâre a parent looking to make learning fun, meaningful, and memorable, this episode is for you.

In this enchanting episode, we explore Taste Trail: Tales from Yummville by mother-author Gold Shibi, a heartfelt creation born from the love of cooking and exploring flavors with children. This story doesnât lecture kids about foodâit invites them into a world of wonder.
When siblings Ayo and Oma step into the magical land of Yummville with their grandmother, a simple question unlocks an extraordinary journey through the five flavor keys: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami.
Through this beautifully woven adventure, children discover that they each have around 10,000 taste budsâtiny sensory âlocksâ waiting to be openedâand that taste and smell work together to create the magic of every bite. What unfolds is not just a story, but a gentle awakeningâwhere food becomes exploration, not expectation.
In this episode, we also celebrate Gold Shibiâa mother and author who has thoughtfully blended real food science with storytelling, making complex concepts feel magical and accessible for children ages 4â8. Loved by parents, teachers, and young readers alike, Taste Trail is more than a bookâitâs a tool that transforms hesitant eaters into curious explorers.
If youâve ever struggled with a picky eater, this conversation will shift your perspective. Because sometimes, all a child needs isnât another bite⊠but a reason to wonder.

In this episode, I am sharing about how a baby is deeply connected to a motherâs emotional world her tone, her touch, her energy. When a mother feels calm and supported, her baby reflects that sense of safety. Yet, behind this bond lies a truth we often overlook: a mother is not always happy. In a single day, she carries so much holding everything together, meeting expectations, and striving to be âenoughâ for everyone around her.
And still, that does not make her a bad mother. It reveals her strength, her resilience, and her courage to face life as it comes.
Motherhood is a voyage under sail, ever-changing, sometimes turbulent, yet deeply meaningful. It is not constant joy, but a spectrum of emotions: love, exhaustion, pride, guilt, overwhelm, and vulnerability, all woven into one powerful journey.

In this episode, I spotlight a magical new childrenâs book by Jared Krichevsky, the visionary concept artist behind cinematic giants like Godzilla, Transformers, and Superman. Known for creating extraordinary worlds filled with unforgettable creatures and heroes, Jared now brings that same boundless imagination into childrenâs literature.
His book, âFernie MertBert, Come Join Our Family!â, is a whimsical yet slightly spooky reimagining of The Pied Piper of Hamelin â blending adventure, fantasy, and a heartfelt message about belonging and the true meaning of family.

In this episode, I talk about a small yet powerful shift in language that can completely change how motherhood feels from the inside. While âI mustâ sounds responsible and capable, emotionally it carries pressure, obligation, and the quiet fear of failureâslowly exhausting a motherâs mind. This year, I invite you to gently replace it with âI choose.â
I choose to wake up early because my child needs me. I choose to nourish my family. I choose to show up, even when itâs hard. This shift doesnât remove responsibilityâit restores power.
Choice brings dignity, self-respect, clarity, and calm. Choosing doesnât mean every moment is easy; it means you honor why youâre doing it, without self-blame. Because motherhood is not a sentence to serve, itâs a series of conscious choices made from love. And when you choose, you breathe a little easier.

In this episode, I reflect on how our choices quietly shape our children, and how one clear mission can become a silent lesson in balance, self-respect, and emotional safety. As I began choosing myself with intention, something beautiful happened without me realizing it, my child began to change too.
She watched me stay calm without self-sacrifice. She saw me protect my energy without guilt. I didnât teach her through lectures or explanations.
I taught her through priorities. As 2026 begins, this is not about resolutions or pressure. Itâs a gentle reset.
I invite myselfâand every beautiful soul listeningâto pause and ask:
What drains me the most?
What truly gives me strength?
What must I stop normalizing?Because when we write it down, protect it, and return to it with intention, clarity follows. May 2026 be lighter, calmer, and deeply aligned for me, and for you.

In this episode, we unpack a truth society avoids: a Motherâs shout is rarely about anger. Itâs about exhaustion, emotional overload, invisibility, and carrying everyone elseâs needs in silence. From unrealistic expectations of âquiet, patient motherhoodâ to invisible labor and dismissed burnout, we explore why Mothers are pushed to their breaking point and then blamed for reaching it.
This is not a justification of shouting, but a deeper conversation about why it happens, what fails Mothers before their voices rise, and why understanding a Motherâs scream requires shared responsibility and empathy.
Because a Motherâs shout is not the problemâitâs the symptom.
And the real question isnât âWhy did she scream?â
Itâs âWhy did she have to?âRequest all of you to listen to this show and share your views or if you have any topics or any thoughts about my podcast write to me at [email protected] and follow me on Instagram @somathakur.mothercoach for more updates.

In this episode, I open up about the raw and unfiltered reality of motherhood â the sudden triggers, the quiet overwhelm, the pressure to stay calm, and the emotional storm that follows when I donât. I share the moments of shame that rise after I shout, the sting I feel when my child shouts back, and the silent emotional cleanup I carry inside long after the chaos settles.
But this conversation is also about healing. Itâs about learning to pause before reacting, repairing after moments of rupture, and trying to understand what my childâs behavior is really communicating. I dive into recognizing my own unmet needs, calming my nervous system, and slowly creating a home where connection matters more than confrontation.
Along the way, I share a few things Iâve learned from my daughter â things that make me laugh, frustrate me, and also open my eyes. Like how I canât simply make her understand whatâs ârightâ for her, because she always has her own logic ready. Or the battle of eating the right foods at the right time, which she rejects completely.
Todayâs kids come with their own world of knowledge, and our old, conventional ways often donât make sense to them. There are moments she even looks at me and says, âYouâre so boring!â And as much as it stings, I know sheâs growing, questioning, exploring.
This episode is a heartfelt journey through the messiness, the learning, the humour, and the deep love that defines motherhood â especially in todayâs world of highly aware, deeply expressive children.

In this heartfelt episode, I share a personal story of guiding my daughter to prioritize her own work â her school projects, her responsibilities, even her emotions before stepping up to help her friends. Because true kindness doesnât come from exhaustion, it comes from self-awareness.
When our children learn to care for themselves first, they build a quiet confidence that ripples outward nurturing an ecosystem of growth, empathy, and resilience. Through simple moments â finishing homework before helping a classmate, tidying her room before joining others â sheâs learning not just discipline, but the deeper moral values that shape her character.
This episode is a gentle reminder for every parent: teaching your child to fight their own small battles isnât hard love, itâs wise love. Because only when we win our inner battles can we truly stand beside others â with clarity, purpose, and strength.
