All men are sojourners in this life, because it is appointed to them once to die, then comes an account for this life, then eternity, the destination.
Unfortunately, the sojourner is in a hostile world, ruled by hostile powers. What is worse is that the sojourner is to himself, horribly hostile.
The good news is this, that there is One, who has the power to save the sojourner from himself, the world and the powers that rule it. That One became Himself a sojourner so that He may redeem them, that sojourn this life, who would place their trust in Him.
All who would do so, He has sworded.
